Just had my last post-op follow up (11 weeks) and I still have nothing but amazing things to say…read moreabout the entire staff that works for Del Rey MD. I truly wish that every avenue of medical care had people like they do here. From my procedure until now, I have experienced 0 pain. My nose is just about completely healed and the difference in my breathing and sleeping quality is night and day. I can't imagine having gone the rest of my life breathing the way that I was. Post-op check ins over the weeks consisted of: checking out my healing through the little nasal camera, an allergy patch test, suggestions to keep my turbinates from growing in size again, reassurance that everything was healing great, etc. I'm not sure if I will ever have a reason to come back, but I will 100% be recommending Del Rey MD for those in need of an ENT. Thank you again, and especially to Lauryn, for everything!

Bait and switch. Try a different office. The nurse and doctor I saw were both great--kind,…read moreprofessional, and helpful. I felt comfortable and well taken care of during that part of my visit. Unfortunately, things took a turn when I interacted with Angela (the blonde older lady staff member). She was very aggressive about trying to schedule me for an elective procedure that I wasn't even sure I needed yet. Instead of giving me space to think things over or ask questions, I felt pressured and uncomfortable. She kept making comments about how she works in multiple offices and making the appointment for a few months out would be easier for HER. She kept saying "I can't even call you to follow up in 5 months?" And said I would need to pay my copay to hold the appointment. Her attitude really took a turn and she just handed me a black folder and said "I guess you can just read about it yourself then, you're all set" and I walked myself out without anyone saying goodbye, or following up. I hope the office can address this, because the medical care itself was good--but the end was a total bait and switch.

This review is long overdue. Due to a traumatic experience it has taken me almost 4 years to write…read more In September 2020 Dr. Hurvitz repaired our son's face at just a few hours old. Dr. Hurvitz is a wonderful surgeon and human being. My newborn baby was cut from eye to ear during a crash c-section. 3 plastics surgeons turned down the repair because they felt they weren't skilled enough due to how deep the cut was and the proximity to nerves, his eye, his ear, muscles, the age of the newborn and other various factors. They weren't sure if my son would be able to feed, or use his eye. One surgeon called Dr. Hurvitz in to the hospital for a consultation. Thank God Dr. Hurvitz agreed to come in and do the surgery. He was off, and at home with his family. His team kept my baby alive when he had to be intubated and struggled to breathe (he was hours old and had been exposed to many drugs during the crash c-section because they couldn't get me numb). Finally, at almost midnight I got to meet my son after 8 hours. He was perfect. His incision/ scar was minimal. It's hardly noticeable now, almost 4 years later. Sometimes when his face turns red I can see a faint white line. It was so big, so complicated and so deep, and now it's a tiny paper thin line. The stitching was beautifully done. Most importantly He was able to nurse, and use his eye, he had no issues opening or closing it. Dr. Hurvitz repaired the muscle, nerves and incision perfectly. His office staff are also wonderful people. They patiently worked with me on insurance and payment. They answered every email, and call. They are a Wonderful group of ladies. Dr. Hurvitz bedside manner when I met him and his assistant put me at ease. I don't remember what he said, but how he made me feel. He cared. He was funny. And he's absolutely the best surgeon. Thank you Dr. Hurvitz. You were one of the few good things that happened to us during that horrible experience. We thank God for you every time we look at our son's face. He's gorgeous and healthy. The scar is minimal and most people don't even notice it. I would absolutely trust and recommend Dr. Hurvitz.

The forms were delayed so I made a special trip to the office to collect them. The office was closed on a Friday. Finally when the forms came I tried to fill them out the best I could with my failing eyesight. I do well in typing, so I wrote a one page letter explaining my history. Dr. Willner did not want to know anything about my health and had a very rude attitude, bragging about his training. His laptop was the only important thing, not me, the patient. He did not like me, an 93 year old woman, and he let it be known. He made a sarcastic remark to his girl Claudia when her gave instruction for a future appointment. He did not say good-bye to me, but gave me a dirty look. I cancelled the appointment.

My mass turned out to be cancer and Dr. Willner's follow-up has been remarkable. I can't say enough great things about him and I would recommend him to anyone that needs a great dr or surgeon. My experience with his staff is also great. They are very friendly and welcoming when you enter the office. If you have to wait a little bit I don't mind because I know I'm getting the best care possible.
