He worked his ass off, communicated well, and did everything he possibly could to help us. I honestly have nothing bad to say about him. Unfortunately, Liberty completely set him up to fail. We paid around $13,500 for a full-service move from New York to Nashville that included packing and unpacking. On delivery day, Liberty in Nashville was sent Carlos a day early without even telling us, and they sent him by himself. The only person there helping him was his wife, who wasn't even an employee of the company. What should have been a relatively easy unload into our new house with a full crew and a complete unpack turned into a 13 1/2-hour day. My wife and I had to drop everything and spend the entire day carrying boxes, moving furniture, and helping unload just to keep things moving. By the time Carlos and his wife finally left late that night, the house still wasn't completely unpacked. That's not on them--they worked incredibly hard. They were just never given the manpower to do the job we paid for. They had a 13.5+ hour day at our house and had to drive 4 hours to load a move 2x our size in KY the next mornign early. I can only hope they gave him help there. After the move, I spent weeks trying to work things out directly with Liberty. Amy, our move coordinator, was always nice, but almost every conversation ended with, "I need supervisor approval," and nothing ever really moved forward. Andrew, who booked our move, was fantastic during the sales process, but once the problems started, he became completely unresponsive. I gave Liberty every opportunity to make this right before taking the next step. Unfortunately, we couldn't reach a fair resolution, and I ended up having to file a charge dispute with American Express. I was simply asking for a small refund back to compensate and make it right and they couldnt even do that. This review isn't about Carlos. If anything, I feel bad for him because he was put in an impossible position and did the best he could. My issue is with Liberty's management, their planning, and the way they handled everything after the move. When you pay over $13,000 for a full-service move, you shouldn't be spending 13 1/2 hours unloading your own truck and then fighting for weeks afterward just to get the company to take responsibility on a small scale. I realistically should have demanded more than the measly 15% i asked for. I hope they figure it out because they have good people working there. They just need to do a much better job supporting them and standing behind the service they're selling.

I want to post an update to my prior review…read more As bad as the moving experience was, Piece of Cake Movers completely changed my view when it came time to address the issues I raised afterward. Emily handled my concerns with professionalism, fairness, and real diligence. She could not have been nicer. She listened, took the issues seriously, and worked through them in a way that felt fair and respectful. My original concerns about the move itself remain what they were. But I also recognize that any business of this size can occasionally have a bad crew or a bad experience in the field. What matters is how the company responds when that happens. Here, the response after the move was excellent. Credit is due where credit is due: the post-move customer service, especially from Emily, was outstanding. For that reason, I am giving the company 5 stars for how it handled the aftermath and resolved the issues. I will use them the next time I move. Emily was that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you, Emily.

I rarely write bad reviews (feel free to check out my others reviews, which are all positive)…read more However, I cannot not warn others in this instance. I had my purse with $980 in the zippered compartment in one of our bathrooms where we were storing the stuff we didn't want moved. The movers were told this on multiple instances. The movers had zero reason to be in that room and did not ask permission to enter it. Had they done so we would have asked them to use the other bathroom. I know the movers were in there because the toilet seat was up and there was urine in the toilet when I went in. I am female and my fiancé is completely blind and has to sit to pee and doesn't put up the seat. When I went to tip the movers, the cash was gone from my purse. No one besides myself, my fiancé and the movers were inside the apartment since I'd taken out the cash the previous evening. I informed the company immediately. They did nothing about it, claiming they questioned the crew who denied it. As if they'd confess to stealing about a grande. Please learn from my mistake and either avoid this company. Or at least keep your cash on your person and lock any doors the crew should not be entering. Personally this is the last time I will be using them as trust should be a priority particularly with a company you are handing your belonging. In case it helps, the head of the crew was named Alik (that spelling may be incorrect) and the license plate number on the truck was 79759NG.

Summary: + good price…read more+ fast and overall fine service + overall nice workers - poor communication - some unprofessionalism - some damages I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. If you're reading reviews because you're planning a move and trying to make the best decision possible, I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!

If I could give zero or negative stars I would have. For the love of god DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more They were recommended by serv pro who is doing the rehab work on my house. I was told that "we use them all the time and they're great." I didn't want it to be on the driveway for fear of damaging since they will be sliding it off and they only have a huge truck to deliver it on. 16,000 lbs will definitely make an indent on a on a brand new driveway. So today is the day when the work starts. Units 2 go said they could be here no earlier than Tuesday between 11-4. At 10am the serv pro representative calls and receives an estimate that they will be there around 2pm. 4pm rolls around no one has come. We have all the stuff for the storage unit out on the driveway waiting for this company to come. I call the guy Tom and he said we are getting the unit from riverhead and then will be out to you. They hadn't even picked up the unit yet to deliver it. They FINALLY get to my house at 5:30pm and that's where the real fun starts. The driver comes over and asks where we want it. I tell him we are planning to put it on they lawn (common practice for people who don't want it on their driveway). I tell him where our cesspool is (it can't go over that for fear of collapsing it) and show him a space that is plenty big enough for it. He gets a bit snippy and asks why it's not going on the driveway. He then says he's not sure about the spot on the grass cause he's afraid of getting stuck. I tell him it's mostly tree roots in that area and it should be fine, but if he tries and doesn't feel comfortable maybe we can figure something else out. His response is that he simply walks away without saying anything to me and I get very frustrated. I go inside to see the amazing crew that was doing the demolition on the house to ask one of them to talk to him as I'm annoyed and he seems to not be responding well to me. I have gotten attitudes like this before because I'm a woman, and I wasn't willing to put up with it after an already long day. One gentleman goes over and reports back that he is calling his boss. The next thing I see is this guy turning the truck around. The new direction he was facing matches my suggestion about how he should back into the area. The crew and I thought that he was getting ready to try so they start moving their vans out of the way, but HE JUST KEEPS DRIVING!!! Leaving us with a driveway full of stuff and NEVER SAYING ANYTHING TO US. I've driven large vehicles and have trailered a number of large trailers before and this was not a difficult situation. Apparently he is not only a misogynist, but a terrible driver as well. I called Tom, the worthless guy that answers the phone. If he's the owner, he is one gem I hope I never encounter again. He said his driver didn't want to do it and that he didn't care that I was left stranded in the dark at 6pm when the legitimate businesses that I could have called were already closed. What an absolute piece of garbage. If he had even just gotten there at the timeframe he indicated to both me and the rep from servpro, I would not be this furious. But I am so disgusted with the completely incompetent staff, the awful customer service, and the unacceptable service that they provided even before the terrible driver drove off. I called 1-800-pack-rat and it was a seamless delivery. They even have better equipment AND provide a guarantee that they won't damage the driveway. They cared about the experience, were MUCH more professional, AND came through in LESS THAN 14 hours with the delivery! AMAZING! PLEASE do yourself a favor and STAY FAR AWAY from this terrible company!
