This review is really specific to my interactions with Chris Dritz. I guess it is about CMS as a…read morewhole because I have also worked with members of Chris's team, and they are great. I first started working with Chris in late 2013 or early 2014. A friend put me in contact with him directly because no one else could help me get into a new house while keeping and renting out the condo I had as the market was not good to sell it. Chris worked his magic and found a reasonable and fiscally responsible way to help me with getting into a house while maintaining my condo. In the end, he helped me so that I felt secure in my leftover savings that if I did not have have a renter for a few months that I would be secure in paying for all expenses of both properties. A couple years later, he helped me refi my house so that I could save money and get some money out of it to pursue starting my family. Just recently he helped me again get into what I hope is my forever home. I am a high maintenance kind of person who looks over all the paperwork and has lots of questions. Chris always answers my questions quickly and clearly. If something doesn't work for me, he will try to see what other options there are to make it work. He is also very realistic. He does not overpromise and often won't give information until he has the facts because he does not want to set up unrealistic expectations. He helped my sister and her husband when Rocket Mortgage screwed them over (DO NOT USE ROCKET MORTGAGE!). He will tell you things you may not want to hear, but they will always be in your best interest. I will refer people directly to Chris and continue to use him for all my home needs. Not being able to use Chris would be a deal breaker for me with regard to any aspects of home buying or refing.

I doubted we could get a loan, let alone a fairly substantial loan for our dream home by the beach in Ventura. I wrote Marty Smith and the team at CMS and within hours we were pre-qualified and on the path to home ownership! Because of our unique financial situation not every lender was willing to work with us in the tightened regulatory market, but Marty and the CMS loan officers fought and scratched and kicked to make sure we would get our loan. And while they worked for the best deal possible, the kind and patient staff reassured us at each step of the way like they were serving a family member. I can't speak highly enough of the CMS team. If Marty Smith prequalifies you and you stick with CMS you will get your loan at the best possible terms. So glad we acted while interest rates are low! THANK YOU CMS!!!

To begin my review i will start by saying that i have a lot of experience in the lending business…read moreboth traditional and private. Mike was the individual that i worked with from start to finish. He met me at the property on the 1st day and looked over the project with knowledge and experience that i later learned he has. We discussed the numbers and came to a tentative agreement, he engaged his escrow officer and we signed a preliminary deal. Once the escrow officer completed the due diligence we reviewed the deal, signed the closing statement, Mike transferred the money to escrow and the deal was closed. In my life this is the 1st time i have been successful with closing a loan deal in 5 days. Mike gets my vote of confidence and i would recommend his company to anyone that may need a quick and short term loan, someone that understand the lending system and is familiar with the current rates and trends. Five star treatment!!!!

After going back and forth, shuffling documents for almost ninety days they denied me for a loan against a property that I own free and clear. After being denied, the local bank rep apologized and said "I know someone who may be able to help you" and gave me Jim's number. Called Jim the next morning, after a short conversation he said "I can probably help you" and connected me with a member of his team who very efficiently worked with me in gathering the needed information. Two days later Jim called and said that he could make it happen, discussed rates and started the process. Received a message the next day, Jim had been able to negotiate a better rate! The young lady who worked with me was amazing, knows what the underwriters want to see and finessed the language in documents accordingly. Was able to work with my insurance company to supply the required information needed by the underwriters without me needing to get a new policy which would have cost thousands more per year. Three weeks later the loan was finalized. As they say "The Stork Delivers!"

They all said that it would be too difficult - or impossible - to get the loan I needed with my current financial picture. Ali had a different tune. He said, "don't worry, I am going to make it happen - you will get your loan and I will close it for you." The rest is history, I finally have the ideal home and terms thanks to Ali and his persistence. I will definitely use him and Provident lending again to refinance once the rates come down, and for future purchases and investments. Thank you Ali! In addition, Alicia Crosby was such a fast loan processor! Within minutes of any question or concern I had, she would get back and with good news / information. When it comes down to the final moments of closing escrow, she did not skip a beat to make sure everything got processed on time and I understood all of the steps along the way. I am grateful for her patience while I followed up every day, sometimes multiple times a day, to check the status of the loan proceedings.
