At 10:45am I texted Joyce to let her know I could not find the location, and again at 10:55. I continued driving around. I found her number and tried calling her with no success. Completely frustrated, and somewhat angry I called again 30 minutes after my appt was supposed to start and this time I mentioned leaving a Yelp review. THIS GOT HER ATTENTION and she called me back immediately. There was no apology, no "come on in I'll see you now", NOTHING. This was the worst, lamest, lack of customer service ever. I would never, EVER recommend this place to anyone. It was a complete waste of my morning!

Most other places, no matter how much I spend seem to cut it badly, and overcharged me, but Flora's rates are still pretty much the same, and cheap since years ago. TJ was very friendly and talkative while she cut my hair. She was patient with me deciding how short I wanted it, asking for midlength then after seeing the length as too long,I asked for her to cut it shorter since I only cut my hair once a year. She did a really good job layering it and cutting it evenly. Of course I'll continue to get my hair cut here. Lots of parking since it's in the waipio center, located in the same complex as foodland.

If you're looking for men's/women's cut or color, Aunty Rose (Beck) is the lady to go to!! She has been color my sister's & my hair for years now and I am always pleased when I leave. Just let her know what you want & she'll politely suggest what would be best for you--def a great listener & wants to make you, the customer happy! She is also a super personable lady; she always remembers where we last left off in the conversations 6 mo.-1 year prior. The location itself is "home" to 8 or so other hairdressers whose expertise ranges (sorry I don't really know much about anyone else...or their names either). I use my hair straightener that is less than $40 that I bought from Don Quiote and it does a great job than the crappy $65 flat ironed job that this old hag gave me. I sat in the salon for over an hour and a half. 1hr and 37 minutes to be exact. This lady kept spraying my hair with what i think was firm hair hair spray. Why? She says it keeps the hair flat!!! WRONG!!! As soon as I left the salon, I saw my hair rising and on top of that the front started to have waves. So, I paid to get tortured and have my hair not straightened like how it's suppose to be. So ladies and gents, find another place to go if you need your hair done. Whenever I have questions about our sessions and what products she's using in my hair, she's always there to answer and help. I haven't cut or colored my hair in about two years. I was trying so hard to grow it out and have virgin hair again. When we first got started she measured my hair with her comb. She asked me how many inches I wanted to chop off but I wasn't sure so she gave me a visual with her comb. I think I chopped off 10in. I can't remember lol. Throughout the whole process she was telling me what she was doing to my hair. She was really informative through the entire session. She advised me to buy Fanola No Yellow purple shampoo to tone out my hair once a week. She also recommended buying Olaplex #3 to deep condition my hair once week. Mk also recommended buying hair oil/serum and heat protectant. Not many girls do their homework from their stylist in between sessions but I want to keep my hair looking healthy and fresh so of course I'll follow what Mk tells me to buy/do.
