My dog Cosmo and I love Splash Town!…read more For some background information, Cosmo is a golden retriever (a breed originally bred for water retrieving) who started off hating swimming as a puppy. Since our first time coming to Splash Town at the beginning of this summer, he has gone from being very hesitant about getting into the pool to enthusiastically jumping off the two-foot dock in pursuit of a thrown toy. We are even planning to enter our first just-for-fun competition with him soon! We've attended several classes and worked with all three of the instructors (Robin, Nicole, and Ginnie) at one point or another and they've all been wonderful. They give lots of instruction and advice on how to acclimate your dog to the water and work with him/her on developing toy drive and jumping further, and most importantly, they create a supportive and fun environment for both humans and canines - because if you're not both having fun, what's the point?! :) We look forward to spending many summer days to come at Splash Town and highly recommend it whether you are competitive in dock diving, or brand new to it and just looking for a fun way to spend time with your dog!

She clearly loves what she does and cares deeply about every dog she works with. I enrolled our pup in a month-long board-and-train program while I was getting married, and Nancy made the experience completely stress-free. She stayed in constant communication, sending regular updates, photos, and videos that showed the progress and the specific behaviors being worked on -- plus advice for us as owners to reinforce at home. When our dog came back, the difference was night and day. She's calmer, more responsive, and walks beautifully on a leash with far fewer distractions.
