Jay and Sandy are really great and provide excellent customer service. My favorite beer is Moonscribe, but even when they're out, I always find something else to enjoy. They have plenty of options to cater to most beer drinkers and alternate quite often. The vibe is chill, and they have events often. Dont miss out on Pines and Needles on Thursdays, where you can bring a vinyl and listen while you enjoy a cold one....one of our favorite nights to attend. Overall, great local brewery that is a must to check out!

This was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I've had in a long time…read more We visited on the Fourth of July and, surprisingly, we were the only customers there. We had brought a couple of small snacks, not realizing that outside food isn't allowed. We completely understand that businesses have policies like this, and if it had simply been explained politely, we would have immediately put the food away without any issue. Instead, the manager, Angel, approached us with an unnecessarily rude and confrontational attitude. What should have been a simple, friendly conversation turned into an uncomfortable interaction. Even after we acknowledged the policy, the rude behavior continued, making us feel like we were inconveniencing her by simply being there. There's a big difference between enforcing a rule and treating paying customers with disrespect. The policy wasn't the problem othe way it was handled was. Hospitality is about making people feel welcome, especially when they're willing to comply after an honest mistake. Unfortunately, this experience ensured we won't be returning, and it's hard to recommend a place where customer service is treated as an afterthought.

I'm not a fan of mushrooms at all, but my date was so it was just kind of annoying to pick each and every shroom off of my slices. They also got rid of their Burrata pizza which I thought was probably one of their best pizzas.

We found beers to fit both of us there. I have also had and enjoyed the wine they serve from a local winery. The staff is fantastic, atmosphere is great, building and grounds beautiful. We drive 2 hours to get there. One time was a stop in a jeep drive and the second was Frey's overlanding and wine tour. We had a lot of fun at both. Yesterday was the wine tour and my first time driving in 4 wheel drive. It was a perfect experience, because I wasn't looking to break my Jeep and we didn't want to destroy the farms. We stopped at the winery and had a wonderful viogner . I highly recommend checking out them out. We can't wait to go on another 4 wheel adventure and enjoy good wine, beer, and people.

I ordered their Euro Lager and Truly Wild Berry Seltzer. The owners served us quickly and were happy to have us over the holiday. The overall environment was very casual which we appreciated. Afterwards we stopped by their market area and looked around. The had a variety of chilled and counter beers and wines. We decided to grab a champagne to go in the spirit of Christmas! We were happy with our overall experience and were glad that they were able to accommodate us over the holidays!

The creation of the patios through and beyond the pandemic was a great move. The vistas never disappoint, the charcuteries boards with fresh baked bread have always complimented the wine well, the food trucks and various vendors have always been fun, but a piece was missing. That piece has been added! We were pleasantly surprised to find The Terrace Kitchen by Chef Tony Castellon delivering an elevated menu with options from homemade chocolate chip cookies to The Amalfi Toast featuring a personal fav boquerones. There are options on that menus that are to die for including veg options as expected. Note: There are chilled vegan options inside ask the desk. We enjoyed the Mediterranean inspired with Japanese twist Char-Siu Skewer with ponzu aioli, and lemon wedge dipped in a (chili, paprika, cumin dust?) was perfect to balance out the skewers. Damn tasty lamb and beef the squeeze of the lemon and spice perfected it. The Crispy Potatoes were a delight, not too heavy or greasy, nice char, and full of flavor delivered by the lardon, green onion, and melted Gruyere . Very satisfying, would order again. The Amalfi Toast is a do not miss IMO. For the uninitiated, boquerones are Spanish white sardine filets cured in acid then packed in olive oil. Unlike the premium salty boney tinned sardines available in the US, the result is a delicate cured white sardine filet over toasted focaccia coated with whipped buffalo milk garlic butter and fresh herbs. Outrageous food my friends, just delicious. Thank you Chef! Your CA roots are showing. The chocolate chip cookies were very good. We missed the duck taco special on the board which I would have tried no matter what. If it was a confit duck taco, well IYKYK. So kudos to Black Ankle Vineyards and Chef Tony Castellon. We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.

We talked about some of the events like wine tasting and menu changes and line dancing. We saw more of the gorgeous venue and bookable space for 300 indoors.
