Best walleye sandwiches and Reubens ever! We did not expect to find a place like this just off the atv trail in Amery! Great selection of coffee drinks, full bar and an exquisite menu full of local and fresh ingredients. Waitress sold us on the hand harvested seasonal strawberry drinks; highly recommend! The garlic and cheese fries were a spectacular appetizer with the green ranch sauce. The entrees (Reuben sandwich and walleye sandwich) were top notch. A five star experience all around! Fun place! Great for dates, family outings and mid-size gatherings with a warm/hippy atmosphere. All the food is farm fresh and you can read about what farm(s) your food is coming from across various signage. In the summer, you can enjoy the outside patio and there is always inside seating with generous spatial room. The coffee bar is my favorite! Lots of options both warm and iced. For brunch I recommend the mushroom omelette, quiche or the smashed hash - all outstanding. In the front of the restaurant is a mini shop with locally made gifts along with bakery items and take and bake items. I want to give this place 5 stars but I just can't! Here is the good part. Great ambiance, great patio and great parking. Here's the deal. It feels like no friend of the owner/chef has given any real feedback. I've tried this place 3 times and have always been disappointed. Here are some questions for the chef. -what is going on with your pizza dough? Please google how to make pizza dough - salt and pepper - it's a spice that you should have on the table and your food needs it - staff - not really cool - special Italian beef sandwich sucks (see pic below of a sandwich I couldn't finish!) - ketchup WTF WTF WTF?!?!??!! It's like tomato paste. Buy organic Heinz ketchup if you don't know what ketchup tastes like but want to be local, organic, or whatever!! Anyway, cool place but the food isn't that good. I agree that local is awesome but that doesn't mean you can just buy a bunch of local products and throw them together and call it a meal. Please think about a real recipe for whatever is in season. Spices and seasoning are there for a reason. I want you to succeed so please don't take this the wrong way. I just don't think you have gotten good feedback! read more

The food was fantastic but it took a couple hours to arrive, in piecemeal!! They also gave us an extra Bloody Mary when we didn't order one, messed up my friends drink, did not bring the other patron his syrup, brought my sauerkraut out and hour before my eggs, they did not tell me they couldn't poach eggs until they brought me sunny side up eggs, and they switched the waitstaff on us mid-meal. Trent tried hard but he needs training. The toast and skillet were fantastic though. I will go back but only if I take a half day off work next time. read more

Every August, I spend 2 weeks in Amery, WI and one of the things I look most forward to is a visit to Farm Table Foundation. The food is always high quality, fresh, and flavorful. You MUST order cheese curds here (on Saturdays). I also recommend the mushroom Swiss burger paired with the seasonal side salad. Nice balance of sweet, savory, acidic, and deliciousness. A Gem in Amery, WI. Rare do both my husband and I LOVE both dishes. I had the Spring Roll Salad with the Braised Chicken - delicious with tons of flavor. My husband tried the Lamb & Pork Stuffed Roll he said the roasted vegetables & rice paired perfectly with the stuffed rolls. We also started with the seasonal corn dip. Fabulous, healthy, homemade local food from brunch to dinner. They have something for everyone with healthy salads and kombucha to burgers, cheese curds, and cocktails. I also really appreciate that with the current climate as it is this is an ultra clean and safe place to eat. The outdoor patio is accessible from the street or parking lot so you don't have to step foot inside the restaurant if you choose but they also have indoor seating. Came in for brunch I had the breakfast stacker with potatoes so I could have the house ketchup, delicious food. Wife had the vegetable hash it was good as was the service and coffee. Fantastic sound track. You have to try the cheese curds, the Reuben sandwich is very good though it was slightly on the dry side but still very good , I would definitely have it again , the coffee was perhaps the best decaf I ever had . What a treasure! This place has friendly service and a menu that makes decisions difficult. The food is delicious and the drinks/beer on tap don't disappoint either. Order the deviled eggs, they are a unique twist on a yummy app. In fact, everything has a unique twist but it still appeals to "normal" food tendencies. Our family of 5 all had different entrees and everything was amazing. A modern outdoor patio rounds out a coffee shop vibe -- well worth checking out. We'll be back! read more

Some of the food, like the scrambled eggs and ketchup were excellent. While other things like the breakfast potatoes were not so good. Amazing find! Everything about this place is fantastic and would stand out in a city of 290,000. The three brunch items our table had were all flavorful and yummy. Went to dinner here and had the fish tacos and a veggie sandwich. Food was really outstanding. The tacos featured White Fish from Lake Superior and all the sides and veggies were very fresh. Love how they list the farms that all their food is bought from. Gives you confidence they really are committed to supporting locally grown food. Desert was amazing. October 2017: my second time to visit Amery. Just had to check out the Farm Table for dinner. The menu is selective I had the steak and was not disappointed. Then was pleased about having a choice of gluten free desserts. I chose peanut butter cookies-TASTY! I must say though, I was very disappointed that they serve omelets all day, until 4 and even though the menu options are few, they would not prepare and serve an omelette. I would have appreciated more gluten free options in the menu that were less than the $30 steak. An omelette would have solved that fir me. October 2016: Super nice restaurant on the main drag in Amery, WI. EXCELLENT service and help with their gluten free items. I thoroughly enjoyed the Purple Haze Burger that was beet and black bean patty. Nicely accompanied by a salad with a fresh vinaigrette. The food was so so, but the service was absolutely horrible. Took 15 minutes before they asked for our drink order, then we also put in our food order, which took another 40 bonus to bring out for an American breakfast, Reuben, 2 kids cheeseburgers. The one cheeseburger came out as a grilled cheese and the other one didn't have any cheese on it! The table behind us waited just as long and then when they asked about their food the server came back to tell them there wasn't even a ticket put in for their food! I also asked about the specials, because I could not remember what was on the board outside and the server told us there weren't any. Then as were leaving, I heated a server at the table next to us telling about the specials! We won't be back, sadly. read more

Turned over a new leaf! We visit my partner's parents in Amery regularly. The first couple times we ate here were not great. In the past few months this place has completely revamped. The new staff is attentive and knowledgeable and the food is cooked to perfection. We generally get breakfast. The hash is a lovely medley of seasonal veggies and local meat. This place is really ambitious and delivers 99% of the time. They are committed to using local ingredients and showcasing the rich variety of ingredients available in the area. The chef is creative and highly competent. The menu changes often so it's hard to name a particular menu item I love, but I've had great dinners, wonderful soups and extraordinary baked goods. And they make craft cocktails! There is nothing like this in the area. You have to remind yourself you are in a very small town. Ignore the atmosphere, which is more small town cafe than fine dining - but it is fine dining. The attached Farm Table Foundation offers classes on making any number of foods that are part of the upper Midwest immigrant heritage, like lefse. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Amery. Every time we are in town visiting family and friends, we always make sure to have at least one meal out here! The locally sourced food is always freshed and perfectly prepared! We love this place so much that it was a natural choice for our wedding rehearsal dinner last weekend. We came to eat here after a weekend away in the country. It was a little detour on our way home and it was so worth it! The ambience and music were so warm. The food was beyond my expectations. I absolutely love food and trying new restaurants, and my standards are high. This place provided more than delicious food! The food was delightful. Plus, they try to source local foods and support their neighbors. All around a win. The service was impeccable and personable. We had some nice chats with the people there. This type of restaurant is exactly what I'd love to see more of in small towns across the midwest. The farm to table concept lead to incredibly fresh and delicious food as well as giving a visitor like me a snapshot into the local food market in Wisconsin and we know that as tourists and visitors we are supporting all local businesses during our visit. The staff was warm and welcoming to me and my family and we were lucky to experience small town hospitality with farm fresh foods cooked with a fine culinary taste!
