Buddy went from an unruly shelter dog to a Canine Good Citizen and that would not have been possible without Leslie. I will admit early on in the first Basic Class I was skeptical and thought there is no way MY dog is going to be able to do the things she is teaching, BUT that quickly changed because Leslie takes the time and trains YOU as well as your dog. My dog Cosmo and I love Splash Town!…read more For some background information, Cosmo is a golden retriever (a breed originally bred for water retrieving) who started off hating swimming as a puppy. Since our first time coming to Splash Town at the beginning of this summer, he has gone from being very hesitant about getting into the pool to enthusiastically jumping off the two-foot dock in pursuit of a thrown toy. We are even planning to enter our first just-for-fun competition with him soon! We've attended several classes and worked with all three of the instructors (Robin, Nicole, and Ginnie) at one point or another and they've all been wonderful. They give lots of instruction and advice on how to acclimate your dog to the water and work with him/her on developing toy drive and jumping further, and most importantly, they create a supportive and fun environment for both humans and canines - because if you're not both having fun, what's the point?! :) We look forward to spending many summer days to come at Splash Town and highly recommend it whether you are competitive in dock diving, or brand new to it and just looking for a fun way to spend time with your dog!

We were looking for help with leash training and overall confidence, and Nancy was the perfect fit. From the very first interaction, Nancy was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She clearly loves what she does and cares deeply about every dog she works with. I enrolled our pup in a month-long board-and-train program while I was getting married, and Nancy made the experience completely stress-free. She stayed in constant communication, sending regular updates, photos, and videos that showed the progress and the specific behaviors being worked on -- plus advice for us as owners to reinforce at home. When our dog came back, the difference was night and day. She's calmer, more responsive, and walks beautifully on a leash with far fewer distractions. Her reactivity around other dogs has improved dramatically, and she seems much more confident overall. Even after the program ended, Nancy went above and beyond -- she included additional follow-up lessons at no cost and still checks in to see how things are going.
