This place is a hidden gem. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The pancakes came with real butter and real maple syrup. I asked for extra crisp bacon and the cook got it RIGHT. Sharon was running her tail off to serve everyone; my coffee cup never went empty. read more

We went to Arcade last Sunday for the fall foliage tour on the Arcade & Attica Railroad. Not sure of where we were headed we allowed for plenty of time to have lunch before the tour. There were a couple of choices, but the Farmhouse Cafe was closest to the train station. We were rewarded for being practical. A couple of us love taking photos of great looking dishes and fun new eateries, but we were so bowled over by the menu and the service and the size of servings and the beautiful meals that we forgot. Among us, we had an omelet, a Rachel sandwich, loaded fries, and chicken and rice soup. Forty minutes later by the time anyone thought of photos, our plates were empty. What a gem. A very tiny diner in Arcade. Food was good and so were the prices. Service was good too.

We brought our grandsons here for a Saturday lunch while out running errands. What can you say about chicken fingers that hasn't already been said. The kids meal comes with smiley face potato puffs. The homemade pies looked fantastic! Extra deep dish with tender crusts! Very tempting! I was totally disappointed with my LA Cinnamon Toast with a sweet drizzle (which was only a scant splash of maple syrup, not frosting glaze). The age of this over priced bread was indeterminate but Ive had saltines that had a better chew. I'm hesitant to recommend this place due to the quality of the food preparation. Came for breakfast, my food didn't taste right. Politely asked the waitress to exchange and she refused. Did not eat the food or take it. She was very rude and not accommodating. She brought me the same meal to go without being asked, while this was a nice gesture I would have preferred ordering something different as I am not going to eat that meal. The rest of the people I was with enjoyed their food, eggs were slightly overcooked but not terrible. read more

This is such a cozy diner. The food is yummy, and if you come during the winter months the seats are HEATED! We had bfast - the hash and omelettes were good, and they had hashbrown patties as a side (fried potatoes forever!) Also, the pies and bread/toast are all homemade locally (and it is delicious - highly recommend!) Looking forward to coming back for their fish fries. read more

the farm house cafe has wholesome home cooked food in a great location. I have dinned here many times and leave satisfied every time. the fish fry is a must!! my husband loves the burgers (all of them are good). it's a great environment for my toddler as well. he is always welcomed with a smile. over all I would recommend stopping as often as you can you won't be disappointed. read more

The prices are good and the serving sizes are good. Our prime ribs were way overdone, the toasted Weck bun was almost burnt, the French fries were underdone. The salad had huge pieces of lettuce and were hard to cut because of the plate size but it was not bagged lettuce so that was a plus. I really think it was just an off night as we have eaten here before and things were much better so we will give it another try because of that. The service was good. It is a small place so limited seating. You can get breakfast all day here which is nice. - we did mention to the waitress and she did say it was not their usual cook. read more
