Went on a weekday morning so there were only 2 people seated inside. Staff seems to take Covid precautions seriously -- everyone was wearing a mask fully covering their nose. I ordered to-go and got a breakfast sandwich for my husband and the banh-mi for... me. The pastry case was well stocked but I tried not to tempt myself by looking too long. I still ended up ordering a cookie and a 'refresher' drink to go with the sandwiches. They handed me a substantially sized cookie right away and I told them I'd wait outside with my dog (we had just been to the vet.) A few moments later one of the staff brought out my drink. This was SO kind since I told them I could come back in to get it. The sandwiches took a bit longer but I appreciated that they were making them fresh and not throwing together something pre-cooked. The drink was, in fact, refreshing (watermelon cucumber mint with tea) and when I got home the SANDWICH. Omg. I wish the bread had stayed crispier but other than that the smell and flavor was divine. Get the banh-mi. Good sized sandwich. My husband's breakfast sandwich on a biscuit also looked really good. Overall it's a cute place and the people working there are extremely nice, so I'll definitely be back to try other things. read more

I went to yelp To find a farm to table kinda breakfast sandwhich andnthis place delivered. I walked in and Big smiles from the counter and many suggestions followed for my sandwhich. I decided to get the basic bacon egg & cheese and this is on a HOMEMMADE BISCUIT ! I love that. The sandwhich was perfect and bacon crispy and I wanted 10 more. I looked in the cases and saw some great lunch choices and I know I am going to come back and get a 1/2 chicken with all the fixings. I also love plenty of parking and prices are fair. read more

If you want a sandwich from the Farmer in the Dell at lunchtime you have to be prepared to stand in line to place your order, wait -- I've waited over 30 minutes -- and then get in line again to pick up the sandwich. (It's all one line: ordering, pickup, payment.) And woe! if you try to order takeout by phone: Ive gotten through perhaps one time in three: either they don't answer -- or they do "please wait" and then never pick up the phone again. I do like their food (the ham sandwich, especially), but it's not worth putting up with their disorganization. read more

Stopped by today today to give it a try. I should have read the reviews first and went for the chicken bahn. Instead tried the Cubano. As others have mentioned, way over priced for very little meat. Pork is not a filet and for 10 dollars, you expect at least a well balanced meat to bread ratio. The sandwich was thrown off Balance with way too much spicy mustard and little meat. I believe there is pork in the sandwich but all I could taste was the spicy mustard which easily overpowered the other ingredients. It was so much that in taking a bite, mustard squirted out everywhere. On a positive note, bread was nice and toasty and fresh. Maybe if in the area and hungry I will try the chicken or a salad. Once my taste buds come back from the mustard and I get over paying 10 bucks for a 6 dollar sandwich. read more

The name caught my eye - reminded me of that elementary school game and jingle. They have a nice parking lot with plenty of spots and weren't super busy on a Saturday morning. The menu is very diverse. Lots of breakfast and sandwich options plus a ton of drinks. We went with a Vermont turkey sandwich. It was just okay. Really filled with arugula and very little meat. Not super filling for the price but tasty. We ordered a raspberry coffee and were convinced they gave us raspberry tea by mistake due to the taste and the way the cream curdled at the top. They nicely re-made it and while it tasted more like coffee it was pretty disappointing. Not much flavor and watery. We ended up throwing it out having only drunk about 1/4. I'd go back and try the breakfast as those options looked great but it was a bit overpriced for the sandwich and poor coffee quality. read more

Coffee was very good The level of food quality is so much higher than any where else serving breakfast sandwiches that it's simply a no brainer to veer in the direction of "Farmer in the Dell". Once you have had this fare you will no longer be able to set foot in a McDonalds, Dunkin donuts, or Panera Bread again. And I found the cost to be very reasonable. It's counter service, and although I usually prefer sit down waitress service I expect I will be visiting this place regularly. It was my first visit here and was pressed for time so was unable to scrutinize the many deli cases full of of lunch food, but I plan to return soon and write a more thorough review. read more

found this place on a search, bookmarked it based on reviews and it being "gluten free friendly" for some reason. chanced to be out and about on a Monday, where at least 4 breakfast/brunch places i know to go are closed. people don't eat on Mondays anymore?? browsed through a search and saw the bookmark, started heading over after checking it was indeed open. phone/yelp GPS didn't specify which side of the street; passed the place looking the other side, had to loop back. walked in around 11ish, place was nearly empty, then started to fill up as lunch time approached. counter people looked and smiled at us, but left us to gather our high chair and stuff ourselves. settled down and started to look at menu above the counter; guy waited patiently since we were the only ones pending service. finally settled for coffee, couple sandwiches, and few pastry items. and then a grilled cheese off kids menu later on. my pulled pork pretzel bun sandwich was flavorful, except it got really soupy at the bottom, and bun was completely soaked to the brink of disintegration. if it was intended to be enjoyed by fork and knife, my apologies. sister's breakfast-sounding sandwich was good, according to her; i didn't try it but it looked like what she described. the hazelnut(?) croissant also got high marks from this pastry chef - at least got her to pay compliments on it! the other pastries, i found overly sweet, esp the monkey cake. ordered for my kid and didn't really want to feed him any. think he ate at least half that muffin, though. decided to order a grilled cheese for the baby instead. who would have thought kids in this town favor cibatta bread and...some funky non-American (can't recall which at this point) cheese? the crust is too hard/chewy and the smell could be off-putting, especially to naturally picky toddlers. i could have totally eaten that as an adult, but that was not the $6 to spend on a kids menu, imo. in all, the place is nice and cosy, decors are homey and comfy, counter staff were polite. food was great (including the mocha), with a bit room for adjustments...maybe? still a great place to hang some time. p.s. not entirely clear how they consistently come up on result when searching for "gluten-free restaurants" in the area too, as i don't see a single mention in the shop offering accommodations, let alone specifically labeled gf items. didn't inquire as i wasn't with hub who is on the diet. he was invited to come but lucky he didn't. read more
