I was still contemplating which fishnets to pick, and she came back not even 15 seconds later asking if I needed help. I said no thank you. After picking the pair I wanted, I turned around to look at the clothes behind me on the wall, and was just perusing. She then came back immediately and asked if I needed anything AGAIN or if I wanted anything off the wall. This was all under the span of like, two minutes. I said no and she left but I could see her kind of circling around where I was standing. Some other customers were helped here and there. I finally needed help getting something down. She got it and took my tights to the register while I tried on my skirt, didn't fit, I put it back. I went to look at shirts. I am helped by another lady who gets the shirt down, it is too big - doesn't fit. I see these two associates talking while glancing at me as I leave the dressing room looking for something else of my style before deciding to leave while only purchasing my tights. As I was last looking, they were both hovering around me. Was the idea that I was going to steal from the second I walked into the door? I had no big bag in me, I don't think I acted suspiciously, and this behavior started the second I started looking at items in the store. I hate to scream "could this be racism", but I am Black, and both associates were White. Also, Hot Topic's fashion has just fallen off. It used to be so cool and edgy but now it's all tiktok/mushroom stuff. With the occasional "I can see this was inspired by Wednesday Addams"
