They had someone playing guitar and singing, and the acoustics in the place were horrible, so we couldn't even determine the song being played. It didn't help that it was packed with lots of kids. Our first server took our drink orders and then never came back. Eventually, another server took our beverage and food order. Beers were good and so were our chips and guac. After screaming at each other to even be heard, we decided it was time to leave. Our second server could not find our first server, so we only had to pay for the second round. Would not go again, unless it was a beautiful day!

Expectations were high, after my sister's go to craft brewery closed down and her husband took to Stone Silo immediately, signing up to be a club member. The building itself did have a stone silo on property that opened up to fields. There was a rustic, farm type feel walking in the front door. Welcomed by stone and dark colored woods, the facility was quite large and clean with ample seating. A glance outside there were fire pits and chairs to sit set, along with an 'adult only' section if you don't like your craft with a crying 2 year old. I sampled a few beer including the IPA, which was a bit underwhelming, but expected since the West Coast is known for quality IPAs. I settled on the Japanese rice lager, 'Nojo with Yuzu.' What a mistake! Not something I could get behind and I like yuzu too. Just too tart for a lager and not what I was looking for in my light beer selection. Second round I tried their Czech style dark lager, Clever Crow. Not sure what about this was supposed to be lager, it really felt more porter-ish to me, did not drink light and just not what I was looking for in a dark lager. The grounds and staff were great, it was a fun place to hang with family, but maybe I just made two poor beer decisions. What I liked most is how many low ABV options they have so I can have a drink while still keeping track of my kid and being able to drive home. The service was phenomenal. I asked a lot of questions about the drink options and the bartender was able to answer everything or refer to a manager for help. I decided to get the frozen mojito which is made with their spiked seltzer so it has an ABV of 5%. It comes in 3 sizes and I got the smallest one. It was so tasty and refreshing on a hot weekend! The mint flavor came through without tasting like toothpaste. I would definitely get this again and try some of the other frozen drink options too. There is so much outdoor space for kids to play! Families had infants, toddlers, and elementary school aged kids with them. Kids were kicking a ball, parents were strolling the babies, and everyone was having fun. My daughter loved walking through the grass and observing all the lawn games being played. It was so easy to sip my mojito and watch over her. I am very happy I found this brewery and am looking forward to a returning visit with the family.

It was a rainy day, and everyone was indoors, including those with dogs. The reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is because they allow dogs inside. As someone who is allergic to dogs, I find this off-putting; especially when they jump on me when I walk in the door. I also prefer to listen to the music and not dogs barking at each other, but that's just me.

Dont miss out on Pines and Needles on Thursdays, where you can bring a vinyl and listen while you enjoy a cold one....one of our favorite nights to attend. There is no service this is a working brewery people are pleasant enough but somewhat brief and direct. You order your nachos via the code or walk up to the food shack. Where the chef and his lovely wife are so personable and nice with your special requests (no dairy no gluten) that you will come back for a second bowl of chili with his homemade pickles jalapeños. You can walk to the pine forest and eat at a picnic table beneath the trees or sit indoors (some smell of brewery) or eat on their covered patio. Non alcoholic is limited to Boylan creme soda, root beer or water. It is worth the trip imho for the chili - it is very good chili and he is entirely too modest about it.

And I love that they give back to the community in areas such as education, community and philanthropy. Stopped in this past Saturday with a bunch of my gym friends. I love that their tap list offers a little bit of everything for everyone, from classic lagers and IPA to house ciders. I am a Pilsner girl, so their Pilsner was my fave. I love that they do weekly events such as Trivia and open mic nights to name a few as well as host a few several food trucks out back. Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. Saturday they had empanadas from Aru Aru, which were very yummy and made fresh to order. Best spot if you are a beer connoisseur, great place for happy hours and is accommodating for large parties.
