Further, the digital access points offer a button to immediately obtain assistance from the employee at the front desk of the facility. You're really never alone except after normal business hours. The facility offers various sized storage areas for which the pricing will vary. We never experienced any immediate issues or problems. The employee at the front desk was always helpful, friendly and offered accessories for purchase such as locks for the security gate of your storage area. You can be assured that the multiple digital access points increases the confidence level against non-authorized entry. When entering our storage areas, we frequently encountered other customers who cheerfully assisted us in helping to to move items and load our vehicle. My only recommendation (that would not change my rating) to the facility owner/management is to properly replace or properly repair the hand trucks. Of the three made available within the storage area where my rented storage room was located, only one properly functioned. The other two were broken in that the handles or bars to pull the hand trucks kelp "popping out" of the carts. This was very annoying when pulling/pushing them without a load but especially aggravating when pulling/pushing a loaded hand truck and losing control of the hand trucks. One hand truck clearly showed a short-cut attempt to temporarily fix it by using duct tape to secure it. This attempt to short term fix it reflects an apparent cost-saving attempt my the owner/management rather than to pursue the proper method and simply replace it. Lastly, if a potential customer is considering a long term lease, please occasionally check your billing statements as rental price increases will occur to your account - acceptable and understandable.

Also the office is locked and empty during business hours so even if you do go in, you can't and they don't answer the phone, so you have to leave a message and they call you back, every time. the chat function is an easy out for them, they just say that they think they lost you and disconnect.

We had no idea that corporate policy does not allow cars parked that don't pay rent (corporate greed at its finest). Today when my husband tried to get his car and leave his pickup, Abe, instead of explaining corporate policy, cursed at my husband about parking there and threw his clipboard at him. When my husband cursed back, Abe called the police, who forced my husband to leave, without his car! Abe proceeded to say that his storage lease was terminated and emailed him (I HAVE the emails) to say his gate code was deleted - inevitably holding his car hostage. THIS IS CAR THEFT!!! We originally intended to use the Mount Sinai location, because it was closer, but we decided on the Miller Place location instead because: 1. They had better prices. 2. The staff was friendlier. And, 3. The Miller Place location was a lot cleaner. Make sure you measure the locker you intend to rent before booking it. The locker sizes advertised aren't exact, so make sure your things will fit. I originally thought we could rent a smaller unit but it just didn't work out. Our rent was raised twice during our term, maybe 25% overall. Some people get mad about this. But, they explain it to you when you sign up and you always get notice. It is a business. It makes sense and I always felt the rent increases were fair. The facility is kept very clean. That was most important to me, no mildew smells or water problems. There were times when we would go months without checking on our things. Everything was always exactly how we left it. This facility is very safe. We finished emptying our locker yesterday. Yay!
