Last night, I learned the security guards will scam/cheat you out of money that is supposed to go to someone else. The DJ was playing last night and I asked the security guard if i could request a song. The security guard said "if you tip him, he'll talk to you." I pulled out $5 and gave it to the security guard guy and he counted it. Then he looked over to the DJ and I'm assuming he asked if he would take requests. Without even looking at me, the DJ shook his head 'no' to the security guard. The security guard turned to me and said he wasn't taking requests. It seems pretty obvious that the security guard knew the DJ wasn't taking requests. I told him "You said the DJ would talk to me if I tipped him," and he tried to tell me the DJ DID talk to me. Big rip. Basically, bottom line, don't ask the security guard to make a request to the DJ. And if you do, for the love of god, give your money directly to the DJ. Fuck this place and the asshole security guard that wouldn't give me my money back. At the very least, my tip should have gone to THE DJ - Not the security guard that looked like silent bob. read more

We went on a Monday and got free fries and half of sausages. $15 for 4 sausages, learning from experience only get 1 sausage, they are big. Amazing place, it was really packed when we went but we got served our food in under 15 minutes. I loves the habanero chicken that they had but get ready for it to be spicy. read more

Fassler Hall sucks. The people that work there are the most rude people I have EVER met. Every time I go there I have the worst time and all my friends I leave in like 10 minutes. I don't understand why people love going there because it's really not that much fun. Arnies bar is better than that place and that's REALLY saying something. Don't ever go to this place. Fassler Hall is great. The beer and food selection are solid, the bartenders are all awesome, and they have great live music performers. My only gripe is that it seems like the capacity isn't always carefully managed and when it gets crowded, it gets way too hot and overwhelming trying to navigate through the walls of people. Other than that, it's a great spot for a giant stein of beer and some duck fat fries to have a fun night. Check out Jacob Tovar and the Saddle Tramps on Thursdays from 8-10pm. World class musicians who play real old-school honky tonk music. GREAT stuff. read more

Fassler Hall is that bar that is go to for any occasion. Saturday Night Chill session, Sunday Funday, Events ... the works! I have been there for all 3 occasions and it is a good crowd each time. The Brats are delic and fries too! The only bad thing is parking. If you park in the wrong lot you will get a ticket. So be careful! Otherwise... go ready for a great time :) read more

We have been several times for the brunch and mimosa bar, and this was the first time we had friendly service! Usually, the bartenders have straight faces and just want you to order and go away. This biggest draw to this brunch is the very affordable mimosa bar with several juice options. The gravy is killer and I usually order extra, bc the serving is small. This is a great place to grab a couple beers and snacks while catching up with an old friend. I got a pint of the german beer they recommended (can't remember the name) as well as the duck fat fries and pretzel. I though that the pretzel was very average, while the duck fat fries were the star of the show. The fries are addicting, and my hands were like a hammer jack constantly reaching down for more as soon as I popped the previous fry in my mouth. The good: Everyone loved the sausage. I had the haberno chicken, which, yes, was quite spicy and, no question, the best chicken sausage I've ever had. Other faves included the turkey, the special of the night. The beer list is good--not overwhelmingly long but with plenty of options, domestic and imported. The pretzels were authentic German style, apparently shipped from Germany itself. The salt was a little heavy for my tastes, but that problem is easily remedied. The atmosphere is pretty fun. Decor is minimal, but the German biergarten-style tables and the ability to open the big garage door in the front on warm nights (like, yes, the warm night in December I was there) give it a good feel. The questionable: It's a limited food menu; if you don't want sausage, don't go. We had high hopes for the frites, fried in duck fat as they are. But they seemed as if they had been sitting too long after being taken out of the frier. read more

A friend and I were on a long bike ride and spied a garage-like place serving up beers and brats, so we decided to stop for lunch. There were about 10 guys around the bar already drinking. I spied some menu items written on a wall, which sounded good and I wanted to browse a menu. Fiiiiiinnnnnaaaaallllllyyyyyyy the bartender came over.....and was really fucking rude!! We asked for a menu, he was a smartass about that (the kind of smart ass that doesn't smile to let you know he's joking)....we wanted to know about the beers and he acted like he didn't have time for all that, so we left. I'm glad we did because we went to S & J Oyster bar right down the street where we had a super awesome friendly bartender and Oysters Rockefeller that was delicious. read more

Mondays can be such a drag so I appreciate Monday specials. Thank you Fasslers for The Sausage Party on Monday Nights (all sausages are 1/2 price)! And even more genius, happy hour that starts at 8pm. I'm a big fan of the lamb and chicken sausage - extra tzatiki sauce with some sriracha mixed in. Don't get me wrong, the reg braut is nice. Love this bar, its always fun whether it's packed out or just a few tables are full. The night life is usually pretty swamped but happy hour has a more intimate feel. It's authentic German feel creates such a fun atmosphere and the staff is always helpful in finding you the perfect beer. read more

Have only popped in here more mid-afternoon excursions and never for the nightlife, but the food is absolutely spectacular. The sausages are top notch and the beer selection is very good. I hear its a pretty rockin' concert venue too, but that's not really my scene. If you're looking for a more unique lunch, this place is definitely worth a try. read more

This place is extremely underrated for its food! Get the chicken shnitzel sandwich. It's perfectly crispy. Also, people told me I had to get the duck fries! So I would get those as well. Also, if it's brunch they have incredible fresh juices. This place, food wise, is on point! read more

If you're going for the food and during the day, more power to you, but at night, at least for me, its basically like going back in time to that first frat party freshman year. I'm only 27 and I feel like i've outgrown this place. Let me put it this way, if you're too old to be on your parents' health insurance plan this ain't your cup of tea. Seriously though, there is also just way too much testosterone drifting around, which makes the whole place not all that female friendly. Not to mention the fact that college kids are often audibly snorting whatever upper they could get their grubby little fingers on in the bathrooms or on the patio like freakin dust busters. In conclusion, if you're a college kid, it's no dive bar but sloppiness is permissible so 9/10 would bang. If you're over 24, maybe look elsewhere unless you feel nostalgic for the good old days of staying up to 5am, railing cigs and getting hammered in loud-ass room with too many people. read more

Stopped by for lunch, the excellent brat was half priced and the food and atmosphere were excellent although Monday at lunch I was the only one here. Would def come back if you like the euro style bench seating and decent bar. Wondering how popular this place is at dinner and weekends since I would totally hang out here. read more

Would love to give higher - since every time we talked to people on phone they were friendly and we love German food but... I called in October to see how late food would be served on New Years Eve (because we were running the 5K that started at 11:45pm). They said "oh yeah... We'll be serving food after midnight that night - come on by!". Ok great - New Year's Eve with German food/drink after a run - what could be better! When we drove into Tulsa on NYE (after a few hours on the road), we called again that same afternoon to confirm how late food would be served until because we would be haulin' A$$ to get there after our race. Again, a very friendly person said: "oh yeah... We'll be serving till after midnight... At least 12:30, though probably closer to 1am". Ok great. It 'IS' NYE and just wanted to make sure plans were in sync. When we arrived after the race, we were about to pay the $5 cover charge until a gentleman told us "the kitchen closes at midnight on Thursdays" and we were not getting food that night. (said like it was any other weeknight) Needless to say, after planning (and confirming with Fassler Hall) for months on what to do that evening for NYE... We ended up ringing in our new year with Taco Bell (bleck!) back at the hotel. Looked like fun place and any other night that kind of miscommunication would have been OK, but this was poor form for NYE. Thankfully, the 5K race was awesome and made the night great either way. read more

Went here for volunteers night before okctoberfest. Meh- to the price and selection they had for us. Was going to sit in the patio and enjoy a beer I did like with my dog and husband and got kicked out because they "didn't allow dogs on their patio." Never heard such a thing. Their excuse was "it's a liability". Honestly, that's the worst excuse I've heard for not letting a dog on an outdoor patio. We will never return for a drink. My dog is trained like a service dog and is just as important to our family. I get that some businesses don't allow dogs, but a "liability" is a load of baloney. read more

Octoberfest all year long - This is a pretty fun place to grab some large beers with friends... it has a very Octoberfesty vibe to it. There is nothing up-tight about this bar. Just beer, music and beer. read more

A great selection of German beer and food, huge wooden bench style tables, and an amazing looking wooden bar with knowledgeable and passionate staff. Fassler is always great. Authentic German Beer Hall with great draft beers and a bunch of bottles. Great food including several different sausages that are all good. I've also had the pork rinds, pretzels and the fries made with duck fat, which are awesome. Great atmosphere! read more

Monday nights are half off on bratwursts and they have some of the best I have ever eaten. They have all types of beers as well to choose from. The place is pretty big and the way they have it set up is they have picnic tables in the middle and on the side. I went on a Monday night and it got pretty busy because of the bratwurst special and the Monday night football game. It is a definite chill place and I would recommend it. They are also known for making duck fries. read more

For what Frasier Hall is, it is real good and very authentic. It is a German Beer hall, go in expecting that and you will be not be disappointed in the slightest. Go in expecting a hip trendy bar, you need to widen your horizons, so stay and have a beir or two (or 4). read more

This was one of our stops that we wanted to make as we crawled downtown with the Tulsa Area Single Mingle Facebook group. It was a Friday night and we never got inside. We refused to pay the $8 cover charge. A large group of cute girls refused to pay too, so it would seem with the high cover, this was Fassler Hall's loss. Get out your lederhosen and come on down. I was disappointed to not see anyone in a dirndl but still a fun place..Its a big open space..i bet its a lot of fun when there is a band. It has those giant german like picnic table like things to sit on. My brat was just ok and my wife didnt like her falafel thing...the pretzels were amazing though, and the duck fat fries, whatever the heck that is, were worth the visit alone if you are a fry lover. The chicken schnitzel was the food version of being water boarded. Card'rboarded, if you must. The German pretzels were definitely super pretzels or a step up Kirkland brand. Ugh. Choked it down with a brew which saved the day. Sunday's in Tulsa I guess. read more

This IS the worst bar/restaurant in all of downtown Tulsa. I do not recommend going here. Service wasn't even terrible..it was beyond that. I am so regretful for spending even a penny there. This place will never be mentioned again in my home. Thank you. read more
