You will wonder why you never knew or went to this place before the minute you walk in the door. You will smell the nuts being roasted downstairs, you will delight in how beautiful and immaculate this boutique store is, you will marvel at how delicious the chocolate or one of the many nut butters are when you sample a piece, you will rejoice that their packaging is gorgeous and they will ship if for you or that you can pick out one of the many baskets and make up your own treat! AND the price won't kill you. I have sent these as business gifts, as well as family and friends.Unless there is a nut allergy - it's really the perfect gift! Healthy, fun and gorgeous. This husband and wife team have been doing this since 1990 and they got it down! They have stores in Watertown and Boston. It was quite a popular destination around the holidays. Thank goodness for the "take-a-number" system a la the grocery store deli. It gives you a chance to look around while waiting for service. I bought a 3 part basket with nuts and mix as a hostess gift. It was demolished during appetizers on Christmas Day. For my father, I bought a dried fruit tin - he's a big fan of dried fruit - go fig. The presentation was wonderful and it looks like it will keep well. Definitely looking forward to using them again for gifts, etc. read more

This shop is easy to reach via the #71 bus, or by bike. Arriving by car can be tricky, with just a handful of metered spots nearby. But perseverance and good humor will pay off. Fastachi gives the impression of a clean, modern shop and every time I have gone there I have had the full attention of its polite, friendly, professional staff. I am the weak link, ironically--dazzled by the appealing nut mixtures. In my enchanted state, I have yet to venture beyond the combinations displayed in front of me as I walk in. To the usual-suspect nuts dried fruits, wasabi peas, and corn nuts have been carefully added, producing various tasty mixes that have brightened many a snack-time. I have yet to venture into the dried fruit options at one end of the shop, not to mention the chocolates at the other. The nuts are sold by weight, spooned up in the amount of your choice. Sometimes I have brought my own container, seized by environmental conscience, and my server has filled it without hesitation, treating it with the respect given to their own containers. Rather than take home another plastic bucket, I have received my own container back, replenished and anointed with a crisp sticker, and left with my conscience intact. Fastachi nuts are sold at Cardullo's and Formaggio kitchen, among other places. But buying them directly adds to the experience. The nuts are roasted frequently, I believe on site. In fact, I would go there just for the smell, which transports me to other scenes I can't quite place. The circus, or the circus of my imagination. read more

This is a fabulous store...don't know anything like it anywhere else. They roast their own nuts and carry lots of gormet chocolates and candies and spreads. When you send holiday baskets they start sending you the catalog a few days before Thanksgiving. It's relatively inexpensive to have it shipped, and when you order ahead they make sure to package it so it's the freshest possible. I'm sending a basket to Philly for Thanksgiving, so I don't have to carry it on the plane. I'd rather pay $9 than have TSA X-Ray my nuts. read more

Great assortment of nuts, chocolates, and other gourmet foods. We got nuts and a few truffles to sample. The store is very nice on the interior and appealing. The staff didn't put any pressure on us, which I like. Although, they also didn't offer us any samples which I was surprised about. It seems like offering a cashew is a good idea considering the potential sale it could drum up. We definitely will be coming back for a nice treat, or when putting together a present for a food-lover. read more

WOW what a gem in Watertown. The nuts are incredible, and not overpriced like you would expect for a boutique shop. I came home with a container of wasabi soy nuts, a container of mixed nuts, roasted salted almonds (best ever), peanuts rolled in sesame seeds, a bag of sunflower seeds, and 2 pieces of chocolate for $20. They have some really nifty treats here. If you are allergic to nuts, don't go near the place, cause that's what they got. In all kinds & varieties, but even better they also have chocolate. They have such good quality stuff that's it worth paying extra for it. It's so pretty in there you almost don't want to touch anything. If you want to impress someone, this is where you go to get it. So glad my friend gave me a gift box from this place for my birthday a few years ago or I wouldn't have known it existed. Then Red Lentil opened next door & it's like I have to go to both always. I like buying gifts at Fastachi. They have tasty fresh nut mixes and wonderful handmade chocolates including a wide selection of white chocolate treats. I love their cranberry nut mix and my family is always asking me for their wasabi nut mix They do a gorgeous job of packaging what you select and have many baskets, gift bags and containers for you to create a gift. I am not giving Fastachi five stars because their pre-packaged chocolates, dried fruit and candy. These items are expensive and a couple of times they have not been fresh and when I mentioned this they apologized but told me I should have bought their own products. I tend to think anything being sold in a shop is the shop's product so I was so a little put off by this. I just no longer buy anything pre-made there and stick to what they make in house. Try Fastachi the next time you want to give a food gift. read more

I stopped in here with a friend after reading all the great reviews. The wrapped chocolates that they import were good. But the chocolates produced on site were just average. Plus I got some unsalted cashews. The first time I ate some of them at home I felt really sick, but dismissed it as something else. Then when I felt really sick after the second time I ate some of them, I tossed the rest. Won't be coming back here. read more

Well, finally those of us in Boston have a top-notch retailer of nuts and chocolates that's truly high-end enough to send as gifts for special occasions. Save a few bucks by shipping it yourself. Regardless, these nuts and chocolates are some of the finest I've ever had. The nuts are especially delicious. We love the corn nuts, pistachios and special mixes (there's a fiesta mix that's full of sweet dried fruits and that's my fav). I've ordered plenty of nuts online, as well as received them as gifts, and Fastachi blows them all away. The chocolates are a real surprise - some of the best I've had domestically. They aren't quite European quality, but you'd have to go to Burdick's in Harvard Square to get anything better around here. read more

This is such a fun shop!! I went over the weekend for the first time and I had a really difficult time controlling myself and not buying everything! The dark chocolate sea salt caramels are amazing. The caramel is soft and has the perfect amount of salt. I honestly didn't think the prices were outrageous either. I'm sure some things are more expensive than others but I feel like I left with a decent amount of snacks and paid less than $30 for it all. It's a great place to go if you need to get a hostess gift, boss gift, really any gift for any situation where you're unsure what to bring/give. read more

My neighbor gave me a "thank you" container of mix Nuts from Fastachi's in Watertown, MA. It was a silver Tin of Cashews, Almonds, Cashews & the most delicious mixture of Cranberry nut delight. They were so good that I ordered more for myself, my son's birthday, and for my daughter & fiancé for Valentine's Day. Some people say, their products are expensive, but trust me, they are worth every penny. They use the highest quality of Nuts. They make a great gift for Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Mother's day, Thanksgiving or Christmas ... even a "Congratulations on your new home". Their customer service is the best. Fastachi is a great place to go for gifts. They have a wide selection of baskets and boxes and they do a wonderful job of wrapping - beautiful presentation. The chocolate is phenomenal. They have a wide variety and it's so beautifully fresh. My mother-in-law and I are huge fans of the dark chocolate bark with cranberries. The truffles are simply to die for, but so decadent I can generally only eat one per sitting. Which is really just as well! It's fairly pricey, but well worth it. read more

Here's an interesting story. Obviously the product is excellent. When I went inside to make a big order, everyone was polite, accommodating, professional. It was a large order -- a basketful of nuts and chocolate costing $167. I asked them to deliver it to a nursing home in Needham that cared for my wife for two years before her recent death. That was Wednesday. They said it would arrive the next day. It did not. BUT HERE'S THE WORST PART. I was very worried about a perishable product arriving late, so I CALLED FASTACHI yesterday, pressed the key to get to CUSTOMER SERVICE, and they said to leave a message and they would get back ASAP. I did leave a message and got no response. I called again yesterday (FRIDAY) and got to make another voice message to which I have yet (SATURDAY) gotten response. All I wanted was to track the package. I called again today. Same thing. Spending that kind of money to deliver to a nursing home and then getting NO RESPONSE from Fastachi was immensely frustrating, as I'm sure you can imagine. Apparently the package was delivered a day late, but the Home says they don't know where it is. So while it seems it made it to the Home, it's lingering in some wrong office there, rotting. All of which I'm sure you find fascinating. The biggest beef I have with this small store is that THEY DO NOT RETURN CUSTOMERS' PHONE CALLS, NO MATTER HOW IMPORTANT. I WOULD NEVER TRUST THEMT TO DELIVER AGAIN, AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WON'T PATRONIZE SUCH AN INCOMPETENT STORE. read more

I absolutely love this place. The nuts are delicious and the chocolates are to die for. Aside from that, the service is incredible. I asked a girl to make me 10 bags with 5$ worth of nuts, knowing that my request was borderline ridiculous and I tried to be very apologetic, but to my surprise she was so nice and helpful about it... Even apologizing that she took so long (she didn't even take very long btw!). You know when a worker says "it's no problem" but makes it a point to let you know that it clearly is a problem?... Well at fastachi they say say "no problem" and they really do mean it!! The girls behind the counter are so lovely and I am just really floored by the service and the food! read more

My first experience with Fastachi's pistachios was incredible. They were huge, sweet and fresh. The best pistachios I'd ever eaten. Worth their high price (get what you pay for?). Though my most recent experience was much different. Those pistachios were just average in size and taste. If my first experience was a 5+, my second was a 3 at best. Why the difference? Well, my first purchase was in March of 2017 and my last order was in December of 2017. A quick internet search showed pistachio harvesting generally takes place in February. If that is indeed the reason for the drop in quality, then my future Fastachi's pistachios will be purchased in March. We'll see what March of 2018 brings : ) read more

Wonderful selection of nuts and chocolates, and quality of everything I've tried (various nut butters, mixed nuts, and various chocolates) is excellent! The pecan butter is absolutely heavenly. The only ingredient in this magical stuff is roasted pecans. I could devour an entire container in one sitting with a spoon (so far have issued self control so that I only have two tablespoons), and then fall into an omega 3/6/9-induced state of bliss and be happy all day. read more

Fastachi is a great place to pick up a gift. I was looking for a different type of gift other than flowers or an edible arrangement. I found the reviews for Fastachi on yelp, and wanted to give this place a try. Although I've lived in Watertown for years, I had never been inside this shop. I went into the shop and was the only customer with 2 workers perched behind the counter. I started looking around but got a bit overwhelmed with my options - baskets, trays, tins, make your own, buy pre assembled, etc. I wasn't sure what I should do so I asked the girl at the counter for some help. She didn't seem interested in helping me at all. Finally she showed me some baskets and gave me a quick run down of my options but wasn't offering any suggestions of what was popular or an item not to miss. I decided on the quattro gift tray and I think it looks great. I'm hoping that it tastes as good as it looks, unfortunately I didn't get anything for myself while I was there. I will have to go back to try out some of their nut mixes and dried fruit. read more
