Was able to swing by this hidden gem of a coffee shop, and goodness! I can't recommend this place enough! Yes, it's off the beaten trail, but it's worth a visit. It was so cute and cozy inside, perfect for having quality time or getting some work done. In terms of beverages, you can tell that they specialize in having a unique coffee selection, which I feel like is just not as common in today's run-of-the-mill society. I had the barista surprise me with a drink of her choice, and it was wonderful! I also love that they took the time to train and hang the barista's certifications behind the register - this just adds so much credibility to a small place like this and makes me want to support their business even more. Truly can't wait to return, despite the long drive! I also have to point out that this place was so incredible with my professionally trained service dog. I was able to come across one of the owners of the business during my time there, and they were so ecstatic to see a trained dog in their business. Such a cute coffee shop! I wish it was much closer so I could become a regular. I instantly thought of a few of my friends who I would love to show this place off to. The decor is adorable and perfect for a variety of photo opportunities if that's your thing. At the time, they had a whole fall theme of decor outside, but the indoor atmosphere was very modern farmhouse. I couldn't help but notice the Debut Taylor Swift album on shuffle :) I was just slightly bummed that we didn't end up with the ceramic mugs and beautiful latte art, like they have pictured all over their Instagram. Paper cups it is. Not sure if we were supposed to ask? I thought the coffee was pretty decent, but not very memorable at this point. Hope to be back one day! read more

Stopped in today due to previous Yelp reviews and found this an enjoyable place. Plenty of variety in drinks and tasty food. A friend and I both enjoyed their April coffee flight (see pictures). I had the turkey sandwich and friend had the triple grilled cheese. Tasty and fresh. They also have gluten free bread for those who can not eat wheat (celiac). They are located on Hwy 39, a.k.a. Chestnut Street. Inside the dining area is new and upscale with five tables and two couches one with a coffee table and three comfortable chairs for the coffee drinkers. Service was fast all around today as there were only a handful of customers at noon on a Wednesday. I ordered the Ham & Cheese with Chips. The sandwich comes hot which I prefer because the cheese is melted. It was a good sandwich! I also ordered a Vanilla Milkshake which was excellent. All in all I had a nice lunch in a quiet quaint little coffee shop that has a nice size breakfast and lunch menu. They are similar to Local Grind. Parking is available in their exclusive gravel parking lot. Beware there is no drive thru. read more

This beautiful shop has helped keep my sanity over the past year. Living in a remote, wooded area, even after things began going back to normal (-ish), the only places I really ventured out to was to Farm House Brew to grab a beautiful coffee & whatever the lunch special was, & next door to the Morgan County Public Library while Farm House prepared my food. I've always felt welcome & appreciate everyone's smiling, friendly faces. If I didn't need multiple computer screens for work, I'd be working from the shop anytime I'm "working from home"! I highly recommend you stop by... you HAVE to get an order of biscuits & gravy on Saturday mornings, & I love a mocha, with fresh cookie, & sausage, egg, & cheese english muffin. Brew: both coffee AND beer! This small restaurant serves breakfast and lunch items (or early dinner until 6) just a block off the main street of Monrovia. Though it started with lots of coffee options and a few breakfast pastries and dishes, it recently got its license to carry beer (all were local craft brands) as an option to go with its lunch menu. The interior is warm and inviting with a blackboard menu on your left as you enter. The order counter is to the right of the menu board and the pickup is around then next corner from where you order. There are two dining areas, both somewhat small, but plenty of room for my mid-morning visit. I decided to go with a black coffee, a cinnamon roll, and an order of Farm Fresh Egg Bites. The coffee comes in 3 sizes and they have four varieties available. I went with a medium blend that was ready to drink. No scalding here! The cinnamon roll was served warm and had a tasty layer of icing that was sweet but not cloyingly so. No sugar overload, just good flavor. The Egg Bites are something between an omelette and quiche served in the shape of mini muffins. Two per order was plenty when combined with the cinnamon roll. They do have a hot sauce for those who prefer that on their eggs. Otherwise, they have salt and pepper shakers at the pick-up window if you need it. They had decent flavor on their own. I noticed they sold bags of whole coffee beans (but they will grind it for you if you want them to.) Oh, and unlike most places that make you bus your own table, they have a sign that encourages you to leave you dishes on the table and they will take care of cleaning up after you. The place is filled with sign of encouragement, family, and generally positive themes. It feels very inviting and a place I was glad to dine in. Service was prompt and I had my food ready to go. Note that they have some spots in their parking lot for "grab and go" customers as well. Although it may be a bit off the beaten path for some people, it is worth checking out if you are in the area! Best kept secret in Monrovia and I-74! My husband and I were about to pull off the interstate into a rest stop as we were driving from IN to MO this morning when we decided to check out coffee shop options nearby. We found Farm House Brew with a five star rating just 10 min away. Quick off and onto the freeway. Other reviewers have left detailed praises of the food, the service, and the venue. We found all they wrote to be true. Best coffee drinks and muffins we've ever had anywhere! This business was just started by a local family in December. They get their coffee beans from a roastery in Indianapolis. Beans are roasted in Tuesday and delivered on Thursday. Talk about fresh coffee!! And it was the brainchild of their youngest daughter, who now works there, and told her mom that friends were driving 20 min to get to Starbuck's before school! The rest is history. Very good! Cute little space in Monrovia that serves up coffee, soups, baked goods, and more! They had ran out of their soup (which sounded amazing), so I opted to get some of their farm fresh egg bites, a cinnamon roll, and some freshly brewed unsweetened iced tea. We ordered our food at the counter, and they brought it out to our table. My egg bites were delicious. I believe they had ham and baby spinach amongst the cheesiness. So good! The cinnamon roll appeared to be homemade and was also fabulous. I am eager to go back and try some of their homemade soups! Also, they make blended drinks, which are my favorite. My in-laws live very close by, and we've driven by this shop multiple times and it was finally the time to stop in! I had been following their Facebook account for a while and checked before we left to ensure they were open and what their hours were. When we arrived, we were a little caught off guard that it was call-ahead/carry out only. We walked back to our car and called in our order and sat in the car for about 15 minutes. When our time was up we walked back to the door to get our order and again was a bit surprised I had to rattle off our full order again, as if they didn't have the receipt ready. I think they may have been a bit behind, as the customer in front seemed a little impatient as well. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy, one cinnamon roll, iced caramel latte and a regular coffee. Everything was just okay. My latte was much sweeter than I anticipated and the cinnamon roll was a little hard, although the icing was INCREDIBLE. I did let my in-laws know and suggested they try them out for lunch sometime. I wanted to like this place but our experience left us with little to like. We walked in with hopes of finding our new meetup/coffee spot but that hope was quickly sniffed out. Upon our entrance we were not greeted but ignored while one of the owners finished her conversation about her mission trip. We at least expect a quick, "I'll be right with you" but nothing. After several minutes of listening to her talk, a natural break in the convo happened, that's when she asked us what we wanted. We ordered two large farm fresh coffees, they were a decent price for size. Before she took our money she was already back to her conversation with the other customer. She absentmindedly put two large empty cups ( no lids or coffee sleeve, which was on the other customers cups) on the counter and turned to finish her chat. I didn't know if that was the end of our transaction or not, so we took the cups and found the coffee station. They have a selection of 4 flavors to choose from. Breakfast blend was empty and she took it away but didn't refill it until a different customer requested it. I wanted the breakfast house too so we waited. While we were waiting for the breakfast blend, I sampled the other coffee flavors. The other owner was nice and put ice in the coffee so I could try it right away. I decided I still wanted breakfast blend so we stood around waiting for it to brew, that's when the chatty owner asked the other owner (out loud) why we were just standing there. We thought that was rude, and by that time we were over this place and decided our experience was not one worth repeating. If you like decent priced average coffee and poor customer service then I would recommend Farm House Brew. read more

Holy smokes! This place is great. It's a coffeehouse and restaurant. I stopped by here and met a friend in Monrovia. They have fantastic food, drinks, and coffee. The menu is made up of the good stuff that looks and tastes just like it came from your grandma's kitchen. Beef n noodles were on the menu yesterday. I used to go to this location when it was a hair salon and had been wondering what Farm House Brew was....beer was the first thought. so I googled it and found the Facebook page.
