It's only a couple blocks up from 17 (85 and 280 are a quick drive once on 17), so it's an easy location to get to off of the freeway. When you go there you don't need to go into the Chevron store. You can walk up to the garage and someone will greet you there. They have a small area with seats too if you choose to sit but the process is quick, so you can easily stand outside and wait if you want. It's a first come, first serve walk-in type of location. And it moves quickly. It is also a Star Certified shop, so if the DMV is requiring that you get a more rigorous, certified test completed on your car this place will work. The guys working there are super friendly and the service is fast. And the shop is clean. I originally sent out a request via Yelp! to get pricing and they responded in less that 5 minutes. Going through Yelp! is also a good way to go because they offer you a discount when you reach out to them via the Yelp! app/website. When they finish they said the results would be accessible by the DMV within a couple of hours. There were two people in front of me but despite that I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place and I will utilize them for our other cars.

We had to take our Prius in for a smog check (why though, it's a Prius!) and I called in to to make an appointment, which was easy to do. When we arrived, they told us where to position our car, asked for the DMV paperwork, and quickly went about performing the smog check. They performed it quickly, did it for a transparent fixed price (some places charge more for certain cars, including Prius's, which seems strange), and got us on our away quickly. The price was reasonable too - about $60 all in. They pointed us to some chairs where we could sit and wait while they did the test - nothing fancy, but it's good to have an option to sit. For whatever reason, smog checks are something I kind of dread, even though it's always painless. Having a local place that can do this quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price is always worth calling out.

The time estimated for my oil change was about 30-40min but was actually all done within 20min. They check your other fluids along with the oil change. I was told my tranny fluid needs changing which would cost $200, and my brake fluid needs to be replaced which was estimated at $100. I declined both since I didn't have a budget for all that and he said "that's fine, I'm obligated to tell the customer these things. whenever you're ready we'll be glad to help you with that" and kept it in my notes on file for future reference. The woman who helped me was incredibly kind and accommodating. She told me to come back the next morning, and even arranged for their technician to come in especially for me. I was there with my baby, and they were very understanding and considerate, which I truly appreciated. It's not something you always find. There's no doubt that for any car-related issue in the future, I'll be coming back to them.

Came in for a smog test like most where they include a complimentary inspection report of things wrong with your car and they provide a line item repair estimate. Had a suspension component replaced after the smog which went well. They gave me a complimentary oil change, I thought wow this is too good to be true. To my shock, the exact same orange oil filter that I recently installed myself was on the vehicle still, so did they really do an oil service? I paid for a coolant service, when I picked up the car it was wreaking coolant smell and was steaming. Turned out the Y hose that fed the heater was bad, you can see and smell it dripping. Coincidence? Maybe, but they should have noticed this right away. Their prices are very expensive compared to other mechanics in the area. You do have the option of bringing in your own parts to save money. Anyhow, they lost my trust and I will not be returning. My advice would be to make sure to inspect your vehicle repairs before leaving their driveway.
