I just called this company to arrange a locksmith to come and rekey our house. This is literally a transcript of our 21 second conversation, which took place on 12/13/16. Them: Fast Eddy's Key's Me: Hi, who am I speaking to? Them: uhhh... this is Eddy the owner. Me: Hi Eddy how are you doing today? Them: I'm really busy with a customer right now, what do you need? I've never used a locksmith before, and to be quite honest, I had no idea what to expect. My situation was somewhat unusual, but these guys were exceptional in their professionalism and service. They came out thinking they were going to do more work than they ended up doing (re-keying two doors / 4 locks), but in the end they recommended NOT doing the full extend of the work and just helped me access the property at the most basic level so we can do future repairs later. Any business that recommends doing LESS work because it's in the best interest of their customer is a business I will hire again and again, and I will recommend them to anyone needing help. read more

You know all those reviews that talk about how awesome Eddy is, how responsive? BELIEVE THEM. I just bought a house that needed to be rekeyed and it turned out the locks are very special--the kind banks use--so he gave me the name of the company that services them. But not only that, cut off the lockbox that had been left behind, gave me some excellent advice about my locks and home security, and didn't charge me for the visit even though I offered to pay for the house call. I had been having a problem with front door lock for two years. I had two different locksmiths out to fix the problem and spent hundreds of dollars. I read the reviews about Fast Eddys and decided to try him. He showed up exactly on time at 9:00am, diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem using my existing lock, charged me a fraction of what I was used to paying, and had was done and gone by 9:18am. I lost my keys for the lock on a storage unit. The mini-storage place couldn't do anything for me and said I'd need to call a locksmith. Cue entrance of Fast Eddy. He certainly lived up to his name! He had the lock open and I had access to my books in under a minute. My house is over a 100 years old, as are the interior and mechanisms/locks. One broke and wouldn't open at all, I called Fast Eddys and within minutes they figured out the problem and gave me several options. I opted to cut the latch to get the door open and to keep the old mechanism on the door, and even though it doesn't latch, it opens and closes perfectly! It took them less than 10 minutes!!! I would highly recommended Fast Eddys - I locked the old lockset on the front door of my 1924 south Minneapolis house, and it was stuck in the locked position afterwards. There was no way to open the door, even from the inside. Fast Eddys came out within an hour and took five minutes to sort out the problem. I have been using this company for 10 yrs. they installed all my locks on my business's they installed panic bars, door closers and deadbolts. they also Rekeyed them on several occasions.
