Even though the ski resorts bring a lot of tourists this a locals spot that maintained a good crowd throughout the evening. Even with a crowd we were seated immediately and our waitress was great. We were there for their special Friday Fish Fry. The menu had the standard homestyle cuisine and they offerred several other specials. I went with the fish special and my wife chose the chicken parm. The fish was breaded, moist and delicous. The chicken parm dish was a lot of food but also really tasty. We left really full and our bill was under $40 for the two of us. It doesn't look like much but we really enjoyed the evening.

I got the burrito which came topped with salsa (ranchero) and cheddar cheese plus a side of shredded hash browns. The hash browns were half crispy and half limp but still quite tasty. The burrito itself was a good size though not enormous. While nothing mind blowing, especially for the $19 price tag, it was a solid meal overall. One of my friends got the lobster eggs benedict special and said it was life-changing. It was $24 and came with a massive hunk of lobster meat. For a $3 charge over the standard benedict, that's a steal and smartly priced for a good heaping of lobster. Getting the food out seemed to take a little bit of time, but the server was good about checking in on us throughout and the other staff we spoke to were also very friendly. Cheese Steaks are made with thier shaved prime rib and is incredible, great portions of beef, onions and mushrooms. The Chicken Parm: was much bigger and tastier than I thought. My parents could've split one order, however, they now have a second full meal at home- the noodles from the pasta are homemade. The Daily Specials are always incredible and ever changing. Chef has it going on, and is building a helluva reputation for his business. To top it all off, they have a fantastic beer selection that pairs brilliantly with the menu. Also, they have an INCREDIBLE Bourbon menu as well. Colden Country Inn is just outstanding across the board. Sadly she never gave us her name, I finally got it when she set the check down. I had the double cheeseburger and lord it was good. My only concern was the side. I asked for the Caesar salad and when it sat down, it was a kale Caesar salad. I don't eat kale but our server took care of it. The restaurant has a great vibe and very friendly. The tables were close but far enough that you could hear murmurs of conversations, but nit what was actually being said.
