Once put into context, this is a very nice place! Prices are good, wait staff super friendly and accommodating. Nice comfortable tables and spacious layout. Food wasn't stellar, but absolutely good. Guten-free option available. Considering the location, this is a wonderful option to have!

Top 5 Absolute WORST dining experiences my husband and I have EVER had. After we were seated, three other tables were seated, and had their orders placed before we were even given the opportunity to place a drink order. 40 minutes after we were seated, our appetizers arrived. $14 for TWO fritters and another $10 for 6 cold mozzarella sticks. Meanwhile, the tables seated after us were already getting their meals .... Finally, over an hour after placing it, our order shows up. Not only was it NOT what we ordered, it was burned! But by the time a server came back to check on us it had been another half an hour. In the end, we refused the order. They charged us for the appetizers and ine drink, we were not compensated. We spent $29 and change on 2 appetizers and wasted an hour and a half at this place before driving across the street to a market and getting a frozen pizza for $11. I will never EVER eat at FL again.

First time here and was nervous with recent reviews but it was a great dinner. Definitely going back during the summer for a breakfast before the lake.

Fargher Lakehouse is so charming! We stopped in for breakfast before a day of exploring and we didn't want to leave. The menu is simple but they have something for everyone. I wasn't a big fan of the French toast, but the pancakes made up for it. I would recommend you stop here for the dining experience and not necessarily the food; a casual, laid back ambiance with great service.

For mains, my friend ordered the elk burger, and as a self-proclaimed elk burger connoisseur, her approval means something -- she thoroughly enjoyed it. I went with the pulled pork sandwich, which was good and flavorful, and paired really well with their pepper & cabbage coleslaw on the side. We also split a cup of the roasted red pepper and tomato bisque, which was honestly a highlight of the whole meal -- rich, well-balanced, and worth ordering on its own. Drinks deserve a shoutout too: their non-alcoholic options were great. My friend raved about the guava lemonade, and I had the blueberry vinegar shrub, which was excellent -- bright, crisp, and refreshing.

Close enough to PDX hotels to Uber. The food was spectacular. The salads are huge. The ribs looked amazing. The lamb meatloaf was extremely tasty and the chicken pesto fettuccine was able to be made without fettuccine for me with just extra veggies and it was stellar. They did not even balk at substituting the extra veggies.. the swordfish special with the mushroom risotto and grilled asparagus was awesome. Everything was cooked to perfection and our waiter. Torben was the highlight. He had a wonderful, can-do attitude, very accommodating and extremely friendly. He really treated us amazing and his workplace as though restaurant was his taking pride in his job. The desserts that walked by our table made me wish I had only shared a meal with someone. Everything looked incredible. This needs to be put on your top five to try list.

My fiance planned a wonderful mountain getaway for us, and lucky for me- we had dinner reservations here. It was so chilly in December, We had a cold mountain day, and we bundled up to go to our dinner reservations and I have to say- I wasn't expecting much when I heard the name "Grill". I was thinking- burgers, fries, your typical post-ski grub. I was wrooong! We strolled into the coziest little restaurant and were greeted by the two lovely people working there. Felt like I very sweet family vibe. They steered us in the directions of the pasta dishes we ordered, and we had the Soup of the Day to start- I believe it was some kind of Tomato bisque and that hit the spot. The Hazelnut pasta was a hit for my fiance, and I loved that he got to try such a classic Oregon flavor in a pasta- how fun. My chanterelle ravioli filled me up so fast, I also loved being able to try chanterelles in this format. Both dishes felt very creative and full of so much Oregon pride! Delicious!

The restaurant is on the country club grounds, however there is ample parking for diners and golfers. In addition to the formal dining area, there is also an option for outdoor seating. We had reservations and were quickly seated. It was pretty busy as it was Friday night, but our server was very attentive. Our table was served warm bread while we contemplated the menu, always a huge plus in my book! I'm a sucker for huckleberries, so I ordered the Huckleberry Drop, which features local huckleberries picked from the base of Mt. Adams, it doesn't get much fresher than that! For my entree, I opted for the small Caesar with salmon. Other entrees ordered for the table were the Halibut and Chips, Burger and Fries and Shrimp Alfredo. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous for the price, I even had leftovers of my small salad to put it into perspective. As mentioned, there are beautiful views of the Columbia Gorge from the dining area as there are huge windows. It really adds a nice ambiance! This would be a great spot for a date night, family dinner, company party or just to treat yourself after a long week!

We did order the Asado Argentino for two but I think next time, we will order something else. Not that it was too "adventurous" for us, but simply, not everything was to our liking and I'd rather order one thing I know I'd like. The potatoes were so dang good, the only thing I'd say is, I wish the sauce was on the side. We had leftovers but decided to eat the rest of the potatoes in the restaurant because we knew it would get soggy overnight. My only complaint is that the rum mousse was too strong on the cake and I couldn't eat any of it, but I personally just don't enjoy any alcohol in general. It was my first time here, but I think would go again, though a good friend of ours said that Ox has become quite overpriced for what it is and it didn't used to be this way. Honestly everything was seasoned well and the effort and variety on the menu was enough that I think it's worth it to go at least once.

We used to use another farm (non-Angus) and the beef just wasn't as tasty and also a lot tougher, regardless of cut. I appreciate that their beef is raised naturally on grass pastures, free from pesticides, hormones, antibiotics and GMO's. I always knew that grass-fed was better for you, but never could really articulate why. Plus, we could not really afford to buy very much in the stores. Their website does an excellent job of explaining the benefits of grass-fed (both for human health and the environment) and, we discovered that buying in bulk lowers our per pound cost significantly from buying it pound-by-pound in the store. I found them by just Googling, "grass fed beef Vancouver Wa" years ago when I was not happy with the farm we were using (which by the way, no longer raises beef). I'm so happy I did.. I believe the owner told us that they had been raising Angus for about 10 years (so, that would be about 12 or 13 now), and that they were really learning how to dial in and get a good result. I can tell you, *whatever* they are doing, it's excellent. I highly recommend using Basket Flat Ranch for your beef. It's awesome to support local farmers too.
