Best Breakfast for 15 mile radius. When in the area I eat only here for breakfast. Owned and run by the same couple for at least 20 years, this place is consistently the very best in the area . Today was no different , scrambled eggs with jack cheese and a little hot sauce, delicious sausage links, fabulous home fries and coffee. My breakfast partner got a meat lovers omelette in a roll up. I posted a few pics of the meals today . Note bread is served with the meals we ordered , but neither of us has room for the bread so we tell them to not put it in the plate . why waste it. Service is fabulous , she ( co-owner) recognizes us whenever we (or I alone) eat there, even though have not been here in a few months . In Fact , today, after I gave my order she reminded me that I usually have jack cheese melted in to my scrambled eggs , and did I want it today. Well that is amazing service seeing as it's been a few months since came here last time. ( we live several towns away , and eat here if some shopping or business escapade brings us to Norwood.) Food was on the table within 5 minutes of placing the order.. For ambiance , well , this is a real diner car restaurant. Stainless steel exterior and all.. there are not many of these remaining in the country. I think about 10 booths and 10 counter seats. The place seems like a potential Norman Rockwell painting . Alas, Norman is no longer available for this task. I believe it is a historic site building so the , down 2 steps to the bathroom , is allowed but keep in mind if you are not capable of making the trip down the stars. Honestly the only negative I can come up with is in the winter time don't sit near the door. There is no entrance vestibule so the cold can be noticed when the door opens and closes. I suspect that modifying the building may not be allowed to put one in anyway . Bottom line is don't hesitate , this is the best there is . For the next closest breakfast lunch restaurant that is of this quality you have to travel to the Wrentham - Franklin line on route 140 . I don't think we are allowed to mention other locations . But seriously , I have eaten at nearly every breakfast place there is and those 2 places are the only places to eat breakfast within a 15 mile radius. read more

If you find yourself lost and rolling around in Norwood, Mass.. stop at this little hole in the wall diner. I suggest eating outside as the weather is usually beautiful. It's right across the street from a war museum. But careful, you'll miss it if you blink. My husband and I both had the eggs and bacon with home fries-he had hash browns. My home fries were huge chunky seasoned potatoes, his were fried on the outside as expected of hash browns, mushy on the inside. Not so appetizing. The menu is very simple. While our initial waitress didn't give us the time of day, the young lady who brought our plates was a delight. She never missed a refill of water or coffee. I visited Town Square Diner for the first time yesterday and I highly recommend it. The Owner Inesi and her husband Vasil are very friendly and welcoming. I had a veggie omelette with fried potatoes and it was delicious! Very generous portion and reasonably priced. The menu has a good variety of items. The atmosphere is very friendly, the place is very clean and it has a nice old school diner feel. There are a lot of locals who go there daily. I highly recommend trying it out. Classic old-school diner, great charm and fun - plus the food is solid diner fare, brekkie all-day (well, till 2pm anyway). I had their "Irish" style eggs Benedict which replaced the back bacon with corned beef hash and it was filling and tasty. My daughter had a 2-egg combo with sausages, hash browns, and toast. Great diner in a vintage "car." Formica tables, some americana behind the diner bar. Great vibes. I also love the pretty tile trim detail along the wall. It can be quite packed when it's busy, but the servers get people in and out. The most recent time we were here is was a bit slow so we got to sit in a booth. We each got a one egg breakfast and split a beautiful waffle. The prices are good and the food is solid diner fair. They don't skimp on the butter on the bread. We've gotten some tasty specials here in the past as well. They are cash only, so hit up one of the atms in the shaws plaza down the street first. Also there is a public lot next to the diner. Quaint little diner in Norwood center. Nothing fancy but inviting. Friendly staff (although a little unaware at times). Saturday breakfast with the fam. Seated right away. Easy menu. Prices are amazing so definitely a bang for your buck. They have a lot of size options for the egg meals they do (1 egg, 2 eggs, 3 etc) which is nice for the not so hungry patron. What surprised me was that they had those number options for Benedict's too. Simple menu but still more than just the normal diner breakfast. And you can add gyro to most meals which is fun. Gonna try that next. Multiple Specials daily which keeps it fun. Benedict was simple but well made. Simple sauce, paprika was a little heavily placed in a very small concentrated area. Eggs were poached the way I like them, less running than normal places but still yolky (not sure if that was intentional or not but it was appreciated!) Not much for side options and you only get one (so no toast or anything gratis) but for the very great price I have no complaints. Meal was good, not phenomenal but again the price makes the meal taste better! The breakfast deal of eggs, pancakes, meat and homefries choice is the best and biggest deal for your money. My family enjoyed theirs a lot. Pancakes were good. Hash browns were those chopped potatoes and not frozen McDonald's patty style so THAT WAS GREAT. Definitely try this spot out. Open later on Fri with lots of seafood specials. Sometimes I enjoy the nostalgic look and feel of the old diners that are still around. Stopped in Quick over the weekend hoping to have a good diner experience. Resturant was empty maybe six people total in the restaurant. My order took over 10 minutes, two eggs toast, hashbrowns that's it. Food was OK but not great. The saddest thing is no one in the place was smiling. No One. there were five people working and well... It's just sad. I was surprised to see reviews on google showing 4.5 stars. No way. At best I give it maybe two stars. It was an average diner breakfast. The Omelet was good. I got one the New England Omelet, which was on the specials board. The home fries were a bit crunchy for my liking which is what dropped the rating. I also got a side of Hollandaise Sauce which was much runnier than your typical Hollandaise. We stumbled on to this place as we were driving by and had come from being up at 3 am for a flight. This place looked small and cozy and it is. Wasn't sure if the waitress was going to be friendly but she warmed right up! I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on toast: the waitress recommend I use raisin bread instead of normal wheat or white. I also ordered a blueberry pancake on the side. I wish I had taken pics because that pancake was beautiful and maybe one of the best blueberry pancakes I've had. The sandwich using raisin bread was awesome as well and that may be my new go to bread when having a breakfast sandwich. My husband ordered what he thought was a simple eggs and meat breakfast. It came out loaded down with sausage and breakfast potatoes. He loved it! If we were locals this would be our go to breakfast place. Tip: they are cash only so be prepared. Very rarely have I had a dinning experience that was as bad as this one. The meal was so poor I couldn't finish it. I sat at the counter and immediately noticed a rotten smell. I should have left right then and there. But foolishly, I stayed and ordered, upon the waitresses' recommendation, the steak and cheese omelet with my choice of side. The food unfortunately matched up to the stench of the place. The omelet was so bad that I couldn't finish it. The beans that I ordered with the meal looked so unappetizing that I replaced them with a fruit cup. When the fruit cup came, one taste was all I could take. Sour. While there, I noticed several things that about this place that were unsanitary. A dirty empty coffee pot stood in full view of customers. Under the coffee bean station was a partially wet used towel. There was an almost empty pot of coffee brewing that wasn't replaced the whole time I was there. Who knows how long it had been sitting there. Visible through a small window was the grill was one of the short-order cooks. I swear I saw her, wipe her nose, and use that same rag to wipe the grill. That's gross! I understand the idea of a "greasy spoon" dinner, but that doesn't mean that the conditions should be unsanitary. The food still has to be edible. My understanding is that this restaurant is a Norwood establishment that is under new ownership and over the past few years, the quality has gone way down as a result. My hope is that this review inspires new owners to get it together and improve the quality of the restaurant. I don't think it will though as the staff seemed blind to the problems. For example there was resistance to offering me a replacement to the baked beans, and no explanation for the stench of the restaurant. When I asked about it, the waitress inexplicably told me that there was no stench and that the restaurant, "smelled like food". Rotting food maybe. One last thing, I did ask the waitress about the smell in the restaurant. She said she didn't smell anything and that it "smelled like food". Rotting food maybe. read more

Looked promising from the outside, and they have a great, full diner menu. Ordered an omelet with peppers, onions, and tomatoes (if you know me, you're already saying "duh, Ellen."). The cook brought the omelet out, and then he stood at the diner counter and watched me eat. It made me feel like it was poisoned and he was seeing if I would really go for it. Super creepy. On the flip side, then what was I supposed to do? Not eat it? I wish: the thing was filled with uncooked vegetables. More than once I got an absolute mouthful of onion (my coworkers were none too pleased with me that day. Sorry, guys). It's not like it was cheap: I still think it cost me about $14 including my coffee. It would have been sooo much better if the veggies were sauteed, and then the egg was poured on top. I would definitely order it again, but the hollandaise sauce has to on the side, they lay it on thick. I would have given them 4 stars but the coffee was weak and I was there at 7, so I needed some heavy mud. The waitress must have a hidden camera stationed over our table because just as I thought I needed more coffee, cream, the check, a tissue she was there. This is an original diner with all it's quirky charm; red booths with very little cushion, yellow and black tiles like at my grammy's house, a wall dedicated to Elvis. They have the normal diner hours 6-2pm, but in the fall they have Friday night dinner. The food was okay but much smaller portions but it is the attitude of the new owners that threw me off. You couldn't get a second cup of coffee without yelling at the waitress to stop for a minute and she forgot the side orders and then acted as if it was our fault. I didn't get that one since she wrote it down on the check when we placed our order. Also, know what you want within 10 seconds of sitting down as that is how fast you'll be asked what you want. I have been coming to this place for years. And I am also black. I have bought in friends, and family, and have never been uncomfortable or felt I was treated differently than any other race. I am the type of person who will let you know 100% truth. Now if another black person came in here and it took a while, I honestly think they were super busy and perhaps you should give them another try. In my opinion the owner and staff are not racist. As always, we enjoyed having our breakfast at this great little diner in Norwood, I had my usual bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel with a side of their yummy hash browns. My husband opted for one of his favorites, the Kielbasi Omelette. He usually gets the special with 2 pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns. The pancakes are so wonderful here and they do some great add ins like chocolate chips, and something I'm looking forward to trying, Oreos! They serve the best coffee and the service is always outstanding. The prices are very reasonable. If you don't see it on the menu, check out the special board or ask. My husband and I ordered the eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and the super breakfast ( 2 eggs, 2 bacon and two pancakes). The eggs Benedict were simple but done very well. The eggs were fluffy, the sauce was the right proportion, the ham was lean and the English muffin was the perfect size. The hashbrowns, shredded potatoes, were salty but not too much. The super breakfast was basic as well. It seemed like it all could have been pre-made but it was all tasty. The bacon was done well, a good size and not too burnt. It's a typical roadside diner, and even at 10:30am, there were a handful of folks enjoying a meal. This use to be a great place but when they got new owners last year (@ summer 2008) it went down hill. The previous bunch of waitstaff were really friendly and it had a real diner feel to it. The new people are complete opposite -- unfriendly and act like they're doing you a favor. I don't recommend this place at all. It's too bad since we use to go here almost every weekend. If there is one thing I hate, it is racism or discrimination or prejudice. Here I am sitting with my cousin and just because we are "black", it took them 10 minutes to attend us and 25 minutes to get me some dry omelette and some blueberry pancakes with the blueberries showing more than the pancakes.
