We had a great time with our group of 4, the last river and the pools were fun, the grills were great to use and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I'm taking one star away due to the following: the lazy river and pool both close too early. I stayed at WorldMark Indio for the Coachella weekend and, while the property and the resort are beautiful, there are a lot of minor things that really just became an annoyance to me during my stay. Because it was the weekend of the Coachella music festival, the entire resort was full and it was extremely busy. Check in was quick and easy with friendly staff. Since it is a WorldMark location, we were offered the timeshare presentation (marketed as a "tour of the property"); we politely declined and they never bothered us again about it. The following items really annoyed me and I am not sure whether this is the norm or if it was because it was busy and the resort was full. - The resort DOES NOT provide additional towels. You can only replace dirty towels by calling housekeeping and trading your dirty towels for new ones. I have never seen a resort/hotel do this and did not like this practice. Just really annoying. - The resort does not offer housekeeping, even though we stayed for 4 nights! Our room was never cleaned as a result and we had to take the trash out ourselves. I even tried leaving the trash outside my door so that housekeeping can just grab it, but I found that it was just left there all day. Some other cons... - The AC does not work in the bedrooms. It is strong in the living rooms, but there is no air in the bedrooms for some reason. Being in the desert, it was sooo hot getting up to the high 90s outside. AC is necessary! - The food in the market/cafe is pretty mid... With WorldMark Indio being a large well-known resort in the area, I would expect the cafe food to be better. Pro though - I like that they have a market/cafe; definitely helpful to get a quick lunch in before heading to Coachella. - The security becomes very aggressive if you do not have their resort wristbands on. I accidentally left mine in the room on the first day and was almost not let back onto the property even though I could tell them my full name with ID... The best and really the only PRO I can tell you about is that there are shuttles here that take you to the festival! It is run by a private company called LF Festivals. It is very convenient and costs $145 per person. It is expensive but it was convenient and made it so that we had one less thing to think about. One thing they could work on though is the wait times. I waited over an hour sometimes to get onto a shuttle since the line was so long. Sometimes though there was no wait and I got onto a van immediately. Okay, I know I have a lot of negatives to say but it's a solid place to stay. I guess I just had high expectations because of the high price. Overall, nearly every staff I interacted with was very friendly and helpful and the front desk is quick to answer the phone when you need assistance with something. The room was clean and there is a microwave, fridge, freezer, and stove. Very convenient. read more

Pros: they let us check in early and leave our bags after checkout (standard). Good location for coachella/stagecoach but do not buy the standard festival shuttle as it does not go anywhere close to it. Cons: Timeshare presentation push (everyday, multiple times a day). The floor of the room was not even vacuumed/dirty. You have to pay $15/day for crappy internet (and phone signal was horrible). No ice anywhere. I wake before the sun rises.  Birds are chirping and they visit our patio.  There is a chill in the air.  It's relaxing watching as the sun rises over the mountains. Worldmark Indio is pretty amazing.  The first thing I noticed was the security outpost and gates.  This is the first Worldmark I have seen this much security.  Makes me think of Beverly Hills.  I didn't know Indio was such an exclusive community.  I am more familiar with the old Indio on the other side of the freeway where the hordes descend into Coachella each summer. This Worldmark is also the largest I have stayed at with 15 buildings.  I booked the 3 bedroom Presidential which has 2 master bedrooms with attached bathrooms with 2 jet tubs + 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds and a non attached bathroom. Full kitchen had a big fridge.  Freezer section was big enough for all my ice packs and pints of ice cream I bought. I loved being on the top floor as there was a great view and I couldn't hear the people below us.  They used excellent sound proofing. This is also the only Worldmark I've visited that has Happy Hour.  All you can drink sangria and bags of chips. Staff was very nice and I loved staying here. read more

WorldMark Indio Upon checking in, there was a discrepancy with the suite. I told her " no one in my family is handicapped. Please give the suite to someone who needs it." | asked if other suites will be available the following day. I was told in an abrupt manner that "all suites are filled today and for the week. This Suite is all we have!" The original Suite that I booked had a king size bed. This one did not. From previous guests, there was blood left on the toilet and floor. The suite had spiderwebs, unclean countertops, unclean stove. I contacted the booking agency that l used, and he was able to get in touch with I'm assuming one of the managers. She reached out to me the following day and ironically I was able to get a different suite. In this particular suite something was wrong with the plumbing under the kitchen sink. Upon me leaving I did leave a note letting them know that they need to check the drain because it smelled really bad. For references this was not my first time at WorldMark Indio. I'm really disappointed with my and my family's experience. read more

The location has a lazy river, several swimming pools including a kids beach entry pool, plenty of grills throughout the complex, and a convenient store. Fantasy Springs Casino, Concert Hall, several restaurants, and a Winco supermarket that's open 24 hours. Great place to visit. HOT! 105-115 Room quality 2/5 Our front door knob was extremely lose and 30% of the time, it did not open properly. Found two bugs in our room (3 bedroom suite) Roach (water bug) in the restroom yesterday And another bug crawling below a pillow today. I see a little door gap at the entry of the front door. Kept all the windows and sliding door closed at all times but they came in... or living in here. The same restroom that had a bug, the shower knob is loose and my family had a hard time turning on the water. The master bathroom towel hook is loose and half ways falling out. The cleanliness in kitchen was fine when we arrived. We kept it clean throughout the stay. Carpet transition strips shows flaws (gaps) Room overall is getting dated and not kept as other whyndham locations. AC works fine, kept us cool in the heat! There are so many things I like about the Worldmark Indio resort that it's going to be hard to fit it all into this review. But there are some things I think they can improve on, rather the whole company, and because of this I'm giving it 4.5 stars. I'll start with what they can improve on: their "highly suggested" sales pitch disguised as an owner update meeting. Now I know it comes with the territory but is something I do not look forward to. Most times they go over the 1 hour time slot and turns into a sales pitch to buy more and make it seem like you're foolish for not seeing the value. It hasn't been so bad at this location but just a reminder that people are on vacation and they would rather not be spending time in a meeting when there's relaxing to do! Ok I'm done with that, now on to all the things I like about this location. This property is slightly tucked away behind homes and a golf course, giving it a private feel. The entire property is very well maintained with staff walking around the property at all times. There is also so much to do, including the main attraction - the lazy river, pools, tennis, pickleball, basketball, shuffleboard and a fantastic entertainment room and gym. There are also many grills scattered throughout the property as well as seating areas. And my favorite, the on-site spa which I've always had such a good experience at. They have decent priced massages and they do a great job. I must also mention the rooms; they are spacious and comfortable and provide all the amenities that you need including all kitchen utensils and washer/dryer. Many if not all also have very nice views from the balcony. This is a truly excellent property where anyone can find what they're looking for in a vacation. read more

We've been coming here for a few years now. This was by far the worst experiences we have had here. There are too many changes going on. They aren't keeping up with maintenance. Lights kept going out. Cabinets look dirty and damaged. There was hair on our bathroom floor. The worst part was at check in. They try to get you to attend meetings to do time share. It guarantees you free stays. However, they changed the policy. Now the require you to put a "$40 hold" for your seat. We said fine. We will try to make it. Not the easiest with a sick baby. We couldn't make it. They called my phone and the hotel phone so many times that I got annoyed. We were asleep the first 4 times they called. I asked for my money when I finally answered, saying that we couldn't make it. They said "too late. Its already been processed. The worker named Javier had told us they didnt want to keep our money. That it was to "encourage promotion." So then why tell me all these lies? Why promote it as refundable? Why call me non stop when I am trying to relax and unwind. That caused unnecessary stress and annoyance to a relaxing time. Im still thinking what the hell. I still want my money back. read more

Not a lot of parking here. We arrived and had to circle around a few times which was frustrating. Check-in went fast but we had other staff members try to sign us up for timeshares which we declined several times. Everyone was super friendly and helpful though recommending local eatery spots, how to get around the property etc. We couldn't find any luggage carts by the elevators once we got our room keys though. Room: The room itself was really nice and spacious. It had a full kitchen, washer/dryer. The bed was super comfortable, sheets were clean. A/C felt great. There is an additional draw out bed in the living room area which is also comfortable. The bathroom/shower was basic nothing fancy. Enjoyed the views from our balcony. Never run out of things to do here. They have tennis courts, golf, a fitness center, arcade games, a small market/cafe. Cafe food was definitely worth it. Quality/portion size was good. I was pleasantly surprised. There's plenty of bbq grills to use all are very well maintained and cleaned consistently. Seating was in the same area so we didn't have to walk far. We enjoyed the shaded area, cool breeze. Landscaping is beautiful, they have several pools to enjoy, a jacuzzi and a lazy river. They also have a splash zone just for the kids. read more

DO NOT book with WorldMark Indio! They cancelled our two bedroom suite the day before our trip for a family of 5 because they were overbooked--completely derailed our family vacation. They tried to relocate us all the way to Cathedral City to a much lower quality WorldMark into much smaller studio rooms instead of just letting us cancel and giving us back our money. Even though we were able to book a last minute airbnb, we're now having to spend the last 48 hours going back and forth with customer service just to get a cancellation confirmation and our money back! Surprisingly, my family and I (my children, my grandkids, brothers and nieces) loved World Mark, in Indio, California. Besides the 2 1/2 hour drive from San Diego and the heat, we truly enjoyed our stay at the resort. The last time we stayed at World Mark in Indio was about 10 plus years ago. My grand kids weren't born then. Glad they were able to be a part of this vacation. Came here with my wife and family. So much fun! Rooms were spacious and clean with all the appliances and then some. Beds were so comfortable as well. Grounds were always kept clean and well manicured. Wasn't able to get in the pools/lazy river due to just getting tattooed a week ago but they looked amazing. We played ping pong, basketball, pickle ball; along with the games inside the arcade building. Staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. Overall had such a nice time here. Wyndham Mark Resort and Club Wyndham in Indio, CA puts you in the heart of Coachella Valley. This is a FANTASTIC vacation resort with loads of amenities including a game room, Starbucks, convenience shop, trails, golf course, lazy river, pools and hot tubs, pickleball & tennis courts, grills, picnic areas and so much more! My favorite was the Lazy River Walk from 8-10am. The water barbells were great for resistance walking. I'd swim some laps in the pool and go into the hot tub afterwards. You can grab a bite at the Lazy River Cafe. Our favorite was the Fancy Bagel Sandwich! We had a 2 bedroom suite. Very spacious! It also had a Murphy bed and a washer/dryer. It had a dining room, full size kitchen, living room and a beautiful view from the balcony patio. We had many family members there and had 4 different suites. We would gather in the 3 bedroom suite and have dinner together every night. It was great having a kitchen and grills nearby to cook. The grounds and grills are well-maintained. They say it is the largest Worldmark property and I believe them. Overall it was a wonderful stay in our 2-bedroom unit, which was surprisingly quiet. We looked at the other Worldmark properties in Palm Springs and while Indio is not close to town, it also wasn't too far to all the things we wanted to do in the area. I ended up really liking the resort vibe of this property and our favorite thing to do was to relax in the lazy river at the end of our day in the sun. The staff was all wonderful on-site and even the concierge was pushy, but otherwise pleasant, with good recommendations. We placed a room request before we arrived and when we checked in (early), they said since we requested a specific unit, it may not be ready until after 4:00p. It was closer to 4:30p, but I appreciated that they communicated this in advance and didn't keep us waiting too long. The kitchen had everything we needed and I've never seen so many barbecues which were constantly being cleaned. In addition to two pools and multiple hot tubs, there were many other recreation opportunities for people of all ages, including an arcade, daily movies, and classes. There were some resident birds, including roadrunners, and the property is surrounded by a golf course. They also pipe music throughout the property for most of the day. You do need to plan to bring things with you or drive for a bit (10 minutes) to get to restaurants, grocery stores, etc., but in a pinch there is a store and cafe on-site. We found everything we needed at the stores at the Jackson Street exit. read more

I must say, looking at the reviews of this place had me a little skeptical before our stay a couple weeks ago. We had three units and stayed three nights with about 15 people. Here's our experience in a nutshell. Check-in was easy, although the people trying to sell more time etc. was a little much, but expected. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Stayed on the second floor and could hear a lot from our upstairs neighbors, but nothing intolerable. Hey, it's close quarters and a vacay spot. Need to have some grace. Lazy river was fun. Staff there were very nice. BBQ's were plentiful and clean. Grounds were well kept and maintained. Here's where I was impressed the most. My daughter left her very expensive Dyson blow dryer and another curler in a drawer in the bathroom. She realized it a few days after we left. We called and spoke with a female named Spencer and explained the situation. Thought for sure they were gone. Spencer said nothing was turned in but would have someone check the room. A short time later Spencer called back and said they found the items. A quick discussion about the return process and we were done. Got the items shipped to us a few days later. That's pretty cool. Thanks Spencer!!! We are already talking about going back next year. It was a great time all in all. read more

Our first trip to Worldmark Indio checked most of the boxes. Check in on a Friday early afternoon went smooth. Had to visit the concierge for a "welcome gift". Not sure what the gift was other than wanting us to sign up for a presentation. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the lake. It was clean and nice sized 2 bedroom. It has the amenities needed you'd expect in a kitchen if you're there to cook, including spices and salt and pepper. The bed is comfortable, including the pillows. Shower had great water pressure. Plenty of towels. Could've used more coffee as we came for 2 nights and had 1 regular and 1 decaf. No ice maker around. You must call and order up to 2 bags of ice. The second day we asked for 2 bags and received 1 bag. We were charged $111 for cleaning since we didn't stay an entire week and they still wanted us to take out the trash!?! Although there isn't much seating, the lazy river can be a relaxing choice if the kids would stay inside the tube and chill rather than run around chasing each other. There are so many tubes that fit on this smallish river, so there are lines at times. However, I will say, the staff was helpful in finding unused tubes and dispersing them. A nice mix up is the different size tubes; small, medium and double size. There are many choices to eat and entertain yourself in and around the resort. The casino close by is a great example. Nice resort for a summer getaway! Came across a great deal through Priceline. Two nights under $250 for a 1 bedroom condo. I was assuming it's going to be small, turns out it was bigger than expected. Full kitchen with dishwasher, a washer and dryer to do laundry, large balcony overlooking the pool, and comfortable beds to sleep on. Bathroom had a clean tub for an evening bath while sipping on a glass of wine. Beautiful grounds with lush greens, tiny waterfalls, ponds, and even wildlife lurking around. Resort had two large pools and a lazy river for some relaxation. There's an arcade, pool tables, and movie theatre for your enjoyment as well. Can't forget to mentioned about the amazing views of Indio. So gorgeous! Perfect to take photos especially at sunset. Staff provided amazing service all around make you feel like at home. WorldMark Indio is literally my favorite Wyndham location in SoCal. My wife and I have stayed here at least 4 times including our bachelorette party and 2025 Stagecoach (before we became owners). We love this location because the rooms are so big and cozy and they have everything you need for a getaway. The beds are huge and so comfortable. The lazy river is AWESOME! I could literally be there all day. This location is about a 10 minute drive to stagecoach/coachella which is AWESOME! I'm dying to bring my family because I KNOW the kids will love this location because of the pools and the lazy river. I wish this place would upgrade little by little so it's as nice as the Scottsdale location with the fire-pit and the games for the kids..then that would be PERFECTION. read more

Best things are the pools, jacuzzis and the Lazy River. And there's ample gas barbecue grills or islands for that delicious steak dinner or hamburger lunch. Here's what I liked: It is well kept The ducks in the pond Mini Movie Theater Arcade BBQ Pits (We didn't use them but a LOT of people did while we were there) 2 Large Pools The LAZY RIVERRRR (My Fav) Starbucks and the Mini Market Layout of the room and the super soft mattress Here's what I didn't like: The check in process for owners at first glance seems very quick and easy, but the hassle to get us to attend a presentation is daunting! We had silverfish bugs all around the bathroom!! I'm unsure of how they got in but it wasn't a cricket thank God or I would've died and went to heaven. 9/10 read more

My Mother-in-law has a time share and we have taken trips with her to this location and also in Northen and Southern California. The Indio location is very popular, book in advance because you don't want to be on the wait list. Very convenient location, 1/2 mile from the Fantasy Springs Casino and Concert Hall, also adjacent to a golf course. Other amenities on the premises are swimming pools, game room for kids, laundry room, BBQ grills, walking trails, mini store with groceries and coffee kiosk. They host daily activities, like movie nights with popcorn, karaoke nights, arts and crafts. A calendar of activities will be given to you at check-in. We got a 2-bedroom suite, complete with a balcony, kitchen, cable TV, refrigerator, oven, microwave and living room. This is very convenient if you don't want to venture out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The grounds and parking lots are maintained on a daily basis. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is near the 10 fwy and makes for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We like to go to shop and dine in Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage, which is only 15-20 minutes away. Management hasn't even contacted us. 90 minute presentation turned into a two hour presentation and they refuse to give you your gift unless you complete when they're done. My boyfriend and I should've been signed up separately and they refuse to give my gift. Spoke Nicole and management. She refused to do anything and did nothing about it. Very very disappointing! If you're smart enough, the money that you spend monthly or your down payment for this timeshare resort, you can invest that with a financial advisor and make money instead of giving them 15 to 20,000 down and then a monthly payment of 200 to $400 a month and your pain interest of almost 18% be smart with your money don't invest! read more

I have been here three times now and have enjoyed all my trips. Both pools are fun, as well as the lazy river. We used the gym and took out dvds from the rec center. Staff are very friendly and bring you whatever you need right away. We went on a hike up on the berm behind the resort and got some great views. We also toured Joshua Tree National Park, which is stunning. Winco is close by so its easy to get groceries. The rooms were clean and I like that each room has a tv. It feels more like an apartment than a hotel -- perfect for families. We slept great. I loved the full kitchen (I enjoy cooking), the in-unit washer and dryer, and the spacious bathrooms. So convenient and clean. The resort is packed with things to do: * Two huge pools, a lazy river, multiple Jacuzzis, and kiddie pools * An arcade, craft activities for kids, and a theater room * Sports areas like basketball, tennis, and pool tables * Grills outside for BBQs * A large fitness center * And on-site: a Starbucks, café, spa, and a full shopping center The staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole resort has a peaceful, relaxed vibe. I didn't take photos this time because I was honestly just recharging and being present. It was such a refreshing break, and I'm grateful we made these memories. The only issue -- and it's been ongoing with each visit -- is the Wi-Fi. It's not free, and even after paying for it, the connection was really weak. I had trouble staying in touch with my son, and he also brought his Xbox hoping to play, but the Wi-Fi made that really difficult. It was frustrating, especially because it could've made his experience even better. Still, I absolutely love this place and we're already planning to come back for our Fourth of July trip. Pro-tip: this is actually the ideal place to lodge during any of your festival excursions as it's in close proximity to the polo club, but is well hidden and removed enough where you have that three degree buffer zone of separation. My room had a full kitchen, coffee maker, plates, utensils, etc. there is a television but I didn't use it. The shower had the perfect pressure. I fully utilized the fitness room. Full weights, elliptical, treadmills, etc. and they have an entertainment center for families (which is located by the pool and lazy river). Now here are the drawbacks: This place heavily pushes their timeshare Schtick. So be prepared to resist at all costs. Once I left, they even attempted to spam my mailing address even though I booked my weekend stay through Airbnb . For such a gorgeous piece of property, they can definitely swing even a basic continental breakfast. They have a minimart /makeshift cafe, it's not free. If less quality stays can do this, I don't understand why this place regarded as a cut above can't. Staff forgot to refill the shampoo receptacle in my shower. They were very slow to replace and failed to provide any sorta of maid housekeeping service throughout my stay. You have to wear an additional resort bracelet that on top of your festival bracelet.
