This herbal pharmacy has been my Go-to for herbs for general anxiety, when I'm sick, anytime. Their herbs are top-notch, and the vitamins are the best quality. I do find their prices to be high on the Reishi roast, etc., but its probably because these are top-notch. It's funny that there's a typical American pharmacy next door! I have had wonderful experiences going to Farmacopia in the past. Today I called to order a tincture, and the person on the phone was very kind, friendly and helpful. But when I went in to pick up the tincture, no one else was in there and the person working, after I said hello, did not greet me, glanced at me and looked away, and went back to whatever work she was doing. She wasn't helping anyone else, wasn't on the phone, just doing something with products on the shelves. I stood silently for a little while and she finally spoke to me. She didn't smile, she was not warm, just asked if I needed help finding anything and I said I was there to pick up a tincture. I had on yoga pants, a sweater and a jacket, my hair was clean and brushed, just a regular Sonoma county customer. The difference between the demeanor of the person on the phone and the one in the shop was unpleasantly noticeable. I felt unwelcome and unappreciated, exacerbated by the fact that I had just spent $50 on a tincture. This makes me not want to return. read more

I really love this shop! The staff is incredibly helpful, their selection is amazing (have you tried the Reishi Roast?! YUM!), and I LOVE the classes they teach there! So far I've taken classes on seasonal shrubs and syrups--both I frequently make now! What made me a customer for life was the free lung support syrup they gave out during the fires in 2017. I was thrilled to hear they started a mobile non profit to help this year (especially non-English speaking people) who were effected by the fires. Update: I recently tried Cough Quiet for a dry cough I got after (unthinkingly) cleaning out a storage/patio space. In my day, herbalists were people who cared, wanted to help, be generous -- but now, in this place at least, I always meet with worthless, uncaring staff - cold, condescending and unpleasant -- and never HELPFUL! Seems u have to purchase a $$ session w/someone to get any decent service; I suspect these people are very unhappy in their jobs, painfully unable/unwilling to be kind or helpful. Nearly 5 minutes away from my work I was able to go on my break and pick up a couple tinctures made for me right at the spot. It's one stop shop for anything holistic and natural.
