Now referred to as "CareNow" but really should be "Care in 5 or 6 hours from Now" Came in for a simple drug screen for employment. Extremely slow. Will call you to come down over an hour before they're actually ready for you despite the use of an online waiting list. I'm a little shocked by all these low ratings because I came to this urgent care the other day and everything went as smoothly as I could hope. I checked in online, sent over my insurance info, and drove to the location. From there, all I had to do was process my co-pay and wait a few minutes before I was taken to an exam room. The nurse took my vitals and noted the reason for my visit (moderate/severe headaches), and within 10 minutes, the PA came to my exam room. She was very attentive and helped narrow down the cause, ultimately prescribing me some medications, which were filled at the wal-mart across the street. Zero complaints, in and out within 90 minutes, exactly the kind of experience I want out of an urgent care. I went on a Wednesday, around 10am, and I have a feeling that a lot of these low ratings are from people who came at a busier time because the waiting room was almost empty when I visited. read more

I went in for a second job drug and TB Screening. For the TB Screening you have to return within 72 hours to confirm results are negative. I went in on Saturday so Monday was my follow up appointment, I get there and they are closed. I have to use my lunch break again on Tuesday to get the results. There was no notification that they would be closed Monday. When I called on Tuesday to confirm they would be open, she said probably not and I can go to the Mueller location for my results. Your playing around with my hiring process here. For a second job at that!! A call, text, email would have been nice! Luckily they were there Tuesday, the last possible day to get results. Happy to be done with that. Outside of this very important incident they have got me in quickly for past covid testing but it seems to be high turn over. It's stressful just to be there. I'm not gonna lie, nothing there seems to be managed very well. Update: Even more upset that my drug screening results have not been submitted. Again this is affecting my hiring process. I wasn't very bothered before but now I am!! The office is closed again today, things like this should be handed off to be completed. Should really share my experience. I came here after having migraines for a couple of months. Was told I had allergies and given allergy medicine. Then 6 months later I go to a different urgent care for a different reason, I was breaking out in hives. Turns out I had stage 5 kidney failure. Reason for high blood pressure and the migraines. This kinda lefts a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Absolute shake-down. Told by front desk that my simple COVID rapid test would come at no charge to me after insurance. FastMed then bills me $300. After lengthy discussions with my insurance provider, I am told there should be no cost to me, and that the balance would be covered. Months later, I receive a letter from collections for $140. I hate to be that person that writes a negative review for a first time visit. But I'm going to be that person right now. I came in with an appointment at 4:30 for a scratchy throat. I spent an hour in the waiting room. It's been another hour in the medical exam room and not one person has come in to talk to me. I would understand this if I were to do a walk-in at an ER but definitely not from here. I'm sure a tech will come in soon to take my vitals and I might be waiting some more to talk to a doctor. I don't like the fact that nothing has been communicated to me as far as being under staffed or doctors running late. Not a good experience. Hopefully this is not normal for them. read more

I had to come here because I live in Manor and needed to see a doctor immediately and could not get in to see my PCP. I did the web check in and was asked to come in as soon as they opened. I waited at least 20 minutes in the lobby, then when I was taken back a medical assistant took me back and started asking me questions. She rushed through the questions and wouldn't let me answer fully. The provider was good and I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia and asked to come back on a Saturday (again can't see my PCP because they are closed). I did a web check in 30 minutes before the clinic opened, knowing they were going to be busy. I waited at home for an hour an a half before finally calling to ask what my wait was. I was told it would be 40 minutes based on how many walk ins there were. I decided to immediately go in and wait. I was greeted by a passively rude person who smirked when I said I checked in this morning. She said she just spoke to me in the phone and I needed to wait before she could check me in. After 10 minutes she handed me the paperwork and apologized for the wait. I sat down and she then spoke to me across the lobby saying what my copay was. I don't care about people in the lobby knowing but it's horrible customer service. After I turned in my paperwork she then spoke to me across the lobby again saying that they already knew I was there for a follow up. I said okay and she continued to say they knew I was coming in. I'm not sure why this was relevant and that she needed to tell me this. I came in because I was told to by the provider so she was telling me what I already know. I will never go back to this location based on customer service, professionalism of staff, and lack of medical resources / equipment. read more

My husband went in to determine the cause of his ear pain, and was eventually diagnosed with an inner ear infection. Now, when I say eventually, the physician balked at actually diagnosing him with it, and tried to pin his symptoms on The Flu. He felt pressured into getting a flu test, that came back negative, and then the physician seemed a little flummoxed. She prescribed an antibiotic, but when my husband asked what to do for the extreme pain, he was made to feel like a drug seeker and kind of felt like they just wanted to move on to the next patient. After 3 days of very little change, he went to his PCP, who diagnosed him with both an inner AND outer ear infection, and said that without the ear drops she was prescribing the infection would not have cleared up on its own. His pain was down to a manageable level in 24 hours. So, definitely disappointing care as this is the closest urgent care facility to us. read more

This clinic is the worst place I have been to. The staff is rude, uncaring and disrespectful. I was told the would not see me without an appointment so I scheduled one. By the way it is an urgent care not a dr office. Appointments should not be required. Second I was still sitting in the waiting room 2 hours after my appointment. So why did I have to schedule an appointment? Third I was talking to the lady at the front desk when she decided that her cell phone was more important than a patient. She answered her cell and walked to the back while talking on it. Left me the patient standing at the desk. I work in a hospital and even we do not answer our cell phones when assisting a patient. I went there today for the first time with terrible head pains (not migraines as I am an aneurysm survivor so we have different pains) anyway, the whole staff was very friendly and professional. The wait time was short, COVID safety precautions were awesome and a very clean facility. I appreciated the time the NP took to listen to my problems and story to really understand the pain I was having. They took very good care of me and I highly recommend this place. Hours showed they close at 5 today. Walked in at 4:15 and no one was on the waiting room and no cars in the parking lot. I asked if my daughter could get seen due to severe sore throat. Possible strep. The lady at the front who looked like she was asleep said they didn't have anything today and the Lu were waiting on 2 appointments so it was better I make an appointment for the next day. I went in on 1/22/2020 to get evaluated, as I was not feeling well. The physicians assistant tested me for strep that came back negative. She then performed a culture swab to be sent off to the lab, told me it would take a couple of hours. And so I called back two days later telling them how horrible I felt and I was running a fever and they said i should come back and get re evaluated or just wait for the antibiotics to kick in, also that it takes three days to get a culture back... so here we are, 1/27/2020. I called to see what was going on, the lady said she would call the lab, and so I called back 4 hours later, and the lady told me they lost my culture swab.... I understand mistakes happen, but there should have been better communication along the way. Highly disappointed. read more

Worst place ever! My husband was having an allergic reaction to something he got bit by while mowing the lawn. We made an appointment right before they closed. The dr misdiagnosed him said he needed to go to the emergency room and practically shoved him out the door. She did absolutely nothing to help him. Said he had a blood clot in his arm which we knew was total bs. He was having an allergic reaction. Anyways we treated him at home with Benadryl for 3 days and it went away. The real kicker is when we received over a $500 bill they billed to the insurance for them doing absolutely nothing. And our portion? Was incorrect. He has insurance and we paid our copay. How about it took 10 days of back and forth talking to several idiots and finally was able to talk to one with common sense and they admitted we were billed wrong. All of the sudden the bill disappeared and that was that. You call the office they give u a number to call which a human being does not answer you have to leave a voicemail!! This place should be investigated. They are shady and mis diagnose people . The dr was a total bitch too btw. Sweetie If you don't like your job, get another! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Took my son in crying due to an ear ache around 5pm. They close at 8pm. They told me it would be an hour and a half wait so we waited. An hour later at almost 6pm. The frost desk decided to tell me she thought it would be best for me to make an appt for the next day. A receptionist, thought it was best that I take my son home crying and wait til tomorrow to get him any relief or treatment. If anyone has had an earache before you know how painful that can be. She then told me that "if the pain was that bad I should take him to an emergency room". No compassion, poor bed side manner, if you have an urgent need for care, don't bother going to this urgent care clinic. They will punt you off to an emergency room. I really thought an urgent care clinic was meant to handle minor things and the emergency room was used to treat emergencies. Who knows, I've only worked in the medical field for 15years. But I do know when staff is lazy and rather make sure they are out the door by a certain time rather then provide care to a child. Which in fact, only takes 10mins tops to look in a 9year olds year with an otoscope and write a prescription. Did I also say, another mom and child walked in for an earache and she was told by someone else while the receptionist that asked me to leave was out on break that they would be seen by 8pm and was not asked to leave nor did she have an appt. read more

The waiting room had 3 chairs and nothing looked clean. They took hundreds of dollars before I went back to see a doctor. They gave me 2 tests, the PA came into the room after my tests, did not ask me one question but told me to go to the ER bc they could not do anything for me. I asked if there was anything they could give me there so I would not have to go to another ER and I was told no, they do not do treatments they are only a testing facility. Just wow, are you in healthcare to help humans or do you sit in that box of a office to only collect hundreds of dollars and then tell someone to go elsewhere? Nice people, however extremely inefficient. We had an appointment, came in and it was an empty clinic. The PA was sitting at her computer when we were brought into back area. We were told there we just two patients in front of us. We then waited for an hour and half. The PA showed no sense of urgency at all what so ever. Don't work at an urgent care if you do not have time management skills and a sense of urgency for your waiting patients. To be clear my complaint is not about the wait, if the clinic was busy I would have expected to wait. I am complaining about the lack of sense of urgency and disrespect of time of the patients. read more

This is so much easier than getting into my primary doctor for times when I just need a shot or some meds to get over an infection or a cold. I have been here twice and had a great experience both times. They get me in fast and on the road to recovery quickly. I called to speak to customer service for assistance and help and no one answers the phone. So the name FastMed Urgent Care seems an ironic name for a clinic were no one answers the phone. I was experiencing vertigo, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea and couldn't keep anything down at all. The receptionist was very caring and got me into a room as soon as she could so I would have some privacy (I was vomiting). The nurse was equally caring and helpful. She gave me an iv and something in the iv to help with nausea and made me sleepy. The PA was nice as well but I was very sleepy and don't remember as much by then. They did help me to feel better and I appreciate that. They gave me a prescription for a dissolvable tablet for nausea in case I needed it. The only negative I can think of is that they didn't do any blood tests or have any actual diagnosis. read more

I was doubled over in agonizing pain, blacking out in the lobby, and they still cared more about getting every dollar than they did seeing what was wrong. And then, to top it off, while I knew exactly what was wrong and told them before paying what was wrong, and was told yes they can treat that, when I finally got to the doctor he said there was nothing he could do and that I need to go to an emergency room. He didn't even do auscultation or point tenderness exams. But he did offer to take more money and give me an x-ray. So that's always good, right? read more

My husband was seen here today. He tried to go yesterday afternoon to get a covid test but there was none left. He got an "appointment" for 1030 today which we later found out was a "registration time" and this is "noted on their website". He waited for 2 hours and then received a covid test and a strep test. After he got the tests he waited again in the room, then asked 2 different people and was told he could leave and call back for the results. When he called, he was told they "could not send out the pcr portion of the covid test since he was not seen by a provider." Why was this not communicated to him when he asked if he could leave? They kept saying "you left without being seen" but there was zero communication and he certainly would have stayed if someone had told told him he had to be seen. When we asked to speak with someone in charge they finally said they would send it out and we would be notified in several days. My husband is a paramedic and just needs a negative PCR test in order to be approved to go back to work. He came in to just get a test and had to go through this whole ordeal while feeling sick. Save your time and money and go to a Walgreens or CVS clinic instead. Or you could come here for long wait times and poor communication. read more

Recently I had had severe abominal pains for almost 24 hours. I went to Fastmed Urgent Care and they were not fast and they did not act urgently. They opened at 9am and we were the first ones there waiting when they opened. My wife said, "at least we'll be first!" Not so. I had to fill out paperwork and sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes while they tended to two other people (that came in while I was filling out their paperwork) before they saw me. When I finally was taken back to room to wait some more, a man came and we wasn't even a Dr. He was a PA and he was the only one there that could see me. He did nothing and only made conjectures about what he thought it might be (he was wrong) and said I probably needed some tests but they didn't have the means to do any there. So, all the time I spent there was for nothing. In the meantime, I'm about to literally pass out from the pain. We left and went to the Seton Hospital ER. Within 30 minutes or less after arriving I was in a room and had an IV in my arm dispensing much needed pain meds and then got the tests run that I needed. I would never consider going to Fastmed for anything in the future. I would go to a veterinarian before I would go here again. Do not waste your time here. read more

I took my son to this clinic on Friday for a knee injury. My pediatrician does not have X-rays available in her office and my insurance copay for the Er is outrageous. I have to say, from beginning to end my experience was excellent. The front desk was able to check me in and verify my insurance in a matter of minutes. My son was already placed in a room before I had even finished signing all the paperwork. The provider promptly met with us, evaluated my son and sent him off to have X-rays done. While my son was having X-rays the provider explained to me what he thought was going on but needed the X-rays to be certain. When my son returned the provider immediately came back and showed me the X-rays. I was in and out in no time. And less than half the cost of an Er visit. read more

The staff here is completely incompetent. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. Went here to get a flu test done. I chose this location specifically because of the huge ad on their website offering flu tests. I filled out the paperwork and took it with me to save time on the visit. The first question on the paperwork, "why are you here?" I wrote flu test. When I arrived a handed them the paperwork and was asked to fill out the same paperwork but this time on a germ infested iPad that is passed from one sick patient to another. Again, first question is why are you here. Again, I wrote FLU TEST. After completing the same questions for a second time I handed the iPad back and was asked to take a seat. From across the room the receptionist began yelling out questions about my paperwork and asking me to verify information. Not wanting to yell personal information for everyone to hear I walked to the desk and provided my info. After standing there's a bit longer with no acknowledgement I walked back to take a seat. The receptionist then yelled across the room that my copay was $35. After paying my copay I was brought back to a room by the same receptionist that I initially handed my paperwork to. Her first question, you guessed it, why are you here? I calmly stated for the 3rd time I would like to take a flu test. The nursed instantly informed me that they don't have any flu tests there but they could do a strep test, which is not at all the same. She said that they would likely just treat me for the flu anyways to be on the safe side. Baffled and dumbfounded by this entire interaction I explained that I was not interested in paying for treatment and medication that I did not need and that if they could not properly test for the flu then there was no reason for me to be there. She agreed. I asked her if I would be refunded my copay and she said they could not do anything there but would mail me a check. I highly doubt I will ever see that $35 but I can guarantee that I'll never step foot in this place again. read more

About a month ago I went to this clinic to get my daughter seen for a high temperature. It was busy in the waiting room. I was given a clip board with several forms to complete. I completed them, went to the front desk and sat back down. The girl at the desk seemed to be very busy trying to get everyone logged in so I waited patiently. The entire time, I was hearing a very loud hysterical laugh coming from a woman somewhere in the back. The laugh went on and on as myself and several other people were waiting in the waiting room. I don't blame the girl at the front desk for the long wait, but if whoever that woman was had time to laugh like that in the back, she could come and help. Finally I was told that my payment due that day was going to be $175. I have been to this clinic in the past and my payment had always been $35. I asked if they were sure and I was told yes. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, the girl went to the back and came back and let me know that the clinic manager would come and answer any questions that I have. After another 10-15 minutes of having to listen to this hysterical witch like laugh, the clinic manager finally came out. Apparently it was her that was laughing. She seemed agitated that I took her away from whatever was so funny. She offensively and quickly dismissed any questions that I had and told me that I was wrong and my payment had to be $175 or my daughter couldn't get seen. She happily told me what other clinics I could go to. I have had positive experiences in the past in this clinic, but I will never be going back. read more
