This is the perfect spot if you're looking for a quick lunch! It doesn't look particularly appealing from the outside, but it's cute inside. I would recommend taking your food to go, but they do have a few picnic tables outside. Most people just stood around waiting for their food to be ready during the lunch rush, but it didn't take too long. The sandwiches were pretty standard, as was the selection. I didn't get a chance to try any of their baked items, but they looked pretty good as well!

In spite of a long line of people, I was greeted with a genuine smile and helpful patience. As I began asking questions, the lady behind me advised me to get the lemongrass chicken banh mi. She also said that the Viet salad rolls were amazing. I tried both. During my brief wait, I added two cookies and an individual strawberry rhubarb pie. When my food arrived, I noticed the delicious peanut sauce and asked for another container which was cheerfully provided. The sauce and the rolls were fresh, crispy and delicious. They were mostly veggies so don't plan on a lot of chicken, but definitely worth $8.75. The bahn mi was also on point with crispy veggies and a grilled chicken breast on a tender roll. I was starving and ate every bit of both dishes, but I didn't feel the usual guilt or heaviness. Just a happy tummy! Keep up the great food and service and I'll be back!

The counter and coffee bar from my seat along the windows. Charming decor.

Worth a visit for the warm welcome you will receive upon entering! The welcome that I and every visitor received was enough for me to decide to come back. Two eggs in the egg and veggie sandwich on a biscuit. Definitely a full meal. The pastries all look amazing and I have a chocolate ganache cupcake to go. They've got a kids menu, and wine by the glass as well as coffee and tea. Lovely gem of a place.

Marinated Chicken Banh Mi Sandwich - got it to-go...delicious!

First time here and definitely won't be my last time. I was working nearby for the day and decided to see what was around for lunch spots. Farmer in the Dell was the first place that caught my eye. I immediately saw pictures of the chicken banh mi sandwich and knew that's what I wanted. I ordered it over the phone early since I figured it would be busy there around lunch time- and even with covid I was right, it was busy. I was glad that I ordered it ahead of time and to-go because my sandwich was ready and waiting when I got there. I also picked up a bag of multigrain chips, a peanut butter brownie, and a package of hermits for family. The banh mi sandwich was all that I wanted and more. It was so tasty and fresh I honestly felt I could have eaten two of them haha. The chicken was deliciously marinated and it paired perfectly with the cilantro and slightly pickled carrots/cucumbers and the perfect amount of mayo + the French bread. Without a doubt, get this sandwich, you will enjoy it very much! The peanut butter fudge brownie was really good but my only disappointment was the top layer of chocolate/peanut butter on the brownie came completely off when I opened up the plastic container it was in, leaving it all over the top of the container - It was pretty thick and fudge-like, which was yummy, but made me wish I had a spoon or knife to get it off the container. Definitely ask for utensils if you get the PB brownie because it was unexpectedly messy. Also- this brownie seemed like it could have been flourless? I am not sure, but it definitely did not have a cake-like texture. But more dense like a flourless brownie, and a very fudge like consistency too. Hermits were really good too. I have a feeling everything is great here. Excited to go back and try more from Farmer in the Dell in the future!

Tuna salad sandwich is really tasty, they absolutely shove it full of tuna. Turkey Flatbread has excellent flavors, i think the marinate their tomatoes in olive oil and herbs and it's amazing. Viet salad rolls mostly noodles. Was disappointed not to see more of the veggies and a little more than the strip of chicken in there. Peanut sauce is phenomenal though. Deviled eggs are great! Pineapple cheese danish isn't very good. Has a strange taste and texture. Very much not a fan. Salted caramel gelato is SO tasty. Omg wish I had gotten a bowl of that instead!

Farmer in the Dell is super cute! Unfortunately I was in a rush and couldn't get food but everything looked and smelled amazing. I got a large ice late for $4 and was really happy with the price. Hopefully I'll go back soon and try some of the bakery items - there was a lot to choose from and they all looked so good.

Now Blondie have done a great job updating and improving the restaurant, dining areas, and turned the location into a welcoming BBQ restaurant. I have been wanting to stop in to try as I eat at all the bbq spots . I order ala carte a sausage, the smoked wings, small order of ribs, a side of shells and cheese. The ribs were very good and meaty and fall ofc the bone tender. The wings had a nice smoke flavor and heavy dry rub seasoning. found the dry rub a bit too much for me and wax more Texan or Kansas city style vs Carolina or Georgia style . A bit dry but with a dip in bbq sauce, they were good. The sausage was dry and expected more juice dripping out . The shells and cheese was very good with the shells cooked perfect, cheese and the toast crunch season on top was a plus. They offer free cold water which is courteous as I want in mood lunchtime for a Texas state beer. The girl at the counter taking my order was especially helpful guiding me how to order and checked on me twice to see how all was after I was served. I think this is a nice addition to the area and a real deal barbecue spot smoking the meat real deal. I'd like to see more options or specials ...burnt ends , a corn on cob summer option, cucumber salad or other sides, a honey biscuit or real deal cornbread with smoked corn kernels in the mix, A smoke biscuit and grilled shrimp tacos ? A 1/2 pound burger or smoked chicken sandwich... I figure the owner will keep figuring out what's popular as location draws alot of working types wanting a reasonable take out lunch to eat on the run in their truck and dinner crowds move local families in Foxboro for bbq feast. I'll stop in again to try the brisket or other items . Good to see a new restaurant there succeeding .

Promising new(ish) barbecue joint in the former Red Wing Diner location. Impressive collection of…read moreoffset smokers on the side of the building, plus a decorative one out front. Everything is à la carte in the ordering is a bit confusing: your first order is over-the-counter, but additional items may be ordered through a server. -- Ribs: Full spareribs with the tips intact and a nice taper at the edges. Creative presentation as individual bones stacked up, with lime wedges and herbs. Very coarse Texas style rub that had bold, captivating peppery flavor, but a little ashy from either a long hold or a reheat. Cross sections dry, though moist inside. Tender and somewhat smoky. Very good, but these would be killer if fresh. -- Wings: Smoked and fried, served naked by design, with sauces on the side. A little Shake-and-Bake-like, not that moist, and not that flavorful. Like a poor man's Rusty Can wings. -- Brisket: This seemed relatively fresh, but cookled quickly. Quality varied greatly depending on which slice you took and where you bit. Some bites perfect. Some bites dry. All had impactful flavor from both rub and smoke. Good bark, good tenderness and wobble, at least on the parts from the point. -- Pulled Pork: Molded into a gray and depressing softball, but it felt and tasted better than it looked. Most of it luscious and moist, though borderline mushy and could use some firmer or barkier pieces for contrast. Flavor subtle. Not that warm. -- Sausage: This house-made link gushed juices on contact and had screaming flavor and great texture (soft, hinting at pebbly, but still intact), but barely room temperature. Would've been elite if warmer. -- Coleslaw: Decent. Crisp, lightly dressed, neither sweet nor tart. Fairly tame. -- Cornbread: Fantastic coarse texture and brown butter flavor, but a little on the stiff side. Molasses butter on the side was like a frosting and it worked fabulously. I'd pay to know when I can have a hot one. -- Sauces: They've got a dark brown barbecue and a red tangy one. Both are pretty good, but better when mixed. -- Service: Mostly young kids doing the order taking and food running, and all were very nice. Overall, I'd say the meal was good for sure, but this place has so much potential to be great. If a few things were a little warmer or a little fresher, they'd be among the top handful in New England. Even as-is, they're not too far off.
