For a walk-in clinic it has always a good experience. I don't expect miracles but yet I have always left better than when I got there. My husband was just recently seen and we had to return multiple times to complete paperwork for the hassle of workers comp. Sarah the tech/front desk and Indiria (not sure I spelled her name correctly)were awesome at helping speed the process and get what we needed efficiently and effectively with out delays!! Y'all rock! I will add there should be an actual doctor either present or on call to assist the NP on duty for the day for any unusual questions and or request out of the normal realm of experience or expertise. read more

First - YELP has the wrong name for this facility. This is St. David's | CareNow Urgent Care. This was my first time to this facility and the PA Marcel is rude with passive aggressive comments. The other staff were fine. When people are sick they don't need an added challenge with people like Marcel coming for them with their passive aggressive behavior. Nor can you trust your getting proper care when treated that way. This place sucks because of people like that who represent this facility. read more

It's urgent care and thats how it is!! The service was okay, check in for my appointment and 30 mins later I was seen or should I say my kid was seen, the staff was actually nice!! The reason for the 3 starts is the phone lines. I forgot to get a Doctor's note for my kid being out of school and when I try to call back lawdy 8 times and no answer and the hangup on the 20th ring!! I couldn't believe I had to get up and drive 22 mins to get a note!! Either they need to get another employee working the phones or just answer the phones!!! read more

We've used this place a few times, and besides extremely long waits for no apparent reason, they do a decent job. But now they are on the s@!# list. One of the reasons I liked this place is because you can schedule your own appointment online, which is super convenient. So I did that for my son who's been sick. Made an appointment for 8:45 in the morning, rush there to be there on time, get there, and the doors locked. Besides for a tiny paper sign in the window that says "clinic will close at 1 on 6/27" (this is 6/29), there's nothing else. I call their phone number, to get an automated message saying "this location is temporarily closed". Amazing. That would have really been great to know BEFORE coming all this way. Why the hell would you allow appointments to still be made, with ZERO mention of it being closed on the website? I get things can slip through the crack, but if you are a health care establishment, advertising 7 days a week, catering to walk ins AND with a fully functioning schedule-yourself service, how is this happening. So now me and my sick kid have to make other arrangements, wasting valuable time I DONT have. Screw this place. read more

Went this morning to see a PA ect for UTI symptoms and was greeted by receptionist. When she asked if she could help me and I explained why I wanted to see the PA she promptly and curtly said she had no appointments till tomorrow? I have been coming here for years on and off for the various allergies, cedar fever ect. Lately I did notice a complete change of staff, lots of new faces. But this is a urgent med and it has plastered across front walk'ins welcome - door displays: no appointment necessary. Sad to see this place go down as it has. I tried calling to speak to someone but unfortunately you get the computer run around. I left and came across Hiway 71 to Ally emergency. Been here 39 minutes and am already impressed with their professionalism. read more

Overcharged. My card clearly states a price for urgent care. They quadrupled that price and said they charge different. People were turned away while I was there. I had an appointment and wasn't seen at appointment time, and person after me was told it would be 4 hour wait. The nurses don't listen and are rude. It's hot in the office area breeds germs. Triage nurse is friendly. The nurse practitioner that sees you spends less than 2 mins with you and doesn't really listen. read more

Received excellent care for a cut finger, however, I returned in 11 days for stitch removal (they had not contacted me for a follow-up). Front desk people said they thought it was too late to bill BCBS, and I would find out later if they would bill me for the service of removing 6 stitches. I found out all right. First, they billed $124.00, then $75. I contacted BCBS and they told me they would have paid. Since I didn't pay the exorbitant fee for stich removal, their credit service has hounded me nonstop. By the way, most doctor facilities don't require payment for stich removal. They consider it follow-up care. I will never pay them and I will avoid ever going back there. Absolute shake-down. Told by front desk that my simple COVID rapid test would come at no charge to me after insurance. FastMed then bills me $300. After lengthy discussions with my insurance provider, I am told there should be no cost to me, and that the balance would be covered. Months later, I receive a letter from collections for $140. Pay attention to their closing time because their website allows you to schedule appointments for services even after they're closed. I scheduled an appointment for a pre-employment drug screening and when I got there they told me they stop taking samples after 3, even though their website allows you to schedule an appointment up to 7:45pm (when they are closed). My daughter and I came here stood in line for almost two hours in hopes of getting a COVID-19 test. We thought the test would be FREE since no one else is charging because some people aren't working and money isn't coming in. But NO this place is taking ADVANTAGE of people during these challenging times. $220 just for me. My daughter would've been charged $220 as well. I had a nasty upper respiratory infection for 3 weeks that I just could not get rid of. Had done Dr on Demand and taken steroids for 2 weeks, with no relief. Out of desperation, tried Fast Med due to Bronchitis. Was seen by a very pleasant PA who took the time to listen to me. She prescribed me a Z pack (Azithromycin) and a strong cough medicine. I was in and out in less than an hour. I had tried checking in online, but the app wasn't working. Overall was impressed at how quick I was seen and the service provided. read more

Good grief... Everything about my experience with this place was just awful. I took my daughter in on day 2 for what ended up being a 6 day stomach bug. They messed up our paperwork, made us wait for over an hour while other people kept going in front of us (even though we had an appointment and they did not). I had to go back three times to get the proper excused absence note from my daughter's school, and it's still not what I need. Apparently, it is their policy to not sign off on days prior to your visit. The only way I will ever go back is if it is a true emergency, and they are my one and only option. My advice is make an appointment and go see your GP. read more

I scheduled an appointment on line, these day's it's much easier! The waiting room is very small, the check in clerk was very nice and very helpful! Since we travel full time it can be difficult to get in any walk in clinic without a hassle. The only thing I would suggest is a good cleaning, especially the waiting room and bathroom! Don't go here for Covid testing!!! My husband and I were tested On the 24th, we were told it would be 3-5 days. It's now the 3rd and we still haven't heard from them 9 DAYS LATER! We need proof of the test results to get paid from work. Everyone else I know went to Physicians Premier Er and had their test results in 2 days! It's ridiculous. Went to this facility after getting intense abdominal pains. The staff is anything but friendly and asked for my weight and height to later write on a sticky note, rather than taking it. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity with excruciating amounts of pain, the nurse walked in, leaned on the counter and proceeded to ask what was wrong with me. After I described my pain she told me to take ibuprofen and I'd be "good to go." After almost 2 minutes, she walked out. However she did suggest I go to a different doctor; perhaps one who was willing to do their job. If there was a 0 star review, I wouldn't think twice about leaving it. I was disappointed to pay $120 and leave with the same amount of intense pain. Please save your money and avoid this facility. read more

Online check-in was confusing, and made me have to wait several hours which I have a feeling would not have been the case if I would have just went in. Worse, now I'm dealing with an obnoxious billing issue with them -- before my appointment, they couldn't tell me how much a simple "office visit" would cost. The website says the cash price would be $119, so I figured that it could not be more than that when billed through my insurance, which the person who answered the phone allowed me to believe when I expressed the thought. Now that I receive the $180 bill and call to find out what billing mistake was made, they tell me simply that any visit build through Blue Cross/Blue shield is billed at the $180 flat rate. Why couldn't they tell me that before? Deceptive practices!! I will never go there again!! read more

Horrible service. Had a schedule appointment on October 21st to have a Covid test done in order to attend a family wedding on Saturday. Went to the FastMed Bastrop location to be tested. Explained to the assistant why I was taking the test and do not have any symptoms. I also notified her that I'm vaccinated and did contract the virus 3 to 4 months ago. After answer me a few question she proceeded with testing me and told me it would take 15 for the rapid testing I took. 40 minutes later the technician comes in asking me if I had any symptoms and I responded with NO. I asked why are you asking me this when I explained to your assistant that I didn't. The technician then told me I tested positive for Covid. My response to him was there's no way I have Covid sir and can I see the test results myself. He said yes, I can see the test, but it has a faint light pink line which determines that I've tested positive. He then went on to explain that he had the two clerks up front to look at the test as well and they all jointly came to the decision tha I was positive. I asked again if he can show me the actual test showing the positive testing. When he came back with the test and presented it to me there were not any pink line on the test at all. When I questioned it he said during the time of testing there were a fade of pink line on it and must faded away. I then asked does this mean Covid fades away and never heard of this at all. I also explained when I did test positive months ago the line didn't fade nor did it disappear so I don't think the testing was done correctly and will go else where to be tested. The next morning I went to Victory Medical South explain my situation and experience I had at FastMed Bastrop. Got tested their and sure enough my test came back negative and had no sign of any pink line. I want to caution folks about FastMed because this can really affect someone's life getting incorrect test results from them when it comes to Covid testing. read more

Went in months ago for a Covid test (we had been sending employees to Fast Med) and they tried to charge me for an urgent care visit. They refunded it when I called from the room I was waiting in. Went in today to do another test and again they tried to charge me when I questioned the girl at check in she said insurance didn't fully cover the test. Yet when going to another urgent care it was fully covered. FastMed is no longer my urgent care go to. read more

Do not contact their customer relations. I was thinking maybe they would acknowledge that they screwed up when billing my insurance company by saying their nurse was not a preferred provider and sending me a large bill when according to their own personnel they were a preferred provider and my co-pay (paid at time of visit) was all I owed. Instead, they used the contact to rebill me for the full amount and presumably reset the 7 year clock on my damaged credit report. In my previous post I alluded to their incompetence in treating my family, but let me elaborate: a family member was bedridden in excruciating pain for almost a year because they over-prescribed antibiotics and the side effects that came with their mistake. Went in and explained to the nurse what was wrong (sinus infection), told her I was pregnant, due date, ETC. Novacks(?) came in and immediately offered me a steroid shot, pills, etc. It wasn't until I informed her that I was pregnant that she said she couldn't do anything. If I hadn't know any better, she could have seriously harmed myself and my baby! Not only that, she over-prescribed my daughter by two times the dosage! The pharmacist caught it! She would've been left with severe stomach pains and diarrhea or worse! I will not be seeing her again. read more

The wait time was very long, which would not have been a problem, if they had actually treated her , at some point.. once taken into a room, they took her BP,temp, and a urine sample , was then told that she needed to go to ER, as she " MIGHT " have uti, but they were not set up to do labs??? In a nut shell , they did not provide any service, yet , they billed Medicare and my mother. Save money and time and go straight to ER. In reading reviews, this not an uncommon occurrence with this location. I am sure I will get the token apology, from firstmed , that they use on all complaints, just inserting my name. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR SICK ONES TO THIS PLACE. Took my very sick wife to be seen by a doctor. Got stuck with this young P.A. My wife has had asthma since the age of 2. She knows herself better than anyone. That young p.a. got her feelings hurt when we told her she was wrong in her diagnose, and she let my wife out of their facility refusing to finish up the consultation. She took it so personal that we knew better and was completely unprofessional. All the while, she collected from our insurance. We will fight that one as well. read more

In the midst of flu season, my son and I walked in to be seen for flu-like symptoms. The lobby had a few other patients waiting, so I anticipated a wait. There was only one check-in clerk at the time, so it was taking her a fair bit of time to verify insurance and paperwork, but after a bit of a wait, wee were called back to triage to get our vitals and then taken to an exam room. Within just a few mins, we were seen, examined, and diagnosed by a very pleasant woman (I believe she's a PA?) we have seen before at previous visits. We wrapped up our visit, got a medical note for school, and were on our way. Very glad to have this urgent care available in Bastrop. read more

I took my husband here for back pain and PA Chelsea was great. Took her time with us and answered all of my husbands questions. However the two girls at the front desk were rude, I believe their names were Alison and Britney. Alison looked like she was hungover and anytime I asked her a question she was short and rude. Britney was on her phone and if Alison asked her a question she was short and rude. They don't belong at the front desk with those attitudes. Even the medical assistant girl was very nice to us, wish I had caught her name. She was a short haired Hispanic girl. I had been here before for myself and my daughter and had never experienced rude front desk staff. I would go back to this place if the front staff wasn't so rude. read more

This place is always packed. Maybe because it's the only place with this type of service in the area. It feels dirty. Maybe because it's always packed with sick people. The wait is always FOREVER. We've been several times and never seen an actual doctor. I am not sure if they have one. They always tell us it's a P.A. on staff. Whatever. Our last visit will be the last time we give this place a dime. Took our 1.5 year old in who was running fever, had a slight rash and acted like it hurt to swallow. P.A. Took one look at his throat and said "oh it's Strep." I asked if they were going to do a strep test to confirm and she said "Oh I don't need to. I know Strep when I see it." So they sent us off with a script for antibiotics. A few days later we ended up in ER because my son was wheezing and he hadn't gotten any better. Turns out he had croup and Hand Foot Mouth. Not Strep. They were surprised any clinic would diagnose a patient that young with strep without a strep test to confirm considering he's so young. It's rare under 2 would be diagnosed with strep. Clearly this place has no clue what the hell they're doing with children. One of the few tests you can use to confirm a diagnosis and they didn't do it. When I called to complain about all of this, the money, misdiagnosis, the fact my son was on antibiotics without reason (which also gave him diarrhea) of this the director just stated that diarrhea was a side effect of the antibiotic which I replied would be fine if he actually had strep and needed them. I asked for a follow up call after they reported it and never heard back. Don't waste your time here. They don't care. It's a revolving door and their best guess which is about as good as a pair of shorts in a blizzard. Horrible facility. read more

I entered for a pre-employment drug screening. I told them that when I got to the counter. I was told to fill out all the forms like I was a regular patient. I asked if it was necessary because I was only there for a drug screen. I was told yes and if I refused, they would send a fail result to my potential employer. That was the first threat. They already had my ID and refused to return it. The lobby was full and I stated I would wait outside for my turn. They again threatened to send a fail result to my employer. I wasn't allowed to hold the door for a man on crutches, because of I stepped outside they again told me they'd fail me. So I called HR and informed them of how I was being treated, asked to be rescheduled at another place. The clinic said if I left without giving a sample, they would fail me. I ended up leaving without giving a sample because HR told me I'd be scheduled somewhere else this "clinic" sounded determined to fail me no matter what. They didn't get a sample, didn't have anything to test, and sent a fail result to the employer anyway. This should have been a "no sample given", but they chose to lie. They cost me the job offer. Don't go here for anything. read more

My mom fell backwards and landed on her wrist a week ago. She came in and waited about a total of two hours just to be seen by a doctor. She finally got her wrist looked at and the doctor said it was not broken just badly bruised. Well my Mom was complaining that it hurt very bad. She went to her doctor a few days later to get it looked at and her wrist was diagnosed that it was broken. I feel like y'all at Fast Med should of done a scan or look at it better so my Mom wouldn't have been misdiagnosed. read more

I will not be returning to this place for medical care for myself or my family. I took my husband in to be tested for the flu. He had the symptoms and I wanted him to be tested to make sure. I wanted to find out for peace of mind. 2 hours and $75 dollars later the physician assistant told us that she didn't think he had the flu and could not test him because they had run out of flu tests! I am furious that we were not told to begin with that there were no flu tests. I never would have agreed to the copay or waited to be seen. read more

Fastmed Urgent Care is fairly new, it used to be Texas Urgent Care. Texas Urgent Care was fabulous, they never took long and there was always enough staff to keep the line moving. Unfortunately they renamed and with the change came some faults. Today, my mom and I both decided to come to Fastmed due to some cold like symptoms. We waited in the waiting room for about an hour and forty-five minutes. Along with us there were several other patients. Then we sat in the exam room for an additional 30 minutes. WOW! read more

THE FRONT DESK GIRLS COULD NOT BE ANY RUDER IF THEY TRIED!!!!! Okay so to start this off I usually go to my normal provider but she recently quit. I have been having some problems and have been here 3 times in the past week. The provider here is AWESOME! We've had some issues with a diagnosis but none the less she is great. The only reason I am even writing this review is because of how AWFUL THE FRONT DESK WOMEN ARE! They are so rude! I called once and was trying to ask questions and she cut me off and told me that I just needed to come in. Then when I got there the entire time they were dealing with me they had such a rude look on their faces. They were short with everything they said and just rude for absolutely no reason at all! Then the second time I came back because my symptoms worsened I was paying and said "is there any way this could be waived since I was just here 2 days ago". One of them popped off about how no this was something different blah blah blah. RUDE AGAIN! Once again the entire time I was there when they spoke to me they had such rude looks. Then I called the next day for test results and they were like we will call you for that. Then I said okay and asked if could speak to the provider because my symptoms had gotten even worse. She rudely said no and that all she could do was take a message. So I start to tell her and tell her my name then she says "oh actually the lab called and your samples were messed up we need you to come in again" SO NOW I AM BEYOND PISSED. Clearly I have been in an extreme amount of pain and have already spent over 100 dollars by this time AND THIS GIRL DOESNT EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO CALL ME WHEN THE LAB CALLS AND TELLS HER THAT? So I go in to retake the pee test and I walk up and say "Hi my name is ________ I am here to retake my pee test. I was just on the phone with yall." She looks at me rudely and says okay did the provider need that? And then I said "No, I was just on the phone with you and apparently the lab couldn't use the other sample" So then shes like ohhhhh okay. And tells me to take a seat. From there my experience was good because of the provider and the nurses. I have been in so much pain recently and it really is aggravating to go somewhere that COSTS MORE THAN MY DOCTORS OFFICE and have to deal with such rude people while being sick. read more
