Cool spot. Not your average bar food... this one is better! I had their reef and beef burrito and let me tell you! It didn't disappoint! You can definitely taste all the ingredients in every bite! Will def come back

That's supposed to be chicken wings extra crispy. They were left a note that if it wasn't bone in chicken wings, cancel the order.

They don't show wings on their menu, except for boneless .... Which is basically chicken tenders ... I will never order from them again disgusting. Normally their food is good. I had to pay for food that I did not order and they just don't give a shit

Nah - the boys just ate that. Chinese or Asian fusion? We just had that the other day. Diner? Nah. My daughter remembered Post Office Cafe and we went. It was very loud in the front and we almost walked out but figured we'd give it a try. They seated us way in the back (I had no idea this place was so huge!) where it was quieter. I ordered a chicken salad of some kind with avocado and salad. My son ordered the mac and cheese - it was the highlight of dinner! Absolutely delicious. His friend got the Thai calamari which was decent until he got to the bottom. It was soaked in seasoning and too sweet. My daughter got the buttered pasta - children's portion. I'll let the photo speak for itself. It was drenched in butter. On the bright side - service was great, most of the meals were excellent, waffle fries on point. I mentioned the pasta and showed our server the pool of butter. He took it off our bill without even asking. So ... 4 stars - 5 stars for local business service and just lost the one star for the less than stellar meal and app. Will probably be back!

The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out. Perhaps I will come here strictly for the drinks next time.

Hospitality: -- the friendly, generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or…read morestrangers, creating a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment, making others feel valued and at home. This brings us to The James, managed by Joe Giannino under the fat-cat "Standard Hospitality Group," owned by Andrew Affa & Steve Squirtiro. It's hard owning a business and keeping it profitable but not when it's an almost algorithmic formula driven money extraction system so commonly found today. It's more difficult dining out in the world today when it feels like hospitality is vacating. Vining more about high-revenue than humanity. By very definition, I wouldn't call a good portion of the hospitality industry hospitality at all, and I certainly wouldn't say the James offers any. What I love about food is what it does for the soul, & what I've always loved about providing and caring for people is the sense of community; connection during good times and difficult ones alike; That's hospitality to me. Breaking bread is one of the most fundamental human gestures of generosity and true wealth. When you have it, you share it not squander it, not hoard it or treat it like it's something to take from others and line your pockets with. That's why this experience disappointed me so much, because I believe with the myriad of options, we must be far more selective and far more supportive of local and smaller family run establishments. Today, for a table they would still fill and never notice, I tried to cancel a reservation out of respect -- respect for the staff, for other guests, and for my damn self. Being charged a cancellation fee when a mom is sick on Mothers Day, is not hospitality, it is not empathy. It is greed disguised as brand experience self worth. I have supported the Arlo from this same restaurant group in the past and probably would have happily returned too, based on the menu alone, but coldhearted, rigid policies like this change how a place feels. There are many family-run restaurants that understand flexibility and empathy. That kind of environment matters to me, and this experience will forever make me decide to support those places instead. I've recently learned to name positive outcomes when something negative arises, so I believe this time, it's great that it only cost me fifty bucks to never give this group another dime. Typical corporate hospitality is more what the James can offer. These types of COMPANIES feed themselves, not the community.

My girlfriend really liked the turkey burger option and the waffle sweet potato fries - but she was not a fan of the marshmallow dipping sauce and stuck to bbq. But that is a me problem not them. We always order the wings (top 5 on the entire island) and the Gouda fries are unparalleled! My husband ordered the gyro. Bold move ordering a cultural dish from non Greeks. He said it was really good! I like that it came on a round instead of a pocket. It gave a quesadillas feel. His only suggestion was to put the siracha on the side since that's not a traditional gyro ingredient. On another bold move, I ordered the Ramen and added braised short ribs. Wow!! I don't know who they have cooking in the back making these authentic meals but this was some of the best Ramen I've ever had. The flavors were so good and the eggs was cooked to perfection (not too runny but not over cooked). Our waitress was very nice as well. It was that good. The wedding ceremony took place outside, where rows of chairs were set up and we all had gorgeous waterfront views. After the ceremony, we walked into the building's first floor for the cocktail hour. Simply put, the food was amazing. The cocktail hour alone could have served as a meal. There was a big central charcuterie station of cold appetizers - think meats, cheeses, fruits, and crudities. The four corners of the room each housed a food station - a carving station, sushi/sashimi, pasta, and Asian stir fry. Oh, and there were tons of butler service passed hors oeuvres too. Next, we walked upstairs to the large ballroom for the main meal. Dinner service started with a "Burrata Caprese" salad with a big hunk of creamy mozzarella served in a dressed salad with grilled bread. As for the dinner entrees, would you believe a choice of SEVEN entrees?? I kid you not -- seven entrees - Branzino, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, Surf and Turf, and eggplant. My table had just about all of the choices, and everything disappeared. After the meal, there was an apple tart with ice cream and wedding cake. All of the people I interacted with, the hosts, the bartenders, the servers and the clearers were super polite and friendly.
