I love this place!! I stopped in when spending a week in Boston to get items to freeze for fall when I was done traveling. I started defrosting them this week and am so impressed!! The rolls I bought are so soft and fluffy. The cinnamon cookies are melt in your mouth delicious. It's tough to find nut free baked goods that actually are delicious but this place nailed it! I also tried the flatbread crisps in everything flavor and they were really flavorful. Five stars for food and friendliness as I had a ton of questions. I'll be back!

Reviewing this place on every site I go to. The second my party took a bite of the cake we were blown away! I ordered chocolate with chocolate mousse, raspberry frosting (!!!!) And chocolate ganache. The raspberry frosting had such great flavour! Like, I can't even properly explain how great this cake tasted. I would order from here even if their weren't lactose free people eating it. I ordered over the phone and just said it was for a 31 yo man so just modern decoration. They did a phenomenal job and were an absolute pleasure to work with. I haven't been in the store, but my boyfriend picked up some of their pound cake/breads and they are also delicious. So happy to have found this place!

Thank you for creating this delicious chocolate chip cookie cake for my husband's special birthday ! The orange race car was absolutely perfect! It tasted as good as it looks! Your cakes, muffins, half moons, and rugulach are the very best!

Kosher Jewish bakery that's also nut-free and vegan, though I'm not sure if vegan extends to all of the items. Rugelach: If all items are vegan, that would explain the rugelach flavor coming mostly from sugar, and not butter like at the best Jewish bakeries in NYC. The texture and dough flavor is similar to a Dunkin Donuts chocolate chip muffin top--which ain't bad, but ain't NYC rugelach. Fillings were the highlight, with a chewy gel on the raspberry and a dark chocolate with intensity. Gingerbread "Person": Yup, I guess this is an equal opportunity bake shop. Closer to a cookie texture, and thinner, than the classic bendable/chewy gingerbread man, and no raisins. Pleasant enough, but glad we bought only one. Babka: This is what we came for, but it was pre-packaged on the shelf and not in the case. It had the appearance of a grocery store version, so we passed. Service: Several reviews mention rudeness, but that was not even close to the case on our Sunday morning visit.

My office contained people with both dairy and nut allergies, so it was often difficult to find a bakery that could appease everyone. Luckily, if you drive down Commenwealth Ave in Newton the sign says it all... Dairy-free Nut-free Bakery. They even often offer egg-free and vegan pastries which can be even harder to find. So now you might be thinking, can a nut-free dairy-free Bakeshop even be good? YESS!!! I felt like the true test would be can they make a butter, flakey croissant without real butter.. they can! Everything I've had there has been delicious, but may favorites are: Bags of assorted rugelach Fruit pies (and they do Pumpkin for Thanksgiving) Challahs: sweet, raisin, whole wheat, etc Quiches (SO good) Mac & Cheese (dairy-free and delicious) Baguettes (great flavor and texture) Vegetable Pot Pies Blueberry Muffins Birthday Cakes With coronavirus, they set up online ordering and Missy of their menu can be delivered and it came quickly and so fresh. You can also call and preorder to pick up. If you don't preorder, they usually have a decent line outside and serve one person at a time. If you celebrate Jewish holidays, be sure to preorder all of their traditional Jewish foods like Hanukkah Cookies, Pesach Desserts, and honey cakes for Rosh Hashanah.

This place is the most amazing bakery for cakes, and the ONLY place I go to for my son's birthday cakes. Anne (she's so nice) does an incredible job every year decorating his cakes and they are the only cakes that I've ever had (egg free and dairy free chocolate cake) that actually taste like delicious cake!! I promise you won't be able to tell that there's no dairy or egg! I've personally tried baking vegan items for my son and they always end up tasting just so-so. I love eating Blackers cakes and my son literally licks his fingers after eating it too. I am so thankful to have a local bakery that we can go to that is safe and delicious for my son!

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

After ordering takeout today, I can say that it's decent but nothing out of the ordinary. I am also not sure how kosher other Chinese takeout is, so if this makes Chinese takeout accessible to kosher communities that other place do not, that would be a huge plus also. I ordered the Peking Ravioli and a Wonton Soup and have some mixed feedback. First, the Wonton Soup was not my favorite. I'd probably give it a 3/5 because the wontons were very doughy and not filled with much meat at all. The soup was salty but somehow also had a taste that reminded me of playdough, so it was a bit unpleasant. I really love wontons so I was a bit sad at the result of this dish. Then, the Peking Ravioli was great. The dough was thick and not too greasy even though it was pan fried, and the meat was delicious and had a lot of juice oozing out in the filling. A lot of places make their dumplings really thing nowadays, and I really prefer the doughier fried dumplings from Kosher Wok. This dish would get a 5/5. Now, I didn't try any of the main courses, but judging from the photos, they look pretty solid. I'd definitely try this place again, but for this round the subpar wonton soup brings the overall score to a 4/5

Even the cook brought out a fan to cool his table as staff had their lunch. At least he was cooled done a bit while sweated like steer. Well , was committed ; so too late to convert to a take out meal in my Lamborghini or someone's else's. I ordered the ribs on spinach, pork egg rice, spinach and egg dumplings pan fried . The ribs were tender, actually very good in a flavorful sauce. The spinach in the sauce excellent ... I needed a lot more spinach. The egg pork rice was freshly prepared and was very good . The spinach egg dumplings were a first time for me type experience and these were excellent... pan seared perfect fresh tasting... these would be good for breakfast with a breakfast maple sauce on a waffle and bowl of fruit...or a spinach smoothie. My ice water melted from the heat . My dumplings would have steamed themselves in the heat. This visit was much improved since a prior visit months back. Ribs were beyond my expectations. Service was fast. I wanted soup and a side app included in the lunch special. I have been to their Cambridge location and that is excellent .

The front door was very hard to open went inside. They had a really nice clean seating area . Everything was pre-done so plates and silverware. We're already on tables done ahead of time. Not sure if that's good or bad depends on how long they sit out in the open I would've liked to have ordered something that had all a complete meal together, but I missed the luncheon Specials which made or forced me to order separately. It came out very quickly all packaged in the bag cause I was taking out and I paid and when I paid, I almost passed out with the price. I'll add the slip to the review out of the entire meal. I had the crab Rangoon when I was in my car cause I was hungry. I didn't feel like staying at the restaurant the crab Rangoon were excellent waited till I got home for the entire rest of the meal. Add a whole container of pork fried rice started to have a little bit on that one and I didn't find any pork in it, but I did have some vegetable stuff in it so that was kinda OK but it'd be nice to have pork unless it's at the bottom, I haven't gotten that far The general Gau's chicken was very rubbery and it all stuck together as one clump in my takeout not sure if it would've been any better eating in the restaurant but I've had some very good takeout from other restaurants and this just wasn't it like I said the chicken in it was very rubbery and stringy. It did have broccoli three pieces in the takeout. What I really was looking for was one single container with general gau's chicken Some pork fried rice with a couple of crab Rangoon's. I'm not local, but I do travel there due to my jobs. This is one place. I probably won't make an appearance again due to the takeout quality of the meal. So if you're looking for a really good crab Rangoon, they definitely did a great job on that And maybe it would've been better as a eat in situation rather than a takeout situation
