Changed from another Dental group cause they were half assed with cleaning etc. had infected tooth. They did root canal and I paid a reasonable deductible for a white porcelain cap and crown. I'm extremely disappointed with the way this office handles both communication and patient billing. I spoke with Tanisha, the office manager, who repeatedly gave inaccurate information about Medi-Cal coverage and was dismissive when I tried to clarify the facts. Before making claims about coverage, please make sure you actually understand Medi-Cal policy. After confirming directly with Medi-Cal, I learned that dental X-rays are covered once every three years , not "per provider," as Tanisha insisted. On top of that, the X-rays your office sent to another provider were blocked and encrypted, making them completely unusable. As someone who is a hospital director with an MPA degree, I can confidently say that this office demonstrates a serious lack of knowledge and professionalism. Let's be honest , it appears your office is more interested in charging patients $100 for a copy of their X-rays than in following proper procedure. According to the California Medical Board, you may only charge the amount that was actually paid to you for the film, and it certainly wasn't $100. I have the Medi-Cal claim documentation to confirm this. You'll likely be getting a call from the appropriate boards soon, as your facility has been reported. Patients deserve transparency, accuracy, and respect none of which I experienced here. read more

I love Farwest Dental! Tthey treat you like family everyone is so helpful polite even when it's busy they are so courteous and caring. I love my dentist he is really kind and gentle he has an amazing calming spirit which keeps me calm & relaxed while he does an amazing job on my teeth. I have never been in pain because doctor has a gentle touch. From the dentist to the Office Manager "Tanisha" who is also so kind she makes you feel welcomed and she has amazing patient care professionalism. She always helps you understand if you have any questions. And she has the kindest voice that is needed especially for people who don't like to go to the dentist. Trust me I used to be one of those people and years later I am still with them because they never change and they're very consistent in the way they care for their patients.Tanisha has a way with the staff and the patience and she does an amazing job supporting her staff and patients. Now If you ever want the best partial or adjustments done with perfection made to look like your own then "Marvin" is the man he is alway pleasant and ready to help create or restore a beautiful smile. Well, where do I begin? First I'll say, if you're shopping around for an excellent dentist and you're worried about making the wrong decision on who to see, look no further! What I'm going to tell you is from the bottom of my heart. I've spent years and years (40 years) of having bad experiences with dentist's that I trusted would do a good job on my teeth. Unfortunately, I'm still having problems with my teeth from all those bad experiences. I gave up going to dentist a long time ago cause' I couldn't handle all the lies, all the greed and all the lousy work I had done to my teeth from these bad dentist. And I'm not saying that they're all bad, you just have to find the right one. Which isn't always easy. But thank God I finally found that Dentist out of the ashes of disappointment, frustration and bad dental work. His name is Dr.Fayoumi at farwest dental group. He is the most nicest, most honest and sincere skilled dentist I have ever had work on my teeth. I can't praise him enough for the excellent work he has done so far for me. I honestly believe he's the best dentist in the business. And I'm saying that not only from my 40 years experience going to dentist, but also hearing horror stories from friends and family who have had bad experiences getting worked on done at the dentist office. Dentist like this comes along once in a lifetime and I can't stress it enough to give him a try... you won't regret it! I promise you that! And a special bonus is his staff who work along with him. They're the nicest people I've have ever come in contact with at a dental office. They are so friendly It's kinda out of the ordinary. The whole experience is a breath of fresh air, knowing you're in safe hands with Dr.Fayoumi. At the end of the day nobody likes going to the the dentist, specially me. Lady on the phone didn't want to take another patient and danced around the question about availability till she admitted that the Doctor was even going to be there because he is leaving "early" (1PM). This is by far the WORST experience I have had in a dentist office. I had to wait almost two hours after my 11:30a appointment for a root canal. Completely unacceptable. The procedure took about 40 minutes so I was kept waiting two times longer than the procedure actually took. Dr. Hassan Fayoumi, DDS has the worst "bed-side manner" I have encountered to date. His response to me was basically oh well! "I haven't had lunch yet" like somehow that was supposed to justify the offices appointment system. The office creates appointments like an airline where they overbook in case someone cancels or does't show for the appointment. One HUGE difference... the airline compensates for wasting the customer's time. There were several people waiting over almost two hours after their appointment time. The dental group has a few offices and I am not sure if this "system" is implemented in all of the locations but if your dentist sends you a referral for this company demand another referral... unless you like having your time completely wasted and disrespected. I was referred to the office on Manchester Avenue in Los Angeles. (600 W Manchester Ave, #1, Los Angeles, CA 90044) I did notice everyone waiting was a person of color so maybe that had a factor in why this office and "doctors" think it's ok to completely waste our time and be so disrespectful about it. Dr. Fayoumi has the WORST "bed-side manner". When the procedure was over I received no good-bye, no explanations about the procedure, how it went, what I should be expecting in the next few days....NOTHING....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Maybe he was rushing to lunch... I don't know but completely irresponsible and unprofessional. I am also filing a compliant with the Better Business Bureau as well as my insurance company so they have a record of the horrible antics of the dental group. I discovered this dental group 2 years ago when I needed a root canal. I really liked it. It is a wonderful, super nice staff. They always try to help. I love doctor Fayoumi. He is amazing. Today I had an emergency with my tooth and they were anle to help me out even if I didn't have an appointment. They always treat me so nice. I am usually very scared from dentists but they are amazing so I trust them so much. And they have very reasonable pricing as well. Thank you all for your help. read more

Do not go here ! They charge up everything after giving you a quote and the place is just unsanitary. The staff is passive aggressive so not sure if they work on commission or it's the dentists that's horrible. Either way his work is also horrible. I initially went to Farwest Dental as a referral from another dentist office. I only needed to have a filling refilled. Trusting the staff and dentist in this office was the worst mistake of my life. After having my tooth filled. I had to return back to the office 4 times for ongoing pain and continuous bite adjustments. However, my final visit was the straw that broke the camels back. The dentist suggested that I return back if I have any more problems with my tooth. So before leaving the office on my third visit I made an appointment. My 4th appointment was at 9:00am and I arrived several minutes before allowing me to be the first person in the office. However when it was time to be called into the dental chair. The assistant called other other patients who arrived later before calling me. After finally being called, I waited to be seen for over a hour and a half, until I final walked out not saying anything to anyone. I suggest not to go to this establishment because they are quite insensitive about their patients time and not honoring their word to return if the patient is still having problems. I paid cash for my services and I felt like I was being punished for returning to get the job done right. In addition, I will be filing a complaint about this dentist to the board. read more
