The bartender handed me something called the "Farmhand's Mule," and I swear I could taste the orchard, the field, and maybe a little bit of sin all in one sip. Smooth, tangy, and just enough kick to make an old man like me feel alive again. And don't even get me started on the staff. Every one of them had a smile brighter than a Michigan sunrise. Now, I'm 86 -- I creak when I stand and wheeze when I sit -- but those waitresses were flirting with me like I was a young buck back in '58! I don't know if it was the bourbon talking or just their good manners, but they sure made me feel like I still had a little spark left in me. By the end of the night, I was leaning back in my chair, patting my belly, and thinking -- maybe being this close to the border isn't so bad after all. Food was great, shrimp stir fry was delicious , salad was cool to the touch and the portobello mushrooms were delightfully tasty. They were out of Crab Rangoon's which was a bummer. Service was very good our waitress was bubbly and a good sense of humor. This was only the second time we ate there and both times were good for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. read more

Heard this restaurant was under new ownership and thought we would give it a try. It's got the same crazy atmosphere of oddities that will keep you entertained while you wait for your food. The bar still looks like an extended version of your grandma's kitchen, but as long as you know this going in its fun. There were six of us and we went on the burger special night. They were pretty good and priced reasonable. Looking forward to seeing what new things are in store for this place as the new owners settle in. read more

First time visiting on a Friday night. Place was packed but they only had two individuals working both the bar and the tables which made service very slow. Got a burger with onion rings. The onion rings were $3 extra, received 5 small rings. The burger was very dry. The Pepsi was flat. Not a good experience at all, can't recommend. read more

Had dinner there tonight for the first time in several years and it was amazing. Our server was super sweet, attentive and the food tasted so fresh! Under new management and the place is amazing! The atmosphere is historical and very unique. All the wait staff was friendly and you could tell they wanted to work! Quaint restaurant with lots of memorabilia. Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and we were the only ones there. Odd. Food was average. My request to add chicken to a quesadilla was evidently a new idea. Companion's wet burrito was great, my meal a bit scant. Being the only ones there you would think service would be great but the waitress kept disappearing. We had to get up and find her for our bill. Meanwhile being the only two in the restaurant was getting a bit creepy. read more
