A few months back I bought the Benjamin Moore paint in Smoke. I had used this color in the past and loved it. But something is off on the Benjamin Moore calibration machines because the color I received is not the true smoke color. Picture provided shows the one on the right to be a powdery light blue rather than the color on the left which is the true smoke color. When I brought the can back to the store Ray told me that some of the Benjamin Moore colors were coming out wrong. He was willing to take the paint back - until I shared I had waited two months to paint. Problem #1, it did not matter if I waited 30 days or 60 days to paint. The Benjamin Moore calibration of color was off. They should stand behind their product. Ray even told me I could not re-buy the paint because the machine would still produce the wrong color. Problem #2, Ray took my name and number and said they would call me to resolve the problem. They have never called. It has been 10 days. Benjamin Moore and Catalina paint did not stand behind their word to call nor their product quality. That is a lack of integrity and very poor customer service. Thankfully I was able to go to another company altogether and have them color match it beautifully.

I told him I was looking for paint to cover graffiti on stucco and showed him a piece of color sample from the wall. He used the computer to color match. However, after applying computer matched paint color and blow-drying the paint, he rejected 2 batches, because he felt neither was close enough to the sample I brought in. During the process, professional customers started streaming in and he didn't not put down my order. Instead, he asked his associate to help other customers while continue working on color matching my order. He knew I was only going to order a single gallon of the most budget friendly line of paint before I informed him, but he made me feel that I am valued as much as those professional customers who ordered buckets and buckets. I painted the wall right after returning and the color is an excellent match. Staff worker recommended us to buy a few samples ($5 each) to put on the wall and stare at it over a days and see which one fits. Because once it's made and tinted, it's not refundable, even if you don't end up using it.
