I didn't take pictures, as this smog and repair place is just located at a Chevron gas station. Well, I actually did take a picture, but there were people in it that might not want to be part of my review and it honestly didn't show much, but not having a good photo didn't seem like a reason not to leave a 5 star review for a good local place who provided really good service. We had to take our Prius in for a smog check (why though, it's a Prius!) and I called in to to make an appointment, which was easy to do. When we arrived, they told us where to position our car, asked for the DMV paperwork, and quickly went about performing the smog check. They performed it quickly, did it for a transparent fixed price (some places charge more for certain cars, including Prius's, which seems strange), and got us on our away quickly. The price was reasonable too - about $60 all in. They pointed us to some chairs where we could sit and wait while they did the test - nothing fancy, but it's good to have an option to sit. For whatever reason, smog checks are something I kind of dread, even though it's always painless. Having a local place that can do this quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price is always worth calling out. read more

I came here for a smog check and was out in about 10 minutes. This is my second time here and I have always been treated well with prompt and quick service. The price is also competitive and they do offer a Yelp special plus the price of the certificate. The shop is run by the owner. He wore gloves and barely touched my car and did not sit in it at all during the entire process to minimize any sort of contact. It is a small shop located next to a gasoline shop. Found the Groupon for a $29 smog in the morning - called up for an appointment that evening at 4:30 p.m. Showed up a bit early at 4:15 p.m. - they got me in and I was done and rolling home by 4:36 p.m. AWESOME! Did a simple smog check here. Made an appointment same day and when I arrived the mechanic politely stopped his work on a car in the bay and set up mine outside. He was pleasant to talk to while the test was going on. When done, the cert was sent to the state and was given my receipt with the cert info on it. I called to set an appointment and was easily accommodated with an evening appointment so I wouldn't have to take off work or interrupt my weekend. Upon arrival Amar was working on a car but asked if I was Brittany. When I confirmed that I was, he asked me to wait a minute and went in the back to (I assume) wash his hands or something. He came out wearing gloves and a mask, and quickly scanned in my DMV paperwork and started the check. I stood out of his way and watched for a short while and then decided to pull out my book. I only got in one page before he called me over to let me know that my car had passed and to request payment. We even had a bit of a friendly chat as he rung me up. To top it all off, I had seen a discount coupon when I set the appointment but noticed it was no longer on the website day-of when I went to double-check the shop location. Darn! I assumed he might not honor it. Nope! I didn't even have to ask, he just rung me up for the discount price on his own. What honesty - I wouldn't have blamed him if he said the promotion had ended. All in all, I was off and rolling with my data submitted to the DMV having spent only about 15 minutes and $38 - pretty epic in my opinion. read more
