Even when he handed me the receipt he asked if I'm sure. It's very aggressive, predatory, and in poor taste. They use outdated abusive sales tactics. Forced and contrived, like he was about to twist my arm. It's very uncomfortable. NO IS A COMPLETE SENTENCE. They do not understand what NO means. Terrible training on management. I've attached screen shots from Google reviews from other customers that have experienced this obnoxious pushy behavior from their employees. It seems to be an ongoing issue to harass their customers. I would recommend doing the drive to their Manhattan Beach location, as other customers have recommended to avoid the obnoxious abuse.

Lastly, now that it is summer they most certainly have everything one would need with regards to swimwear, pop up chairs, towels you name it. This Big 5 location has been a fixture in Culver City for a long time. Let's hope it stays that way.

The thing about Arbor over other sporting goods type stores is that the products designed and materials used follow strict sourcing requirements to reduce the impact to earth. I got my first Arbor shirt at REI over 20 years ago and have been an avid follower of their products. I ended up buying several sweatshirts and hoodies which were embroidered or printed in very cool fashion. All the items I purchased were 50 percent off and are of great quality. The cashier and main employee was really nice, as we had nice conversations about our dogs and how she got into boarding. With such nice savings, I'll be back for value priced summer clothing in the next few months.

Mick and Jojo completely changed the experience for me. They took the time to scan my feet, listen to my concerns, explain everything to me, and help me find the right setup. I ended up with the Gel-Kayano 33s and RR Premium custom insoles, and the difference in how I felt walking and running in them was incredible. What impressed me most was how genuinely enthusiastic and caring they were. They didn't make me feel like I was just another customer trying on shoes. They actually wanted to make sure I found something that worked for me. They even stayed a little after closing to make sure I had the correct fit and was comfortable. That level of service is rare these days. For a moment, the store honestly felt more like a small mom-and-pop running shop where people genuinely care about their customers than a large retail store. I have absurdly flat feet that have been compounding my lower back issues for years. Mick has a unique way of providing a more aggressive shape to the inserts that completely alleviates the pain when I use them for my typical activities - be it running, weightlifting, basketball, or just walking around. There is a chance that they provide some level of 'discomfort' prior to being broken in, as your feet, and muscles, are adjusting to a completely new position. Stay committed to the extra support and know that you will soon re-balance with the correct position imminently. These aren't supposed to be completely comfortable, they're supposed to work. These guys take it upon themselves to make sure that the insert and shoes you select and purchase are the right fit for your needs.
