    Gluten free toast
    Angela C.

Gluten free review: So, my mom and I strolled into the charming Country Café, where I half expected to see a sign that reads, "all gluten all the time." To my utter surprise, they actually had gluten-free bread! Yes! Thank you country cafe for helping me feel like i matter too! I decided to go all in with a ham and cheese omelette, topped with fresh avocado because, you know, I'm fancy like that. I also snagged a side of hash browns, because carbs are still my true love, even if they're gluten-free. And let's not forget about my sidekick, the gluten-free toast, which was just happy to be on my plate! Everything was as tasty. The atmosphere of the café had this nostalgic vibe, like I was dining in my grandma's kitchen but without the awkward family stories. It was cozy enough to make you want to grab a cup of coffee, kick back, and reminisce about a time when you didn't even know what gluten was. All in all, if you're on a gluten-free quest, the Country Café is like a treasure map that has some gluten free toast! They don't have a lot of gluten free but I appreciate what they did have. If you're wanting some old school vibes with some breakfast stop by and give it a try.

Pricing for entrée was OK but the rest is overpriced by 50%, IMO.

I have been hearing really good things about this place. I thought I'd give it a try for breakfast this morning. There is plenty of parking and there is a bank of EV charging stations in the lot. The place is interesting with ads for local businesses covering the table tops. Not a problem, just an unusual thing to me. The server was welcoming, pleasant, and efficient. I found the food to be OK, but honestly not at all exceptional. The portions are very large, so my companion and I shared a meal - biscuit and gravy with bacon, eggs and fried chicken, and also ordered a cinnamon roll to share. The cinnamon roll is very large, nearly 3 inches tall and probably a 6-inch diameter. The biscuit was humongous, but just OK in terms of freshness and taste. Gravy was good and the chicken was good. We both liked the cinnamon roll. Now for my critique of the coffee. They did a great job of keeping my cup full and there is half-and-half as well as a couple of flavored creamers on the table, but it's not exceptional coffee, just what you would expect from a diner and it's $4.99 which to me seems considerably overpriced. This should be $2.99. Also, as I said, the cinnamon roll was very big and good, but it was $9.99, which I think is overpriced by four or five dollars. The biscuits and gravy, because there was so much that came with it seemed to be properly priced. I don't think that I'm cheap, and as a former restaurant owner myself, I understand pricing well, but I found the prices to be on the high side so I probably will not go back.

    A $60 meal for 2 people

When we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant, which made me wonder if going there was the right choice. Food was ok, but not great, and definitely not worth the $60 (with tip) for TWO people. One pancake was $7.99!! I ordered decaf coffee with my meal, and the waitress mentioned needing to put on a new pot, which was fine by me. When she did bring out the pot and started pouring it, it looked like brown water. After putting creamer in it, I took my first drink and could hardly taste the coffee. That mug of diluted coffee cost me $4.99. We will not be going back.

We love this place for breakfast. They have some of the best French toast I've ever had in the breakfast burrito with bacon is excellent. I like to get my sauce on the side. We moved to the area the end of April and we have tried this place three times, it's very consistently delicious

New owners. This place is not good anymore. They used to have the best pancakes. Very sad they are not the same as they used to be. For my son and I this place was our go to for breakfast since he was a little guy. My son no longer has these wonderful pancakes to remind him of father-son times.

Located next to the arco I was hesitant to try this place out. Lots of parking Clean interior and clean bathrooms Charging stations for electric vehicles Food was fast, delicious and good quality. Bacon was crispy and sausage was lightly browned. Kids meals is a good value. I got the country gravy biscuit. Comes with a thin slice of lightly breaded chicken, bacon, cheese, egg and gravy. It's my new favorite! Also got the breakfast burrito with sausage. Highly recommend. Only thing I wasn't so thrilled about was $4.50 for a cup of coffee and $4.25 for an iced tea. Those items should not be that expensive. We will be back and recommend giving them a try!

    "French Toast"
    Liz F.

This was seriously the absolute worst breakfast I've ever had. Coffee was literally just brown water, no flavor at all. I was craving French toast, so I ordered two slices of their "Famous French Toast"... It's legit just sourdough with a corn flake crust. Um, excuse me what? I should have sent it back and demanded a refund, but I ate enough of it and then we paid and left. The waitress seemed miserable, she probably just ate the "French toast". Avoid at all costs.

Excellent spot for dinner. I started with their bowl of Chill... SUPER DELICIOUS. I was greeted with a beautiful smile PRISCILLA and she was super awesome, friendly, great personality and super efficient. PRISCILLA made excellent recommendations with the Turkey melt and salad. ALL EXCELLENT. Inside has that great diner/coffee shop vibe, which I love places like this. Thank you PRISCILLA for making my dinner GREAT. Highly recommend

Came here to charge along my way to Canada and was pleasantly surprised. There's free Level 2 charging for EV's and the food is amazing. For all the low scores about service, shameful. I had amazing service where she was prompt, polite and regularly checked on us. Any issues was immediately resolved. Most importantly, the food was just shockingly good. My partner ordered the chicken quesadilla with a cup of chilli and OMG, shut the front door, this was insanely good. Topping it off was my fajita salad that was just fresh as they come and perfectly seasoned and a nice crispy taco bowl. I loved it all. Thanks for the great time.

Food was decent for diner style fare. Everything was seasoned appropriately, Hashbrowns were really great. Door to get in was a bit awkward because it's busy and you have to pass through multiple double doors. Server was all business but not in a rude way, just efficient and not trying to make much small talk which was fine for me. She was nice when someone behind us kept trying to send their food back. The colors inside are interesting and there is a Mexican food sign outside. We were wondering if the same location turns into a Mexican restaurant at night?

Delicious breakfast! Portions are huge! Food is cooked to order homemade. My chicken fried steak was tenderized in house and hand breaded! The French toast comes on a special brioche thick cut bread! Definitely a winner! We all left happy and full! The staff is attentive and friendly. They service lots of people quickly. It's right next to charging stations, perfect while you wait for your car to charge.

Nice place. Steady traffic on a Sunday morning, but not crazy and no wait. Waitress met us at the door and showed us directly to a booth. Food was pretty quick and very yummy. Might try one of their desserts next time.

My rating of this place isn't as high as my kids'. They rate it a 4-5*. There must have been a clear bias because of the onion rings. They said it's the best onion rings they've had in a long, long time. I tried one- don't give me wrong, it was good. It had that perfect crunch and sweet onion inside. Maybe I'm just not an onion person. The chili was good. Garlic bread was too brown for my taste and you can visibly see the burnt garlic. It tastes bitter once it's burnt. To me, the food was okay. Don't get the kids meal though - whatever price (8.99 maybe) they were charging wasn't worth a few nuggets and a couple tablespoons of applesauce. I noticed that the kitchen was popping out food faster than the wait staff can get it to the tables. We waited a long time for the food -as in over 20 minutes. The restaurant reminds me of a non-pretentious, country-lovin' cafe which fits their name. Some seats in need of repair but no biggie. It adds character! Bathrooms are decent -better than a gas station just up the block for sure Parking was easy and lots of EV chargers nearby too. It's close to the freeway for a quick bite.

The food is glorious. And it was packaged so nicely and attractively! Plenty of limes on the side even though we didn't request additionals. I had the Tres Quesobirria tacos and each was so packed with delicious beef! The bouillon was incredibly flavorful. I could only eat one, but one of my guests had one of mine and liked it very much. I had the last one just heated in the microwave the next day and it was almost as good as the first day. My husband and another guest both had the carne asada tacos and liked them. My husband is picky so I was relieved that he was satisfied - he actually used the words "really good" which sort of amazed me. Another guest had the chicken taco salad which was generously adorned with probably an entire avocado, and quite a lot of chicken. It was artfully prepared. Sides of rice and beans were even special; tasty and appreciated. I will be making a trip to La Catrina in person sometime very soon.
