* I've had Geico Auto Insurance for 21 years now, & in that time they've never paid an accident…read moreclaim in my behalf. * But 3 weeks ago I accidentally scratched a parked car at the grocery store & waited for the owner to return from shopping to alert them. * It was a tiny rear bumper scratch & barely perceptible unless you were specifically trying to find it. * Anyway today I received my Geico bill & it basically doubled from $53 monthly to $99.90 per month. * I later spoke to the Geico representative & he was impatient with no explanation or valid reason for the major increase. * I'm a little taken back that after 21 years of paying ever-increasing premiums to Geico (with no accidents), that they doubled my monthly payments the first time I actually used their insurance service, for a minor scratch. * Needless to say I did not get a comfortable, confident or warm & fuzzy feeling from the stern customer service handling of this issue.
