If you live in Clarksville please avoid this company. Their lack of attention to detail, general lack of concern, and mismanagement of property is appalling. I honestly do not have a single good thing to say about this company. Here are a few details: - tenant completely removed and replaced kitchen floor. They didn't realize it and called me a liar when I told them it was not the original flooring. Also told I was financially liable to get it back to its original condition. - consistently charges for fees that fall under tenant responsibility per the lease - never charged vacating tenants for damages. - failed to take any pictures when placed online for rent. Simply pulled photos from google of when I purchased the house years before putting it on the market. - a laundry list of other items in disrepair that should have been fixed, to include a leaking front door that has now resulted in floor rot. Just a few examples and I have so many more. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a property management company. I might suggest My Place Realty, which is who I am with now. read more

I have been with this property management since 2001, yes 2001. They were the best in town at the time, but gradually declined. I am in the military and very proud of the first house I purchased, unfortunately they didn't feel the same pride. They did very little to manage my home. I came home and did a drive by to find mis matched shingles (brown and black) on it, outside looking horrible. It broke my heart to see my pride and joy run down and unattended, (yes people were living in it). When I called and asked why the house looked the way it did, I was told they were busy and my house was too far out to keep a close watch. It didn't end there. I should of changed at that time property management, but as most military I was out the door again on another deployment and just didn't have time to change things. It was a wind fall of missteps and carelessness of their part, not informing me of issues, over charging maintenance, basically they just took their management fee and did as little as possible managing my property. It got to the point when I saw an email or call from them I expected the worse, because that's exactly what it was. I expressed my concerns numerous times, but it's like they knew I was at a disadvantage not being co located and was reliant on them. Thankfully I have changed property management, and Rent TN Property has been a delight and breath of fresh air. Do not use Fast Train Property, they cause more stress and issues than anything. They do not care about your property or you as an owner. Look at their ratings across the sites, they are low for a reason. Majority of the complaints from owners I have experience myself. Had bathroom issues. The toilet kept overflowing. Only the front toilet the bedroom toilet and back bathroom toilet were fine. Fast Train always worked with us but when we mentioned we were going to look for another place to live due to health issues all of a sudden they were not too responsive with a problem which was the toilet and would not return phone calls. This went on until we left. And I think it was really a disappointment when they mailed our Security deposit check to the home we had leased not to the home we moved into. Really? For Almost 3 years everything was great and we were again very good tenants clean tenants in fair tenants. We always worked with them even when it was an inconvenience for us to have people walking through our home working on issues that had to be done more than once. But life goes on. The reason I had a big problem with this situation is because they charged us money to pay the plumbers and we thought that was very unfair. You don't always have a few hundred dollars sitting around at least we don't because we are seniors on a set income. read more

What an amazing experience with fast train. Rented from them for almost two years and the end result was awesome. They were timely when it came to any issues with our home. They also helped us during our home buying venture by assisting in our lease situation. They worked with us to rent out the home and showed fairness in our final inspection. Just talked to FT was told deposit in mail to tune of $750. $50 to repaint walls since it's so cheap and if you try to clean them the paint comes right off. Did inspection and was told everything was fine. Owners are putting new carpet in since house flooded in winter. FT said don't worry about doing living room. All of a sudden our whole deposit taken due to a possible flea problem since we had dogs. Nope, flea treatment every month on pets since husband is allergic. Ft is lying and didn't send proof. FT always did good with maintenance calls and repairs, for them to lie about my deposit coming and all of a sudden keeping it. Shady as heck. Glad I'm not with them anymore if that's how they run their business. I'll be talking to my lawyers about this. Supposedly, FT is sending proof. Doubtful. Will see what lawyer says. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, we've had a house listed thru them since 2004 & all was great till July 2013. One year of HORRIBLE!! Then when we submit our notification to terminate, they come back with a monthly rental $200 UNDER our listing...No thanks!! So then we receive a bill of $685 of work that was done. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM it is nothing but a hassle, and when they say one thing what they really mean is stop calling get out of our office because we don't care about anything but our paychecks but I knew better than to use them as they are NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY and we were advised to stay away. Terrible customer service, don't expect to get your deposit back. They are running a racket with all their little buddies to do the carpet cleaning and stuff to drain you more. They "recommend a friend" of theirs who has a carpet cleaning company, also the same guy who said they don't even fix the stuff they make you pay for out of your deposit. They apparently just pocket the money from each tenant and leave everything the way it is until they turn it back over to the owners, and use the last tenants deposit to fix it all. Spray painted walls you can see the old paint right through, and the woman that comes out to do the inspections complains about how "these motherf*ckers don't pay me enough to deal with this sh*t". Yup 100% glad I read these reviews. Every rental company I have dealt with thus far has been straight up and honest about rental qualifications. This lady didn't give me a name, gave me a vague list of qualification requirements and when I tried to let her know of things that may fall in the list she would only say she doesn't know she doesn't do the qualifying. When I finally said I would stop in to talk to someone she said no they were all going to tell me exactly what she did and I HAD to pay $40 to apply and either be denied or approved. Sorry no not spending $40 with out all the facts. You people should all get together and take out a class action! read more

NEVER RENT FROM THEM!!!!!!!well now that I have my security deposit back and they cant hold it hostage anymore I will express my honest opinion about fast train property management I have been a tenant of theirs for little over two year let me list a few points about fast train the sweet lady at the front is nice till in your in a lease with them she is a mean woman I have taken shit from her since the day I got my rental house she will talk down to you like you are nothing secondly if you have an issue with your house your better off doing it yourself I had a rotten tree in my backyard that was a fall risk for my house took almost a year and a lot of complaints later they finally took it down, and for a year and half I woke up every morning to the sounds of squirrels running through my attic I complained and they sent one pest control guy who came and did one visit during that time he told me I was wrong even though i told him I have seen squirrels climb through roof into the attic said he would return he never did and the squirrels still run loose in the attic to this day most likely because fast train never fixed the problem oh and the squirrels were their when the previous tenant was there before me I anytime you have a disagreement with them they will tell you deal with it and if you don't they'll take your deposit we cleaned our home far better than when it was handed over to us even getting my family that came up to vacation to help us clean I will admit we didn't get the blinds dusted and the inspector said don't worry there will be construction crews in there after we leave so don't worry about them being dirty after three weeks of me vacating the property and after calling them numerous times because we needed the money for bills they tell me I will be getting half my deposit back because they hired professional cleaners to come clean the house when I tried to call the person who did the cleaning the number listed was no longer in service please my fellow soldiers don't fall prey to these people if anyone wants to know anything else about fast train please email me I have plenty of stuff to tell you besides all this none of this is being hateful towards fast train these are actual things that have happened while living at there property read more

I really wish I could leave 0 stars as one star is far too many. The fast train office staff is quite pleasant when you first go in and want to get a lease. Once you sign the lease though, all that phony niceness disappears. Calling them about anything, like fixing plumbing or a hot water heater not working, results in the staff trying to make you feel like an idiot for calling them. I'm sorry but when there are issues with the rental who are you going to call but the management agency? It's amazing how no matter what time of day you call, or what about, they never have time to help you and rush you off the phone. They have never returned any calls when we have left messages. Absolutely the worst rental experience of my life. I can't possibly warn you enough to STAY AWAY from fast train! I feel horrible for my family having to endure fast train. Luckily I came under orders and we were able to break our lease. On that point, luckily I had the forethought to take photos of everything and document everything on move in! I guess they 'lost' our move in inspection and wanted to charge us for every single scratch. And they were MAD when I pulled out a copy of the move in inspection and nearly 200 photos on my laptop. I will start out by saying I never write reviews for companies, good or bad. This is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with! Which is saying a lot since being in the Army for 9 years I have moved quite a few times and dealt with many companies. They would take weeks to reply to simple maintenance issues. Then they would say they would send someone out soon, but it was all lies. Only after weeks of hounding would they finally take care of an issue or say "the property owner does not want to spend the money on it". Also, the house was in better shape when we moved out than when we moved in and they wanted to charge us for minute things. Horrible company, horrible people. HORRIBLE!!!! read more

I rented a house through Fast Train for approximately nine months. I had to move and utilized the military clause in the lease agreement and gave a sixty day notice. Prior to moving out the carpets were professionally cleaned, a receipt was provided to Fast Train, and the rest of the house was cleaned by myself and my wife. A move out inspection was performed by a Fast Train representative, photos were taken, and documentation was signed by myself and the representative declaring that there were no deficiencies that would result in forfeiting any portion of our security deposit. Several days later we receive an email from the same Fast Train representative stating that we would receive $1,150 back for our security deposit and nothing else would be taken out. Over a month after moving out we received our security deposit with a statement of charges for $175 cleaning fee. I called Fast Train to dispute this fee but was told they were busy and would call me back. They have not called back. A cleaning fee was never discussed with myself or my wife and we have written documentation and photos signed to indicate we returned the house back to its original state. I should not have to pay for any further cleaning especially after Fast Train accepted the house in the clean state my wife and I left it in. To seek repayment I would have to go to small claims court in Clarksville, TN but they know I would spend too much money traveling from Anchorage, Ak to recoup what they have taken from me. This is a predatory technique used against military members because they know it's not enough money to fight for in court. read more

We rented a little house in late fall less than a year ago, it's an older home and the owner recently acquired the house so we ended up running in to a multitude of issues. Between hotel stays because of no heat and flooding, then a nasty stanky smell infiltrating the house as soon as it got hot outside (rotten guy under the home from the flooding) we have been exhausted trying to settle. It's almost been a year and they finally said they think the house is a bust and that they are willing to let us break the lease. Only we don't want that at all. Fast train has been amazing. They do have a response time issue but every time I call I am met with a very understanding and kind person. They get that we've done all we can to make the house work and it's now out of our hands. We are going to move a little further from work and school than we'd like just to stay with fast train. As a homeowner, Fast Train has been managing our home (we are a military family) for the past 6 yrs. I know whenever things break they are quick to notify me and send out a technician to repair the issue. I've read negative reviews regarding renters stating their rude and slow to fix the problem. As an owner I find them quite pleasant and quick to resolve issues regarding my home. Maybe the issue is the owners and not the management company..they have to get things approve through the owners before they can fix the issues. Do not rent from them they will claim to be very helpful until it is time to do so. I just moved from one of their properties and it took them well after 30 days to send me invoices for damages I signed on the move out inspection in March. Also 2 months later they now claim I let my cat pee all over the house and fed cats under the house. According to them this has resulted in a strong ammonia smell in the house and they want to charge me almost four grand to restore the house via a company that specializes in it. just looked at the house today and I don't smell, nor does my wife, a strong urine filled ammonia pungent house. My wife told one of the managers that came out she can't smell it and the manager just did a snarky laugh. They also told me that if I can't smell it then I must be used to it. I don't know why these companies are aloud to exist especially so close to a military post where they can prey on soldiers by wanting to charge them 3 months of their paycheck for a damage that doesn't exist. Unless you want a migraine don't rent from them and hopefully you gave a savings account for when you try to clear them when you move. read more
