First of all, I wanna say I love the location of this business because it was tucked in to a private security filled area. It made me feel very safe. Parking was very special and I felt very welcomed. We had to stop and speak to a security guard, which was amazing. I brought in a few bags for selling, and it made me feel safe. Once I entered the business establishment I was greeted, and everybody was very friendly. They offered me a beverage and gave me an apple space for sitting on their comfortable chairs. I love how much light enters through the window windows because it makes your shopping experience fun and you can see the true colors of the bags. The bathroom was very clean. Julia was the woman I spoke to a week ago and she helped me through text message coordinate the purchase of a bag. She was very kind, patient and very thorough with all of the details that I requested upfront. When I finally met her in person to pick up the bag, she was super sweet and spent a lot of time with me. She answered all my questions and I will definitely work with her again in the future. I do wish they had some snack snacks because I always love snack snacks and I spent a few hours there. Overall loved the place. Will definitely go back. I love my bag and it's such good quality. I am writing this review because I believe other luxury handbag owners deserve to know what happened when I trusted Fashionphile with one of my most valuable possessions. I consigned my Hermès Chevre de Coromandel Birkin 40 Cognac, 2004 H in Square, through Fashionphile's consignment process. I trusted Fashionphile's reputation and expertise to handle it properly. Fashionphile received my bag. I have documentation confirming receipt, and I also have photographs provided by Marco, a Fashionphile employee, showing my Birkin in Fashionphile's possession. There is absolutely no question that Fashionphile had custody and control of my handbag. I have been battling this situation since May 16, 2026. Fashionphile was returning the bag back to me. However, through what appears to be their own negligence, they shipped my handbag to an address in a state where I do not even live. Let that sink in. A company specializing in luxury goods had possession of my Hermès Birkin and then shipped it to a completely different state that has no connection to me. This was not a situation where the package was lost before it reached Fashionphile. They had already received the bag. This was not a dispute over whether they ever possessed it. They did. I have proof. Yet despite having possession of my property, they shipped it to the wrong location and my bag has never been returned to me. Since May 16th, I have spent countless hours making calls, sending emails, gathering records, reviewing tracking information, preserving evidence, and trying to get answers. What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into weeks of stress, frustration, and uncertainty over the whereabouts of my handbag that should have remained secure while in Fashionphile's care. The most disturbing part is the lack of confidence this experience has given me in Fashionphile's handling of high-value items. Customers consign luxury goods with Fashionphile because they believe the company has systems in place to protect those items. My experience suggests otherwise. If a documented Hermès Birkin can be received by Fashionphile and then shipped to a state where the owner does not even reside, that raises serious concerns about the company's internal procedures and accountability. Beyond the financial loss, this situation has caused tremendous stress. Luxury handbags are not just expensive possessions. For many collectors, they represent years of effort, and investment. To have a company entrusted with that property lose control of it has been incredibly upsetting. I even sold purses to them and was happy with how smooth it went. However, I recently purchased a Louis Vuitton (was around $1,000) with a torn strap. The strap came apart the same day I received it so I reached out to their customer service immediately. We emailed back and forth a few times and then they just stopped communication and didn't resolve the issue. I wanted to either return the purse (make sure they would take it back) or get a discount since LV charges $390 to replace the strap. I called twice and was told the same thing both times, that someone would respond by the EOB. I sent 2 follow up emails and still no response. First time shopping experience: so mid. Looks cute but haven't invested in fixing parking lot yet. Entrances smelled like a dead animal. Everything is glass so they can see you coming a mile away but the security guard watched us and waited until we pulled on the door to open it. *eye roll* There is very little merch displayed at this flagship store. Made me use an iPad to shop online (while in person) and put it in my digital cart before they went and got it. Didn't tell me how long it would be so I stood there waiting and then they were weird about it. I'm not a mind reader and there was no communication (i .e. I was visiting the area and wanted to make sure I stopped in at FASHIONPHILE while I was in Carlsbad. I've been a customer for nearly 10 years or so, and I've purchased items from and sold items to FASHIONPHILE. I had my eyes set on a discontinued Louis Vuitton bum bag, but I wanted to see it in person before buying it. The flagship store is close to the Carlsbad airport. There is a security guard at the gate. They have ample parking. The flagship is spacious, clean, and luxurious. The staff were all welcoming and kind. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and welcomed us (my mom and sister were along for the ride) in. In my mind, I imagined that they had everything out for viewing. Not so and it makes sense why they wouldn't. 1. It's a major liability to have that much stock out on the floor 2. It wouldn't look great After I was greeted, an employee gave me an iPad. I'm so saddened and so disappointed with FashionPhile's customer service. I purchased a LV Monogram Artsy MM bag a few months ago. I spent over $2300 and was so excited because it was exactly the size I was looking for. Although I realize that the handbags they sell are gently used- I did not expect the LV letters to start peeling off within weeks of the purchase. I took it back to the FashionPhile store at the Carlsbad outlets and showed them the peeling. I didn't want a refund- I simply wanted to exchange it for one that is not peeling. I really loved that style of the handbag. They told me that It was past their 15 day return policy and that I need to take it to the flagship store. So I did that and the flagship store turned me away and told me to call their corporate phone office. So again, I did just that. The representative on the phone was very kind and informed me that he opened a ticket and will have the correct team get back to me tomorrow. They didn't. I waited a few days, called back and spoke with another very kind customer service representative who told me I would get an email by the end of the day. I did not. Finally- I got a generic email from them stating "FashionPhile takes authenticity very seriously" and that the peeling of the LV letters I was experiencing was normal wear and tear. However if I wanted to contest the authenticity of the handbag that I purchased from them, that I was required to submit a certificate from an authentication service stating that the bag was not authentic. The store is immaculate - you feel like you are in one of the manufacturer's showrooms. You can shop on an ipad and they will bring you items you want to see, stored in the back. The showroom is sophisticated in its minimal aesthetic. The people working there are friendly and attentive. I have only sold here and the process is smooth and simple. I bring in my handbags/shoes and they take the items in for inspection and authentication. Each item takes about 15 minutes. They return with a list of your offers or reason they don't want the item. You are under no obligation to accept the offer nor do you pay a fee for authentication. Whatever you decide not to sell is returned to you; for what you do sell you have a few options - store credit, Neiman Marcus gift card, or cash payout. If you do the cash payout, you receive a direct deposit within in days. Make an appointment whether you are selling or buying, best way to do it. And plan on 15 minutes per item (if you have a lot, I recommend breaking up the appointments rather than having to wait, though I will say it never takes as long as they quote you). read more

They sent me a label to ship my 4,000 dollar purse to them for resell and magically it was stolen between me shipping it to them or upon arrival and they refused to give me any information on an insurance claim or receiving a credit despite the only way to get the expensive item to them is by using their shipping label. I spent months trying to get them to correspond with me which was so disappointing considering I had been a customer for years. They gave me the run around over a receipt which I provided 2 times and basically refused to make it right by continuing to say the same idiotic thing. They are cat fishing around...pretending to be helpful knowing they aren't interested in making this right knowing they are responsible. I have been a FASHIONPHILE customer and seller for years. Last month, I went through my closet and decided to sell some pieces. I had an appointment at Carlsbad location, went in with my items and waited in their waiting area for quotes on what they wanted and so on. One of the items unfortunately turned out to be counterfeit. This was a shock to me because I purchased this off eBay from a 100% positive feedback seller, had boxes and papers for this piece to boot. I had no idea this was not authentic. Of course, this is my problem and basically lesson learned buying off eBay. Regardless they purchased all my other authentic items (6 pieces) and the sales associate gave me some good advice on how to try to get my money back from eBay/PayPal. My complaint is today I received a nasty follow up email (a month later) stating how if I brought in an authentic piece in the future, they would revoke my selling privileges. The email was insulting and quite shocking verbiage to a good customer that for years has bought and sold pieces to them. Not to mention how many friends and clients I have steered their way. I recently brought in several designer handbags, all gently used and in excellent condition. From the moment I arrived, the experience was disappointing. The associate with the iPad did not introduce herself and maintained a noticeably dismissive and condescending attitude throughout the interaction. They took my bags for authentication without counting the items in front of me, which requires customers to trust that everything is handled accurately. I was told to leave and return an hour later, with no receipt or itemized list provided. When I returned, I was offered extremely low "pawn-shop-level" prices approximately 20% of the bags' actual value, despite their excellent condition. I was also told they do not offer consignment, which contradicts the information listed on their own website unless the bags exceed a certain threshold which mine did. A couple days after purchasing my Louis Vuitton double phone pouch from fashionphile in Carlsbad, I noticed that the LV logo and lines are not level on the pouch. The lines and logo go slightly uphill. When I compared the photos of the pouch I received with photos of the exact same bag being sold and marketed on the Internet, I noticed that no other phone pouch has a crooked logo. This created an authenticity concern for me which was communicated by phone to the sales rep I purchased from. They advertise an authenticity guarantee, but when I called to question the authenticity based on the evidence that I see, I was completely dismissed by the sales rep that sold me the bag. All I was told was that the metals/alloys of the pouch were tested, it was x-rayed and that there is a chip located in the pouch. I never saw any proof from fashionphile, nor did management return my call to address my concerns like my sales rep promised. I tried not to let the poor service steal the joy of having a new pouch, but truthfully it did. I'm definitely not a Louis Vuitton expert, but I don't think that I need to be if a business is advertising authenticity guarantee. I've been wanting a luxury handbag for quite some time now but haven't been able to justify the price tag. Unfortunately for the consumer, prices keep going up every year so waiting can actually hurt you. The bag I had my eye on for a while now went up $700 over the course of the year!! I decided to pull the trigger before it got even more expensive, and started searching for reputable resale stores that carried the exact bag and color that I wanted. What caught my eye about Fashionphile is that they've been around for decades and have a partnership with Neiman Marcus. They also have a great protection policy against counterfeits and will refund you should you discover that your item is not authentic. I'm lucky to live around this area so I could pop by the flagship store (the other one is located in NYC) and the bag I had my eye on happened to be at this location so I could pick it up the same day after ordering it online. I called (a few times) to make an appointment so I could pick up my bag and so I could shop a few other items so I could be confident in my selection. I was really impressed by the condition of my bag which was "excellent" but to me seemed like it was basically brand new. I asked them to pull a few bags in other "conditions" and ultimately decided it was worth it to spend a little more to get a nearly pristine bag. The sales associate who helped me was nice and friendly. She stopped by to check on me a few times and pulled the inventory I was interested in right away. If you can, I would recommend stopping by and checking out your items over just having them shipped and delivered (if your item is located in store). This gives you the opportunity to evaluate the condition and return it right away if it ends up not being what you wanted, and you don't have to worry about the item getting damaged in transit either to you or when you return it. I would definitely return the next time I'm in the market for a luxury item. I saved $900 compared to current retail price on my handbag and I'm happy with my experience. read more

So today I stopped by after seeing them online as well as on tv. I was interested in selling a Rolex watch. When I called ( glad I did) you have to make an appointment to come in. I made an appointment for around 3:30 I believe. When I arrived you have to check in with a security guard to verify you have an appointment before you even park. Parking was plentiful. When I walked in the first thing I noticed it was very modern and clean. You had to check in again at the front desk where they have you sit at a table. This gal came out. I don't even remember is she introduced her self. When I meet new people I like to shake hands but she had no interest in doing that. Straight to the point. She handed me an iPad and had me select items that I wanted to see. I gave her my item that she took to the back. She said it would take about 20-30 mins. She went back to her desk as I selected items to view. She came back to check up on me to see if I was ready. It took about another 10 mins for the items to come out. After viewing the items I did notice that the items were very nice but on the pricy side. Both were Rolex datejust 41mm. One had box and papers and the other didn't have anything. The one that didn't have anything was very nice but unfortunately did not have extra links. That being said the watch did fit nice on my wrist but for the price I would expect to at least have the extra links the watch came with. The other one was a complete set which was also nice. That one was definitely on the higher end of the 2cd hand market. After viewing the watches the lady came back, and handed me the offer on the iPad and walked started walking away. I looked at the offer and said wasn't going to work. I did not tell her but that offer was 1K lower than the offer that I had received from another place. I am writing this review because I'm in the middle of a recent transactions for a luxury handbag with Rebag. I have had over 50 transactions with Fashionphile and they have all been flawless. I realize now I have taken them for granted. I was loaded into believing that all companies were this reliable. I wound up selling my Gucci bag for a little bit more money to Rebag. It has been an unmitigated disaster. Stay away from them. When they send you a prepaid label to ship your bag to them, they do not include any insurance and they do not inform you clearly that this is the case. I had that positive experience carrying me through and had seen that many of the bags I liked were located in Carlsbad, CA. Living nearby, I thought I could stop by and browse like you could at Nordstrom or Neiman or a Chanel boutique. Boy, was I very wrong. I stopped by and the security guy at the gate stopped me (I was with my mom, we're both Mexican (I'll add why that's relevant in a second)) and asked if we had an appointment. I said no, that I just wanted to browse. He asked if they could accommodate and they said they'd fit us in. I was appreciative, if a bit surprised of all the song and dance to get us in - but still, they have a lot of purses so I guess it makes sense. We pull up to the "VIP Parking" which should really stand for "Very Insignificant Person" parking because that's how they made us feel once we got inside. Let me paint you a picture. I had my 2.55 mademoiselle turn lock accordion flap reissue chanel handbag on my arm, was dressed nicely, and my mom was with me (she had her cane). We got to the door and they did not unlock it for us until after we tried opening it despite seeing us reach it. Once inside, I told the employee that I was looking to browse and possibly buy a Chanel flap bag more in the classic style. She gave me a whole speech about how this was their HQ and that a lot of their inventory isn't here. I"m hearing this, while I see at least 3 customers shopping in the background. She then asked me, very condescendingly, if I even had a Fashionphile account. I said I did. She didn't let me tell her I had already shopped with Fashionphile before. She told me she didn't have any tables open for me or my mom at the moment but she gave me an iPad to "shop online" and to "add to cart" any items I"d like. Then, if they had those items, they'd pull them from the back to show them to me if/when a table opened up. Seemed simple enough. We were sat in the lobby, my mom with her cane, and I with this tiny iPad and nowhere to rest my purse. We were given complimentary boxed water. In the time I shopped on their iPad on my own Fashionphile account, I could see one customer had already left (meaning there was space). Another customer sat at their table with 6 purses in front of them with no customer service attendant. My mom and I spent between 20-25 minutes "shopping online" during which time the security guard chose to move from the end of the front of the store to right next to my elderly mother for the whole time we were there. We felt watched and uncomfortable. We were NEVER moved to a table. I gave my iPad once to one of the employees who told me the chanel bags I liked were "such unique items" and they had nothing comparable to show me. My mom and I have visited the chanel boutique in Nordstrom, frequently gone to Nordstrom over the years, and/or Neiman, Bloomingdales, etc. and have never experienced anything like this. We left having NEVER BEEN SEATED, NEVER BEEN SHOWN A SINGLE PURSE. I left and bought a $3,800 Chanel bag instead elsewhere, brand new. Let me make one thing clear: I adore my chanel wallet I bought from the NY store. I'm glad I bought it before visiting the Fashionphile physical store. I am so pleased with my recent experience at Fashionphile in Carlsbad! I brought in some purses for purchase - it was a seamless process, make an appt, bring them in, a rep evaluates them and explains the pricing offer, etc.. First, of all it was fast and they were really fair unlike other online platforms imo. The staff was very professional and friendly. In the past, I have also sent items via mail via their buyback system, literally in a couple of days, I received an email regarding the direct deposit.. super efficient process! The only reason why I opted not to give 5 stars, is I think the shipping process needs a little work. A couple months ago I ordered 5 items and my items hadn't been shipped, not even a partial shipment. Anyway, I called and decided to just pick them up. You need to make an appt to do this btw. Regardless- I love this place, great customer service, ambience - and more importantly great place to find rare luxury items no longer in store. I def reccomend this place! read more

I'm not a fan of purchasing used high end stuff, because you just never know! I purchased a purse that LV discontinued, I was hoping that they would eventually bring it back but the my totally changed the design. I drove for about 2hrs all the way to Carlsbad in hopes that they would allow me to go in because I didn't have an appointment. Let me begin by saying that the location is just beautiful. It's guarded which I loved and couldn't expect anything else. Upon entering their staff was very welcoming and willing to help. Their facility is beautiful!!!! The purse I purchased was like new! It exceeded my expectations. I price was not bad either. The only issue I found was getting ahold of them. The wait time is really bad but other than that I totally recommend them! read more

I found this place on yelp, i don't think after this i'll ever go to a regular store for designer anymore, great location about 15mins from my place. APPOINTMENT is a great way for this time of the year, please call and save yourself a slot. Walk-ins are welcome but they got booked with the appointment just in case you don't have to leave. Front security is super helpful for appointment and checking if any opening in show room. Always treat customers with VIP parking. Not to mention i missed a step right in front of the entrance they came out and help me with iced bag. If you ever see that sign in front saying watch your step that's the history of my embarrassed. Thanks for everything i was totally fine. Nothing broken. CUSTOMER SERVICE are great, i'm recommended to download FASHIONPHILE app and create the account save all of the items you want to see or buy that will save so much time and easier to shop. Please pay attention to the items location with mean choosing on the Carlsbad location underneath each item. Already made another appointment to sale my designers here next month, CANT WAIT! Shoutout to all the staffs that work here, really helpful and fast. I'll definitely come back here in the future. I ordered the bag from Fashionphile for pick up on Saturday, 4/3/21 at the Carlsbad location. Shortly thereafter, I received the email below notifying me that my Order is "Ready for Pick Up!" Nowhere on the email does it state that an appointment is required for pick up orders, nor does the email provide a phone number to make one. I called several times on Monday 4/5/21 to confirm my pick up and left several messages at 844-619-8902. I pressed 1 for the Carlsbad Showroom. No one ever answered. The Fashionphile app "Contact Us" tab states "visit Carlsbad by appointment and walk-ins are welcome." On Tuesday morning, I drove from Orange County to the Carlsbad showroom location. When I got there, the security guard stated that pick up was by appointment only. I told him that I tried calling several times, emailed and left messages. I further explained that I drove an hour from my work site and don't live in the state of California. I showed him my emails regarding the pickup and was he was very condescending. He told me "other people made appointments and whatever number you are calling must go to sales." He basically told me that the misinformed email was wrong and I needed to call the front desk in the Carlsbad show room directly. When I got into the showroom Tamara relayed to me that my bag was not at the actual showroom, but across the street. She told me that I could come back tomorrow. I told her that I wouldn't be able to make the trip back tomorrow and thankfully Tamara was able to have my item shipped to Newport Beach (which is significantly closer to my work site). However, this entire experience wasted over 2 hours of my day. I understand there are protocols in place due to covid-19, however, Fashionphile should notify customers of these protocols to avoid time being wasted. Further, sending customers an email that states "order is ready for pick up" when they are not is extremely unprofessional and frustrating especially when they are spending $1,000+ for those items. read more
