They have developed too much attitude and cannot even answer a question over the phone without coming in for an hour private consultation for additional expense. I must have caught them on an off day. The selection of products is unusual and pleasing, and the prices are surprisingly not as exorbitant as I feared. However, my experience with the customer service was, unfortunately, not what I hoped for, especially after reading all the other great reviews. We were treated as an inconvenience and I almost felt they were insinuating I was somehow to blame when they rang up a 3.49 lip balm as a 14.99 sunscreen and had to correct it. I'm not even going to take the time here to describe in detail the monkey shines that went on, but the "apology" I received was in a tone of voice and delivery you might hear from a surly teenager. When I apologetically said I was feeling impatient because it was hot outside and I had groceries in the car, she said she understood, but that the incident was also extremely stressful for her. What, WHAT??? I have worked many years in customer service and I would be ashamed to have treated a customer the way I was treated here today. The poor customer service was really the one thing that sullied my experience and would cause me to be reluctant to return. read more

My teenage son was experiencing loss of appetite and other unpleasant side effects from an ADD medication he was taking, and was also in a nutritional rut. He has always been a picky eater and getting him to eat a variety of foods, not to mention ENOUGH food to keep his weight up had become harder than ever, and he had lost quite a bit of weight and it was effecting his energy and concentration levels. At his age, he was loathe to eat "what mom tells him" so I decided to take him to see a nutritionist for both guidance and inspiration. I figured if he took ownership of his own nutrition, he would do better. We contacted Lily at Farmacopia who suggested we stop in and speak with her nutritionist, so visited during their drop in hours the next day and spoke at length with Trina. Trina was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and connected immediately with my son. We made an appointment for a full consultation, and she spent close to 2 hours with us, sharing snack & meal idea lists, detailed nutrition advice, and more. She had experience working with kids & teens with ADD & who experienced med side effects, and was non-judgmental and open. It was just what he needed, and especially effective that it wasn't "mom" who was advising him to shift his eating habits. The guidance we received at Farmacopia was invaluable, and I am so glad this resource is available in our community.
