Played the celebrity course this weekend and unfortunately the poor behavior from course marshals overshadowed what should have been a good group outing. We were stopped at the turn and told we had to skip two holes due to complaints from the group behind that we were holding up play. The group behind was our friends who hadn't complained or waited for us all day. Instead of a reasonable conversation, the marshal informed us that we obviously don't play much (I was 2 over) and we didn't have a choice. As we drove down the 10th, we could see the group behind still playing approach shots to the 9th, and the group behind that wasn't even on the 9th yet. He led us to the twelfth hole, where there was a backup and we waited for every shot for the remainder of the round. I've never encountered a course employee with this type of attitude, let alone expecting it when paying this much to play. read more

Indian Wells Golf Resort houses two golf course the Players and Celebrity course offering golfers challenging greens with scenic mountain scapes and palm trees adorning the facilty. With a 56,000 sq ft clubhouse it is one of the largest clubhouse equipped with dining and bar facility upstairs and a large merchandise selection as well as locker rooms. The driving range is also impressive with trackman data at every hitting bay to give golfers all the data they could ever want. Range balls are free and you can warm up to your hearts content. Starting off with the Players course the first day this course was tough with its rolling greens, this course is suited for the big hitters. Most greens are surrounded by bunkers that are well placed so approach shots are key. As for the Celebrity course it was shorter but provided enough difficulty with bunkers strategically placed at around the 200 yard landing zones. Highly recommend the Indian Wells Golf Resort to any golfers looking for a challenging round at a world class facility with a wonderful staff. read more

Newly redesigned Players course is open it played great on Opening Day. New greens, tees and bunkers and at least 7 new or redesigned holes were great. Very walkable now as well. Can't wait to play it again. Well done, everyone involved with this! read more

We arrived early to practice since we are from a cold weather state and haven't swung a club in a few months. The practice facilities were some of the nicest I've used. They had Trackman to measure your shots. Loved that as I have no idea how far I hit my clubs. Very informative. They also had couches a tent if it was chilly. Heaters. The only thing that at to improve would be to hit off real grass instead of artificial grass. Great way to start. We then headed to the putting green and chipping practice area. Also very nice. The practice greens seemed to be slower than the course greens but it could easily have been the operator. The course was lovely. The forward tees were slightly over 5100 yards which is fair. Fairways were often narrow and there is lots of sand so club choice and accuracy is a benefit. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It was a great course to play as our first course in 2024. read more

We brought a group from Minnesota and played seven days in greater Palm Springs. The Indian Wells Players Course was the worst and most expensive. The driving range is hitting off matts not grass. The course was under repair and we were carts path only on 8 of the 18 holes resulting in lots of walking. The pace of play was slow. We only saw the Cart girl twice and she was very unengaging. The greens and fairways were in poor shape. The staff in pro shop and around course were old (our group was 50-75) and the least customer engaged of any course, they were talking amongst themselves and could care less about us. The course is not on any of our apps (Arccos and Golf watches). The course said yes we didn't share our updates your devices won't work!!! Save your money there are much better courses than this course. read more

What a nice surprise. We had lunch here. Upstairs they have a wonderful Restaurant that overlooks the golf course. Not only are their spectular views the food was fantastic. We started with a Calamarl Steaks as an app.They were so bomb! Paired w a sauce with a small kick. Nailed it! Next came the Burger w/ white aged chedddar, arugula, and garlic aioli on Brioche. This took me straight to my happy dance. Cooked perfect and full of flavor. French fries were crispy with garlic, salt and possibly parmesan!!!! oh! My My my. We sure did good tonight! I think we are coming back tomorrow for HH! Great Service Great Food Location was Prime I will return! Their grounds are lit up at night. This was a nice surprise when you come in during the day and leave at dark. What an added benefit to our vacation! Thank you, Vue Staff and the golf resort you Killed it! This hotel is beautiful and resourceful. We stayed here for a week and enjoyed all the outdoor activities from the pools, spas, golf, and ping pong tables! Great resort for young families and lots of places to eat and relax. read more

I wish I would have taken more pictures but trust me the course was beautiful. From the moment you drive up, until the minute you drive away, you are treated with incredible customer service. As for the course itself, even with the reseeding on all the fairways, it was such a good experience. It's tough but not overbearing , even for a high handicapper like me. Interesting enough there was only one par 3 and one par 5 on each side. Personally, I loved that. There were so many beautiful holes with waterfalls, streams, flowers, etc. The greens were fairly quick but exactly how I like them. I shot in the mid 80's (good for me) but felt like the course was gave me plenty of chances to shoot even better. Great golfers will love this course and average golfers (like me) won't be intimidated. It's a pricey golf course, definitely a treat for me that won't happen often, but if you're in Palm Desert anytime soon, I say you go treat yourself. Great course! read more

We came here for my daughters dance competition at the resort and I took my 12 year old son with me to golf for his second time ever. We booked a tee time from GolfNow.com and it was $75 for me and $51 for my son at the junior rate. Afterwards the guy in the clubhouse told me to book through them directly next time and it'll be cheaper. Upon arrival at 545a I was immediate greeted outside and they carried my bag down to the cart area while I checked in. I was booked with another twosome but we were one minute late and the starter sent the other two ahead first which was great because we wanted to play by ourselves anyways so it worked out perfectly. The carts have gps and digital scoring and will show the distance your cart is away from the hole. It will also show you where the group in front of you is in case you're at a blind corner or turn. Nice high tech carts on this course. The marshalls greeted us throughout the course and they filled up ice for us both throughout the day. Every four holes they filled us up with ice and there was water and bathrooms at certain holes. They also give you a towel So you can wipe all the sweat off as we were playing in 90 degree heat at 6am. The recommend soaking the towel in the ice water and then putting it around your neck and that felt great in the heat. The course is nice and mostly all green. I barely saw any dead grass at all despite the 100 degree heat everyday Overall is was a great experience and they cleaned my clubs for me too at the end. Some reviews said they paid over $100 to play so I'm sure it's more expensive at certain times in the year. read more

On Monday morning I made a reservation at the Celebrity course for a 6:40 am tee time. I love booking early tee times so to avoid the desert heat. I was paired with a twosome and another single. The single plays the course every few days and is very knowledgeable on how to play the course. Overall the course is in excellent condition. With the drought condition it is surprising that there were no brown areas between holes. Some of the holes have tight fairways while others have wider fairways. There is a lot of water features and hazards and there are a lot of beautiful flowering plants in the area. The green fee for a round was $195 which is a little steep for this course. The crew running the course is very professional and friendly. Water with ice was available at three different locations and plastic cups were provided in the golf carts. I must admit I did enjoy the round even though I was pretty tired from walking about 35 miles the last 7 days. read more

Some positives, mostly not... The lounge and their shows were exceptional the two nights we went. wonderful acts! At a glance, this is a lovely, classy hotel, but it is very tired and needs a refresh badly. The hotel had no TV service. We were told on check-in, the TV should be up and running in two days. However, we had maintenance come to our room to move our refrigerator so we could access it (since it was tucked in the far end of the closet and the bed was in front of it rendering it not accessible), and the maintenance man said the hotel is changing cable services and it would be weeks before the TV service would be back up and running. The beds (mattresses) were horrible! They are way past their use by date! The mattresses were bad worn and sloping toward the floor from too many people sitting on the edge over the years, so you had to sleep in the middle to avoid rolling off. They are lumpy and have no support; so soft that my back is still aching days later. Lots of deferred maintenance around the property and the beautiful pool area has trim pieces worn and coming off around the stone. I am handicapped and the wheelchair ramp has a huge lip making it difficult and bumpy to cross. Even the room door threshold has a lip making it difficult to enter and leave the room. Also, only one handicapped parking spot! Our room was dark, the plantation shutters would not stay open. The patio doors were a nice touch, but they led to a patch of grass before the parking spaces steps out our patio door. Our view was the parking lot and street. We asked for a different room, and they had only one other room to offer and it was worse, with the door opening to the lobby and lounge! Two rooms available and both horrible options, and we checked in at 4pm. All in all, this was a nice hotel years ago; it can be a nice hotel again, but it is badly in need of a refresh. The owners are trashing their property by letting it run down so badly. I suggest, go and enjoy the lounge and shows (6-9pm) and stay somewhere else until they have refreshed the hotel. The cart hole screen/monitor didn't work and the beverage cart was more ridiculous than normal. There were a few pretty holes to enjoy. Greens were fast. Headed up to dinner with our group afterwards. Paid $130/person for what was realistically a $70 meal at best. A little square of a piece of flat bread, an underdressed boring salad, an entree that was under-seasoned..I didn't even bother with my potatoes and the driest chocolate cake for dessert...I didn't even finish it and that never happens. $12 for a well drink. $18 for a double tall. At least they used Tito's vodka. Service was the only thing I can say was good. I am sure there are better options for golf and dinner that we could have spent our $750 on. We will not be back. Pro shop seemed higher than normal too. $50 for a hat and the $140 for a standard polo shirt. read more

My husband and I had a horrible experience. Yes the course is beautiful and the Valet service was great. We went out in the afternoon and the starter told us, "you should have a great round." We had been out about 2 1/2 hours and on the 13th hole and suddenly we were surrounded by a scramble. People were driving all around us, going the wrong way and crossing in front of us. We realized they must have overbooked this scramble. The foursome in front of us were fairly slow and the twosome behind us kept hitting into us. They thought is was funny. We ended up leaving after the 16th hole. When we got in, we shared our experience with the guy taking our cart, he didn't want to hear it. He didn't engage and just said, I'll drop your clubs up top. And drove off. We have golfed for over 15 years and have never seen such an unprofessional management of a scramble and lack of caring about the players experience. We all pay to play, especially a prestigious course like Indian Wells Celebrity Course. We have never experienced anything like this and it just ruined our experience. We will not recommend this place to anyone and we will never return! read more

We played The Players on Jan 15. The staff in the pro shop are wonderful. The greens are perfect. However, the bunkers around the greens are like concrete. I'm a better than average sand player and was very frustrated with the quality. Very, very disappointing for what they charge for greens fees. read more

This course has been on my list of places to play for many years and finally we got the chance to play the Celebrity Course one day before they closed this season to aerate the greens. I had made our tee time reservation online and screwed up the date, so when we arrived and were greeted it turned out that my reservation was for the day before. Not a good way to start off- but luckily Joe was able to fix my mistake and get us right out on the course. It was a hot day but there was a decent breeze. The greens were fast but for it being the last day of the season, the course was in excellent shape. "Phys-Ed" got us familiar with the course and gave us some tips for hazards and washes. His smile and love of the course is a good way to warm up. The course is tough, but very fun to play. Worth the money we spent- even late in season. Hoping to get on the other 18 and check out that beautiful clubhouse when things open back up in the state. read more

We came here over the holidays. A big group outing for kids and adults to use nighttime driving range and neat miniature golf experience for adults and kids where they projected lights on the putting green for different games. Pretty slick. I liked everything about the place. Nice family holiday atmosphere. Easy free parking. You can order food and buy all types of hot drinks, alcohol, wine. We bought a bottle of chardonnay for $35. Pretty decent price. This would have been a 5-star experience if the miniature golf area had an attendant to help us through the automated system when we hit confusion points. For the final minutes we just horsed around because the automated golf games were too confusing. And we had tech savvy people with us (yours truly not one of them). read more

I live near here and have been to The Vue restaurant a few times. The view is pretty and the food is ok. They have been struggling for years to stay open and have tried several things like hiring a celebrity chef etc, but they continue to struggle. I decided to support them and signed up for Easter brunch 2024 online. I called them a few weeks before brunch to add another adult, and they even sent me a reminder the day before Easter for our 4:30 reservation (that they assigned to me online). When we got there they said they closed the buffet early (I'm assuming because they had a poor showing and told me that they left me a message at 2:30 pm (which I didn't get because I was in the shower and I honestly am not attached to my phone) ON! EASTER! DAY! to come in earlier. So when we got there they were closed! I told them that it's Easter, no other restaurant will take us and that all the grocery stores are closed! They just kept saying over and over "we left you a message." I would say "that's not the point, why didn't you call yesterday? Where are we going to go for food now?" I will NEVER eat there again. Now I understand why they are failing. That was just not cool to leave us high and dry so late in the day on a major holiday. read more

There was no notification online and there was no one there to tell us that we had bought tickets for something that was canceled. I've phoned and emailed several times for a refund and I can't even get anyone to call me back. I had a car full of kids and we were all super disappointed. Celebrity Course. June 2019 - 06:10am tee time. It was our mission to make it back to Indian Wells Golf Resort for the Celebrity Course and I'm glad we didn't wait too long to make our return. It's been nearly a year since we were in the area, grinding out the Player's Course. Now it was time for the Celebrity Course. We were familiarized with the checking in part since we've been there before. The only difference was the driving range was now located upstairs and not down below in the channel. The starter advised us to cross the bridge and look for the second left which lead us to tee box #1 for the Celebrity Course. I really regret not writing down the name of the starter. He was a cheery dude who gave us plenty of tips before we teed off. Again, exceptionally warm and friendly staff. Can't ask for more. Celebrity is the newer course of the two. It's shorter in overall distance but don't let the length deceive its difficulty. The fairways are narrower on this track. There's less room for tee box errant shots. Around tee box 9-11/12, if you fire it down the channel and decide to go down there to retrieve the ball, know that it will be a pain trying to come back up. The starter told us, "10 second to get down but 15 minutes to come up and no carts are allowed down there." Yeah, we took his word and didn't bother trying to go down there to retrieve any golf balls. I found myself playing shorter but strategically placing shots for the follow-up shots. Numerous times, the big stick never came out the bag but rather the 3 wood was good enough. We teed off the blues (second longest). There are a total of 6 different tee boxes you can choose from. Also, just like the Player's Course, the GPS in the golf carts are spot on. We verified distances with our range finders and the yardage were almost aligned. The Celebrity Course felt a little more picturesque at times. Lovely landscapes and postcard worthy back drops. The greens were running smooth and the overall golf course was in pristine condition. What I like about both Players and Celebrity Courses is that even though they run on the same property, they play and feel quite different from one another. I would highly recommend playing and experiencing both if can! Plus, it's really convenient if you're staying at the Hyatt or the Renaissance that are adjoined to this golf course. read more

I've always had great experiences golfing here. The pro shop is beyond friendly, the cart attendants are always making conversation, and the bar always has been above and beyond. The course is kept up very nicely and the greens are medium-fast, at least compared to other courses I have played. I will always suggest the celebrity course over the other, but that probably because I have better scores there lol. I'll be back! read more

It was awesome The staff treated us like VIP's taking time to show us the ropes We started with the putting area with a stroke play match then played the darts setting. Super fun! Then we grabbed pulled pork sandwiches, mac & cheese and a cold beverage at the food truck. Finished the night by playing Pebble Beach in the TopTracer hitting bays. WOW! What a blast! Played at 6:51 on a Thursday morning as a single and was paired up with another. Pace of play was a tad slow with two foursomes in front but finished in 4:25. Course in good shape but greens a little bumpy from being punched three weeks ago. Great value at $89 that includes cart and range balls. Service from staff was outstanding! Water stations with filtered ice and water every three holes, but one was out of service. Will play again when out in the desert. read more

NEVER AGAIN! RIP-OFF We played Indian Wells Golf Resort today. We teed off at 9:45, by 1:30 we stopped at hole 14 because there was 4 groups on the par 5. We had to wait 10 minutes at the tee box each time, VERY SLOW play. Unreal!! No Marshall's helping to speed groups up, no beverage cart but on hole #2 We paid $400 to play 13 holes...what a waste of $$ and time. They need to get their stuff together. Don't blame COVID-19! Played today, June 10, 2023 and the greens were absolutely unplayable. They were not only mostly dead and dirt, but had also been aerified so the experience was horrendous. Strongly recommend no one play this place until they get those greens back. Celebrity course only: Fast green. nothing spectatular with the first nine holes. Course is challenging. You need to bring your putting A game to navigate through these tough greens. There area few water holes in the back nine. The back nine will give you a Better feeling of money well spent. Cart has gps and ice chest. Bring your own drinks to fill it up. They have a pager that they hand out that alerts you to let you know when you're next on the tee. Got a tuna wrap and mrs.vickies chips for $14 from the cart girl. The best part was the chips. I've had bad tuna before but this takes the trophy for worst tuna. I have no idea what went into the mind of the chef that created the horrible thing. There was some greens, tomatoes, and cream cheese. The tuna alone tasted gross. I would definitely not recommend getting anything from the cart girl if its made in house. If you can mess up tuna, I do not want to know or taste anything else that comes out of the kitchen or that chef, ever!! Restrooms/locker room in the club house is super nice with the waterfall! Loved the locker room! Tips: *You can book tee time months in advance on their website. *hotel guests get a cheaper rate. *Marshall does drive around. *there is a cart girl that drives around. *there are restrooms on the course. *every few holes there's little shack looking things that have plastic cups, ice and free water dispenser. *starter is really nice. *they allow spectators witha small fee. *you'll see birds and squirrels. *self parking is available. read more

To pay $250, one expects quality golf. Our group drove here from Las Vegas and were severely disappointed. We've talked about this course for months. The nicest piece of this course is the entrance and clubhouse. Course played terribly. Grass was mediocre. Tee boxes mediocre. Greens very fast, but not terrible. Pictures online need to be updated and a flyover should be done twice a year... flyover is years old. We played quick - we were rushed by groups behind us as well as the starter. To pay $250 per ($1000 group), we should not have felt rushed while on pace to finish in 4 hrs 20 mins. Do not recon this extremely overpriced course. Desert Island the day before played for $100 and was 10x better. read more

Winter fest is a bust. Do not go! It's a good idea but very poorly managed. We reserved the top tracer driving range for the family. When I got to the check in 5 minutes early I was told to wait until our reservation started. So other families who were later were ahead of us. Then when we got to the bays no one was there to greet us. We ended up finding our own bay. I decided to get drinks but waited in line for 15 min (25% of my reserved time) only to find that the only bartender was prioritizing the globe attendees for drinks. This is not top golf. read more

I attended a beautiful wedding this past Friday at this beautiful setting! As we were welcomed inside the ballroom we found our table and my nephew in attendance with my sister that the bride personally invited! The manager HARY PORTER was extremely rude and very unprofessional! When we explained he was added onto the guest list but not the seating plan he continued to be very rude and proceeded to tell us that my nephew would have to be served last which we understood and we were okay with, he then added that my nephew would have to pay for his food! My nephew had to get up and interrupt the maid of honor and the planner to come talk to him and explain that my nephew is indeed an invited guest as proof he even had a place card! I myself have been in the banquets industry for several years and a fellow banquet manager! There was no need for Hary to be so rude and insulting. He ruined my nephews evening leaving him feeling unwelcome and left a sour taste on everyone in our entire table that witnessed such rude behavior on an otherwise beautiful night. It's a shame that such a beautiful venue has such an unfitting manager that doesn't know what it is to work weddings, a night of such importance to the bride, groom, and their families!
