I have gone to other networks and will never go back to them as long as there is a St. David's nearby. I have never received surprise bills, and in fact, I have received refunds from them over the years when the final calculations came out. Even though this is only an ER, The good thing is they will transfer you if needed to the hospital without a surprise private ambulance bill. I arrived tonight with back pain and was seen very quickly. The nurses and Dr were all great. Personable, friendly, attentive. They listened to everything and made sure I got what I needed to overcome the unpleasantness of my condition. The room was not huge but a comfortable size. While I didn't really enjoy being there due to the pain and things going on, the staff makes it a pleasant environment. Thanks you St David's for providing this ER in Bastrop.

Due to my injury, the MRI was very uncomfortable but the gentleman giving me the MRI, Carlos, was very understanding and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. After completion of the MRI, I had some questions about the test and Carlos took time to explain it to me. Even though the test was uncomfortable, the staff at Longhorn Imaging made it bearable. Just walk in, tell the lovely, super friendly front desk staff your name, and done. I've visited mannnnnnnnnny times over the years and have never spent more than five minutes in the very large and clean waiting area. All of the techs are fabulous! Everything from routine imagining to diagnostic, they all go above and beyond to make me feel cared about and comfortable. With limited mobility, they are also very careful, patient, and eager to accommodate any of my needs (e.g., a step stool, removing my shoes for me, etc.). During MRIs they provide a new pair of no slip socks to keep the lil piggies warm (you get to keep them). And, they even cover my body with a cozy, heated blanket...very spa like! It's the small touches like these that make an uncomfortable, and sometimes a bit scary, process much more tolerable. I'm so grateful for everyone at ARA-WP. Best location in the ATX in my opinion. I…read morecalled first thing this morning to request an appointment and was informed that I could potentially be scheduled this afternoon if my referral was received and processed. After I was notified that my referral had been faxed, I called approximately 20 minutes later. I spoke with another representative who informed me that it would take 30 minutes to 1 hour for the referral to be processed. After waiting an hour, I called again and was told by yet another representative that my MRI could not be scheduled because the referral still needed to be processed and that it would take an additional 2-3 hours. I explained that this was my third call of the day and that each time I waited an average of 12 minutes before speaking with someone, only to receive different timeframes and no resolution. It felt like I was being asked to continue calling back rather than having the referral processed. The representative then stated, "Okay, I will process it," but while I was waiting, the call was disconnected. Approximately 10 seconds later, I received a text from Touchstone stating that my referral had been processed and that I could call to schedule my MRI. I called again, waited, and was eventually sent to voicemail. I called back and selected option 1 for the ordering physician/doctor line, but after several minutes of ringing, I was again prompted to leave a message. The entire experience has been extremely disappointing. The call center continued pushing my call to different people instead of resolving the issue. Since it is a call center, I was unable to work with the same person or request a specific representative who understands the situation. I feel as though the urgency of my healthcare needs was not taken seriously. This is not just a routine task--it involves my health and my life. As a nurse with 28 years of experience, I was very disappointed by the lack of communication, coordination, and compassion I experienced. If I am able to get my MRI scheduled, I hope the clinic staff will provide the level of professionalism, care, and patient-centered service that patients deserve. I entrusted my care to this organization and expected a much better experience.
