Made an appointment online for a simple drug screening at 5:00pm, 2 whole days prior to visiting. I show up on time and the receptionist tells me that it's going to be THIRTY MINUTES PAST MY APPOINTMENT TIME TO PEE IN A CUP. Because they "Only have one person working in the back." And also said "I just wanted to let you know before you check in, because if you leave before it's complete, it's an automatic fail." (So I have to potentially fail a drug screening due to time constraints because your business decides not to honor their appointments?) I live about an HOUR from this location and picked it because it would coincide with me getting off work and be in time to pick up my children. IT IS ABSOLUTELY PREPOSTEROUS TO ALLOW APPOINTMENTS AND THEN NOT HAVE the appropriate staff on file. I should have been contacted and let know they had no intention on staffing properly, and I would have chosen another location better suited to me and my needs. This urgent care misdiagnosed my daughter on Saturday , wrote the wrong prescription, and an incorrect prescription amount the pharmacy had to correct. We were able to bring her to her normal pediatrician on Monday for a correct diagnosis and prescription. To say we are upset is an understatement. No doctors! Unprofessional! Avoid at all costs if you need actual medical attention or medicine. All i got there was a very rude nurse (komal patel) who was afraid to prescribe me basic antibiotics but yet could not defend why. And there was no doctor to discuss this with. So, I've had to spend considerable time trying to get a refund - she did not even call the cough syrup into the pharmacy, and time and money going to a real doctor, since, as predicted, I am now way sicker now that the infection has settled back in my chest in all this cold rain, and I had to spend 4 days in bed missing work. Honestly, this is one of the most unprofessional businesses I've ever come across. Add to that, it is a medical clinic, where you are supposed to feel well taken care of. No one answers the phone. EVER. And then you go in there, and the staff is like, wow, we don't have enough staff. But There are 3 of them in the back eating lunch and laughing together. Not answering phones, not at the front desk checking anyone in. My daughter needed a pcr covid test to go back to school, which they were aware of. I had to go in person to ask because no one bothered to call me. They said oh sorry, we are so busy. We were one of two families in there . Went in this morning describing flu-like symptoms with an upcoming event that I wanted to be well for. They swabbed for covid and flu, both were negative. The provider recommended OTC meds when I was almost certain it was the flu. Fast forward two hours later and 4 people I was with this weekend have tested positive for flu. I thought surely I could call and explain the situation. Without having read these reviews, I am now SHOCKED that someone answered the phone at all. Said provider was busy and they would explain the situation and she might be able to help. Go pick up prescriptions 6 hours later. No tamiflu and now I've called 22 times and they won't answer the phone. Check in and out was super unprofessional. As other mentioned there was no one up front they were all in the back and you could hear their casual conversation. This place is an insurance farm collecting fees and copays. Care for the facility is quite lacking too as they have 5-6 stained ceiling tiles from leaks and seem to have a a water feature next to the reception desk that seems to be the only thing that isn't stained from water. The condition of the place says their property management is terrible, or the business doesn't care or perhaps both. Dark and dull, staff isn't helpful. If it needs to be said, I won't be back. I certainly won't be returning. read more

This urgent Care is now called CareNow. I went online today at 11:30 am schedule a "first available spot." I even called to make sure my request was received. The person I spoke with said "yes, I see you in our system. We should be calling you soon to get you in." It's now 9 pm and I never received a call or text. Luckily I reached out to Next Level Urgent Care (owned by Baylor Scott & White) and they saw me quickly! Don't bother with Care Now in Lakeway. Useless!! I was skeptical based on recent reviews but my experience could not have been better. My 4 year old was in need of a COVID PCR test to return back to daycare. There seem to be no legit "Rapid" PCR places. If there are, they are few and far between. So I settled on finding a place that could see us ASAP. That proved to be tough. EVERYTHING was booked at least three days out, until I found FastMed. Saturday night I was able to schedule appointment for Sunday morning. We arrived a few minutes early. Front desk receptionist was pleasant and processed our intake quickly. Within 5-10 minutes we were in a room and getting tested by the nurse. She said it would be 10 minutes for rapid test results and 5-7 days for PCR (we opted to get both tests). It was disappointing to hear PCR results would take that long, but that is due to the volume of tests going to the third party lab, not FastMed's fault. Doctor came in 10 minutes later with the rapid test results and she was negative. She further explained it would likely be more like 3-4 days for PCR results but they are overestimating because the lab volume changes daily. I can totally appreciate this approach. And that is the same amount of time (or better) for results if we had chosen another place with appointment three days out and 24-48 hours for results. The doctor chatted with my daughter for a couple of minutes; more like she listened to my daughter talk her ear off about wanting to become a doctor now! We were in and out in thirty minutes. I highly recommend this FastMed location for COVID testing! This is a tough time for all persons in the medical industry. Give grace and have patience. read more

I scheduled two COVID-19 tests through their website. Showed up for an 8:45am appointment yesterday. There's a sign on the door saying they are closed due to staffing issues. I had received no notification. I went back through their website to complain, and was helped to reschedule for today at 4:15pm. Show up today, clinic closed, same sign. Dumb me cut my finger using a mandoline slicer and had to go to urgent care because the cut wouldn't heal. Great time as everyone knows when urgent cares are being flocked by covid patients. Within 10 min of walking in, I was seen by a practitioner who reassured me that the cut was not deep enough to get stitches. The practitioner was very courteous - which is quite a rarity during these stressful times at clinics due to COVID. I'm very happy that I was able to get in quickly, seen, and out within a short time. I think the wait times are great and it's reassuring to know that I have a go-to-stop for emergencies in case of medical emergencies. I will definitely have fastmed as the first stop of choice if I need to go to an urgent care. read more

The front desk lady was extremely rude the entire time we were in the building. When she told us if we didn't mind to put on a mask, in a joking manner I said yes I do mind but I'll still put it on. Her response was "If you have a problem with it then leave." After, she brought back 3 other people that came in after us. She completely ignored us the entire time. When my boyfriend went to go out to the car for his airpods( because the wait was extremely long for No one even being in lobby), she told him "don't leave, I'll mark you as a refusal." I had an ear infection that I'd been battling for a week. I thought I had it under control, but then I woke up to raging pain. I admitted defeat, my regular doctor and staff were unavailable on a Friday morning or afternoon. They recommended FastMed Urgent Care to be seen quickly. I called FastMed to check availability and to see whether the charges would be like doctor visit or like ER visit. (If you've ever been surprised by what you thought was an urgent doctor visit but got charged for ER, you know what I'm talking about.) Anyway: fast, efficient, cordial staff. Each visit, I was impressed by the kindness of the staff, and thoroughly appreciated their knowledge and communication with me in the testing rooms and at payout. I have no idea how they bill for covid antigen tests because they billed me $300 for 15 min antigen test! Later I found out its the same at home test they sell at HEB and CVS pharmacy that costs $10 per test. I get covid PCR test regularly and each time it's below $40. What kind of exceptional service do they provide where they charge $300 per test and walkout after half an hour! They also claim they have extended hours but they don't. The absolute worst billing/accounting system I've ever seen. I had a COVID test in June, 2020, they took my insurance, I paid my copay. One year later despite repeated phone calls to the accounting department for the outstanding balance, they never bothered to fix what was an issue on their end. I have tried to fix this now for over a year, made repeated phone calls and go no where. Now they've reported me to a credit bureau. Go anywhere else but here! Service was only adequate. Cost to establish a patient profile was exorbitant. The serious problems were with billing. And there is NO WAY to resolve anything or even ask questions because nobody returns phone calls! I left 4 messages and waited each time for the return call that is promised in 24 hours. NEVER did I receive a return call. They sent me to collections without using correct insurance information. The statements say we had no insurance, although they were given correct insurance information. But the worst part is no attempt to even communicate or address questions. Apparently they much prefer to simply turn accounts over to collection agencies. read more

This is the 4th day and I still did not get my COVID results. If you are looking for 24-48hr results then this is not the place.

Don't go to this clinic if you don't want to overpay for a Covid19 test. They never told us the price of the test and later they charged us $75 per test with insurance, if you don't have insurance you will pay $199. And they won't even send you a paper copy of your test or email. They just call you and if you want a printed copy you will need to call another number and request it. CVS got the test free and yo can print the results, CVS is taking the same amount of days to have your results ready. My husband went to Vik Clinic and it was a total different experience. Way more affordable and people concerned more about your health than the $$ they can get out of the situation. Look for other options first. read more

Ridiculous! My husband had an appointment for his swollen ankle. They called to cancel appointment because X-ray tech was out for the day. Totally fine, he rescheduled appointment for the next day. He confirmed tech would be available before scheduling. Office manager confirmed a technician would be in on Saturday. Appointment was scheduled. My husband showed up on time. He was told he did not have an appointment. He was also told X-ray machine was not working. I called back 3 times to find out what was going on. I have taken kids here for multiple minor things (earwax buildup, sports physicals, etc.) and always had good, professional experience with quality care, and fast. I recently needed care and had the same great experience. I drive past multiple other similar urgent care centers to go to this location because it is consistently so good. I know I will be treated well by smart, caring nurses and doctors. Takes my insurance (Aetna). Often no wait or little wait. Glad that FastMed in Lakeway is here for the community. read more

Update 10/6/19 since my initial review below, I've visited this location several times and while the office is still a bit drab, I couldn't be happier with the staff and provider (Clint). The customer service makes up for the facility. They do have two chairs in the rooms now. Great option when Pediatrician is closed. FYI - Drab does not have to do cleanliness. This is an ownership issue, not center related. I'm just used to other facilities looking a little cheerier and brighter. Disappointed with overall experience. Office was a bit drab. Receptionist seemed unfamiliar with check-in process. Treatment room was small and cramped. There was only one chair. As a parent with a small child, this was uncomfortable. The Nurse Practitioner was great and the only good thing about the experience. read more

Beyond a horrible place. I went there to get someone a drug test. I paid for it in advance online like they told me to and got the barcode. I went to the location and the strip center by the Randall's in Lakeway. It was on the corner. I walked in and the guy said he did not know what I was talking about. I looked at the email I received and it had a different suite number in the same Strip Center. So I walk down to the other suite number and it was a Verizon store. I than called their 800 number and talk to them and they told me it was the wrong suite number on the email and told me to go back to where I was before. How very unprofessional of them! Went back and talked to the guy and he finally got it figured out. But then he told me he needed some kind of e doc when they told me all I needed to bring was the barcode. After wrangling with him for a few minutes we finally figured out then I can send it for my phone via email to him. So apparently the company did not bother to send the location a confirmation email that we were coming. Then, after all that, we were told we're going to have to wait an hour and a half to get the test. I had paid for a fast test that only take a few minutes to administer. After about an hour we finally got in and he took the test but they told us the results were inconclusive and they would have to send it out for further examination. This was last Friday. Just yesterday I finally received an email with the results. Like many people I would say if I could give this place no stars I would. They claim to have over 20,000 locations all over the country but they cannot even give you the correct address to go to. I have no idea how they are staying in business I would strongly recommend to anyone considering using them to run away as fast as you can and find some place else to go. read more

Terrible on all levels! You are better off going to a minute clinic somewhere. I feel like they over charge. Then they will say they sent you a bill and after one supposed "notice," charge a late fee and send it to debt collector. They will not waive any fees. If you can help it, go somewhere else! I had to stop in yesterday because I was feeling like I had the flu, sure enough, I did. CheckIn time was super fast, lobby and rooms were clean, staff were super friendly. They had a hot coffee/tea bar which was amazing bc I just needed some comfort for my scratchy throat. They had me in and out quickly, rX filled to H-E-B next door and I was home all under an hour and a half. Today, despite my excessive hand washing, I had to take my 3.5 year old in. He also tested positive for the flu. Big surprise. But they were just as caring, quick and amazing as yesterday. I love the doctor we had and the staff was different today, but also amazing. I'm newish to the community and have not had to go to any med places since moving here. This was my first experience. On Wednesday morning I dropped a pair very sharp tweezers on my foot. It almost looked like a sneak bite. It bled a little bit and I wiped it off with alcohol and went on with my day. Toward the end of the day it was hurting pretty bad and I tossed the idea of getting it checked out back and forth. I decided to wait and see how it was the next day I woke up the next morning with it swollen so bad I couldn't wear any of my work shoes and had to slip my foot into a tennis shoe and just step on the back. I was able to make an appt at fast med online which was very convenient because I was on my my lunch break. I got there went to the back and the nurse started asking me different questions. She asked about the pain and I told her a 9 because it was a dull pain and burst of sharp pains from time to time and It hurt so bad that I thought it was going to pop. The dr came in didn't even hold my foot up just pointed to the side and said that it was cellulites. Gave me a tetanus shot and sent in a prescription to HEB. They Told me if it wasn't any better within two days to give them a call. I called this afternoon because it hurts so bad and asked if there was a anything that they could prescribe for pain. She put me on hold and came back and told me no and that the staff there didn't know what was going on. I'm not a rocket scientist but I'm pretty sure I have a chart with my info. Especially telling the nurse how painful it was when I went in. I asked if I came in could they not looK at it and determine that I needed something. Even Tylenol 3 or something. She told me that they do not prescribe any thing and that if it hurt that bad then i needed to go to the hospital. I said to her so I paid 70 dollars plus what you are getting from my insurance to not even touch my foot but tell me what I have and give me clidamycin. She didn't disagree with me. The main reason I went to dr was because my foot was hurting so bad. It's like they just didn't pay attention to that part and just wanted to get my money with the least amount of work they could do without actually helping me. I'm disappointed in their service and that when I called back upset because of the pain whoever was telling the receptionist what to say just couldnt have taken the phone to try to help or give other suggestions other than we've got your money so please go elsewhere. I would strongly recommend going anywhere but here. I/22- I reached back out on the 19th with an email after my post was commented on. I have yet to hear anything back. Woke up today, day two of some issues, so I took myself to this location. Checked online for the next available time. Fifteen minutes later I was filling out paperwork with only one person ahead of me. An hour later I am now on my way home diagnosed with medications and a painless butt shot. Truly efficient service at a clean and comfortable facility. Thanks guys! Follow up April 12th My diagnosis and treatment at 3 days post are a bit later luster. The extent of an urgent care, at a minimal standard they did what was needed. That standard would be set at getting me through the weekend without need to go to an emergency room. Today I sit as a person waiting on the edge of the unknown as to whether I have a permanent disease or a run of the mill infection. That is held to their prognosis. They have not called to update me.
