Took my daughter in with ear infections, as we found out the next day at a REAL Scott & White in Round Rock. After being seen by two muslim women they said she was fine a told her to go back to school the next day. Ear infection in both ears, runny nose and congestion was found by a pediatrician in Round Rock. we believe they wanted her to go to school and infect more children. They also demanded a Covid test, we walked out and will NEVER return. Spoke to lawyer about a malpractice lawsuit against this place!!!! read more

Their care quality is very poor. The doctor dint even listen and I had to leave with the same amount of pain with which I came. They just gave me a pain pill and sent me. The dr and the nurses were so rude. If there were a zero rating I'd give them that. read more

I went in for an ear ache due to sinus congestion. I got a steroid injection and they billed this to insurance as an outpatient surgery. Insurance tells me that this is not the way it should be billled but BSW is willing to update the claim. So I had the pleasure of paying 30% of the payment instead of my normal urgent care deductible. I called and messaged thru the app multiple times to get this resolved. The answer that I got 5 times was that someone will get in touch with you within 48 hours and I never got a call back. Very disappointed that they are willing to correct a mistake that they made. Care in the clinic was good but it makes it hard to give a good review when it cost me an extra $75 due to their mistake. read more

Years ago my wife was assigned to them from her Teachers' insurance plan. They were always really busy, long waits, and they seemed to be always in a confused state. As a result I actively avoided them. Boy how things have changed!! They kind of have an umbrella of Dr.s with specialists for whatever misery you have. AND they are insanely organized! They take time and answer your questions. The only issue is that regular checkups and stuff are scheduled way out. I know that this is the result of Doctor shortages. If you need immediate care, they're all about it. I'm going to recommend it...reluctantly, because more patients mean more people to crowd in appointments. I'll have to compete with extra patients. In follow up to my prior review dated 7/22 , the coding audit by WellMed has been completed. The result indicated a coding "modifier" was applied by BSW to my medical bill code which resulted in my exposure to balance billing as Wellmed would not accept the modifier and additional charge associated with it. If BSW is going to apply a modifier to a billing code and expose me to balance billing, then I should have been informed of this billing action by BSW prior to the service being rendered . This process described did not occur and that is why I refuse to pay the balance bill in this matter. I have since moved on to a different physicians office. read more

I am a regular patient due to Sever COPD. I am hospitalized 2-3 times a month. SBW. always takes immediate action. They are very good at what they do. The Nurses, are very caring and attentive. . Thhh patch me up for 2-3 days and I last about 20. What I have is not currible, only treatable...Kitchen staff will forget items. . Have had doctor's that listened to my breathing but, the stethoscope wasn't in there ears... What's up with that? Happened more than once. I still say they are the best hospital I have ever been too. I saw that Dr Bruce was on the list of providers accepted on my plan and I chose her because I remembered her as a pleasant, good surgeon in my encounters with her in the past, though it had been 10+ yrs. I have been confused and apprehensive about symptoms I've experienced and she was the next step that my pcp thought would lead to a better understanding. My encounter with her was a surprise to me! She was very rude to me from the moment she walked into the exam room, spent absolutely no time helping me to understand my concerns, stated that there was nothing she could do for me but maybe write a script for some ibuprofen, then walked out of the room to "look at your test results again, I'll be back". I promptly left, not wanting to be degraded or humiliated any further! I am turning 60 this year, that is the first time as a patient that a physician has been so unprofessional and dismissive as Dr Bruce was to me today! I regret that I paid in full prior to my visit and feel that 200.00 out of my pocket to pay for 5 minutes of bullying was like setting that money on fire! I would sincerely suggest that Dr Bruce take a refresher course on bedside manner! I know that those courses are very low cost or free! Thank you. read more

Went to the urgent care on 1/9/2023. Waited for over 2 hrs to be seen by a Noelle Soltero PAC. When we finally made it to the back to be seen, I asked Noelle if we would be seen by a MD. She stated she can do everything a MD can. I told her what was going on with my 14 yr old son. She then replied and I quote " I'm not trying to be rude but what do you expect us to do for him here". I was flabbergasted by her comment. I paid my copay and my insurance company was charged and I still had to take my son to the North Austin Medical center so he can be treated. I couldn't believe what had happened to us by a medical professional. I would not recommend their Pflugerville clinic for the way we were treated. I gave 1 star because I had no other option. Do not recommend. Cannot rely on the staff to schedule appointments correctly. I took a vacation day from work to take my child in for a routine appointment that was scheduled at the desk in the clinic three months before. The appointment was incorrectly scheduled for three months from now. The staff was unwilling to see my child today or try to accommodate the appointment in anyway despite the CLEAR mistake on their part. read more

**Please note: this review is NOT based on the doctor, but on BSW's billing practices** On January 21, I called to make an appointment due to illness (NOT AT ALL COVID RELATED) because I was an established BSW patient in a sister BSW Clinic in NW Austin, and since I moved to Pflugerville this was the closest one to me. I was told that due to a low-grade fever I was not permitted to come in (regardless of this being NOT AT ALL COVID RELATED) and that they could only offer me a telehealth visit. They assured me it would be the same as if I went into the clinic, and I'd only be responsible for my copay. The visit went as planned; Dr. Watkins was pleasant and compassionate even though this was only a telehealth video call, and he prescribed the meds I needed and I went about my life. I've been waiting to receive the bill for my copay, however today when I did, I also got a bill for a "facility fee". They billed my insurance $283 for a "facility fee", which of course my insurance did NOT cover in full, and when I called they claimed that since COVID started, this was how they "have" to bill. Funny considering when I established as a patient in that NW Austin sister clinic there was no separate "facility fee" and I only had to pay my standard copay. Look, COVID sucks, I get it. I understand they are losing revenue because they aren't able to herd patients in like cattle anymore, but to RIP OFF patients by denying them an in-person visit then hitting them with a bogus "facility fee" is a very poor billing practice, plain and simple. I am filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and Health Facility Compliance Group at the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) today. Looking at other reviews, it's time someone speaks up. My relationship with BSW as a provider ends today. read more

I usually do not see reviews before visiting a place. I have visited this facility at least 3 or more occasions because somethings come up that you want addressed on a weekend and it happens to be conveniently located near me. By and large the place looks clean. Staff overall professional. The care however in my 3 or more experience leaves a lot to be desired. Today especially I came in for a check up and felt dismissed. The PAC that attended me spoke over me, failed to listen despite multiple efforts to redirect and provide additional pertinent information that she would not listen to. The jaw dropping moment occurred when I was leaving when she made comment within my hearing distance. I will be filing a big time complaint and perhaps refer her license. Big piece of advice - do not assume any patient that comes through the door fits into your cultural misperceptions! read more

Woke up with a throat so swollen that my speech was impacted...this location got me in same day. Dr. Patel was thorough and setup a steroid shot right away...both he and the nurse were surprised the Stepp test was negative so they sent off the sample to check for other things...before I left, extra caution was displayed in getting a soft tissue xray as a precaution given things were so swollen and red. The nurse also was very knowledgable and the receptionist and xray tech were very friendly. I'm not sure why this place has such a low rating...maybe things have improved from the past given the docs are new here. 5 stars. Update: Test for Strepp C came back positive...the alternative Strepps take around 2 days to grow/test...this means it is now Saturday. No phone numbers exist fior any Scott & White clinic and the appointments line basically said I may have to wait 48 hrs. to get the only thing prescribed for Strepp: Penecillin or some derivative. Keep in mind treatment has already been deleayed 2 days. I had to drive to the nearest clinic open on Sat. just to get the most obvious prescription. This is a broken system--not the fault of this clinic--the fault of the owners of the network...I did not appreciate being told by the doc that only imperative results were moved on...treatment for Strepp was imperative for me. I'll delete a star for the system--one emulated everywhere in the U.S. but not anywhere else in the free world. read more

I am not sure the name of the lady. When I find out her name I will update this review but this is now the second time within a 6 month span the front desk lady is rude to me. She is just very snobby and had a strong attitude. If that's just how she is, I understand. Some people are naturally like that but she needs to realize this is not the job for her. Being a patient for this clinic I know the policy has changed from 15 minutes to a 9 minute grace period when you're late....I was eight minutes late with waiting in line it became nine minutes and she basically just turned me away without trying to see if they would still see me. I then asked her to just see if there was anything else available because I knew about the policy & I am a mother of a toddler... sure enough she "could only put me down as a walk in" therefore the wait was now going to be an hour... which I was fine with & continued to wait in my car so my son wouldn't get irritated... I then get the call to go back in because they were calling me to find myself chatting with the nurse that mentioned that she was waiting for me but then "I went to the car" I then told her what I was told. Basically, the lady up front lacked customer service and just gave attitude for no reason. Also wasted my time and their nurses time. I hope desk staff gets better. It is unfortunate that for 40$ they are willing to lose a patient. I will not be returning to a clinic that charges me a co-pay for what should be a free preventative visit, all because I answered questions the provider initiated. I suppose I'm supposed to be the one to tell the provider, " I cannot answer your questions and risk incurring an additional fee because it is outside the scope of my wellness exam." I'll be back to ARC , who not once in 20 years has ever charged me for a preventative visit regardless of what was discussed. read more

I used to go to Scott and White for all my medical needs until I moved to the Austin area. I wanted to shake it up so I have been going to multiple places. I started coming here the last six months since they offer walk in hours in the evenings and on weekends. This clinic is very convenient so I don't have to miss work. Occasionally the wait time can be long. I don't mind since I want to be seen the same day. Walk in hours are for acute care only. The doctors here are patient and caring. They take their time answering questions and explaining everything. They always provide reading material to read over when you get home. No complaints at all. They offer convenient walk in hours and great staff. read more

The front counter staff, the dr's taking the walk ins and Dr. Mahale especially are more interested in arguing with you and listing the numerous ways they can't help you for basic treatment. Mahale repeatedly told me I didn't know what I was talking about when she would ask if I had any of the symptoms she listed for tennis elbow and I said no to all of them. Luckily I went elsewhere for a second opinion and it was just my shoulder out of socket. No elbow problems since. Her general disdain for her patients is clear from the second you meet her to the second you leave still in pain and confused why you were talked down to the whole time. read more

Today was my first visit to establish care. I just moved here from Dallas. I have been going to Baylor doctors for years. It is very convenient that all my medical records automatically uploaded into their system. Saw Dr. Leah Hernandez. She addressed my "Austin allergy". She prescribed Flonase. She never looked at any of my other medications to note that Flonase has side effect of increased anxiety in those patients in anxiety meds. I have felt absolutely horrible today and I am done with Flonase. I will see my real doctor on Thursday and I am sure be told that I should not be prescribed Flonase. Something else to note...they will only address ONE concern at each appointment. They book you for 15 minutes with the doctor, which in my opinion doesn't really promote an attitude of "we are here to help you". Had a second concern about a pain in my right arm and was told to see a specialist. I am assuming on my own that a "constant phantom pain" in my arm would lead to a neurologist appointment. So here is to making another appointment with a specialist to see what is really bothering me. If there was a way to give ZERO STARS...I would! read more

Avoid Baylor Scott & White at all costs. They would not release my xrays to orthopedic surgeons after multiple attempts. They billed me higher than what I owed them and they use radiologists that can not identify a fracture in a bone. First and absolute LAST time I will ever go to this facility. read more

Very inefficient system. The people who schedule appointments are not on the same page as the doctors. If they cancel or reschedule your appointment nobody calls to let you know. Dr. Hernandez in particular seems to be one of the worst. My husband saw her and she totally forgot to prescribe his medicine. After going to the pharmacy twice to pick it up, I sent her and other doctors several messages throughout the day to please send over the prescription. By 7:30 pm the pharmacy still didn't have it so I had to drive down to the clinic and get the receptionist to call her at home to finally get the prescription sent over. I was lucky I walked in there 5 minutes before they closed. Weeks later I had a 7am appointment with Dr. Hernandez. She cancelled my appointment at 11pm the night before via their message system saying I needed a 30 minute spot to establish care not the spot they scheduled me for. I decided to reschedule with someone else that I had already established care with and I show up for my appointment and Dr Hernandez had canceled my new appointment with the other provider and rescheduled it with her for the following week. Nobody let me know it was rescheduled until I showed up for my appointment. These people have no respect for other people's time and are completely unreliable. Run from this one. read more

My husband was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and he had to ask them repeatedly to get labs done, and then when they came back with a firm diagnosis (eg an A1c of 7, high blood sugars, high fasting blood sugars), he wanted some help keeping his blood sugars down, so they put him on a queue. He waited all day yesterday for a call. They called him at 11:30pm while he was sleeping, so he missed their call. He called again this morning, and they put him back on a queue, and he's still waiting for a doctor to talk to him about helping him keep his blood sugars down. They are constantly over 150...all the way up to 335. He's had no carbohydrates in two days, and he's still high. But do these doctors care? No. This is the worst place to go. Go some place where the doctors will respond to your needs--especially if your needs are a matter of life or death like diabetes is. read more

I'll be looking for a different clinic immediately. I scheduled a yearly well visit. The Dr barely even spoke to me for 10 minutes. Received a bill for almost $650 because apparently the visit was coded as something else. I've asked billing to submit for a code review twice now, as the first time it was simply notated that I "hung up" after having spent an hour and a half on a conference call with billing and my insurance company. The second time I was told that it was pointless and wouldnt accomplish anything because she (the billing agent) "sees a lot of these and the Drs look for any reason to code these as something else" read more

We're new to this area and I certainly will be looking for new providers outside of the Baylor Scott and White Pflugerville clinic. I've been in the medical industry for 10 years and worked at various places around the country. I'm completely unimpressed by the experience both myself and two of my children have had. For my daughter the provider brought up some VERY unnecessary ideas and made my 13 year old daughter uncomfortable and feel bad. I'm truly appalled for how my daughter was treated. My son was left without a medication that he must have every day because of their inefficient scheduling processes. Lastly I was questioned as if I was lying about medication I take that was prescribed 6 years ago by a specialist. If you do choose this substandard place of care just know that if you're establishing care you must see an MD. If they schedule you with the PA you will have to go to another appointment to be established. They won't tell you that when they schedule you as a new patient, they'll just waste your time. Normally I would've gone an done a complaint to the facility so they could address these issues and save other people from experiencing it, however there's no place online to do so. read more

I brought my son into the emergency room this evening, 9/23, at about 8:30pm. We finally saw a doctor at 10:30pm. It is now midnight and over 40 minutes ago my son informed one of the nurses that he was experiencing severe pain again. He has yet to get any additional medication. The male nurse on duty this evening seems to always be in a HUGE hurry. This is my first experience with this hospital and I have not been that impressed and probably will not come back. read more

I only have great things to say about this clinic! My family has been going here since we moved here two years ago. My kids see Dr. Shah and I see Dr. Angelelli. Both providers are courteous, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. They take the time to listen to our concerns and answer any questions we may have - and never in a condescending manner. I always feel reassured and at ease when I leave an appt with either doctor. I really appreciate that Dr. Shah can relate to me as a mom of small children and provide recommendations, not only as a medical professional/expert, but also with that momma perspective. As far as after-hours, we had a wonderful experience with Dr. Whited. He was very personable and calmly evaluated our daughter after she fell and hit her head. He concluded that she was fine and sent us home, but told us to call him if we noticed some specific signs throughout the night. The next morning, he called right before he went into surgery just to check on our daughter. That meant so much to me and my husband. He also made sure to communicate with Dr. Shah regarding the incident and she checked in that day as well. Oh, and I cannot write a review without mentioning their AWESOME nurses, Alli and Erin. Both are great at their jobs! My daughter especially adores "Ms. Alli." :) The receptionists/administrative assts are also friendly and helpful (There is one in particular who always brightens our day, but sadly I cannot remember her name! She usually sits on the far right). My only negative thing to say about BSW, in general, is that you cannot reach your clinics directly and have to call the main line every time. For example, if the clinic calls with lab results and you miss it, you must call the main line and the representative has to call the clinic to let them know you called back. Then you have to wait again for them to call. That can be a little frustrating at times. However, this is not the clinic's fault. read more

I was having a gull bladder stone problem and arrived in the middle of the night with pain I had never experienced. They put me in a room and left me there for 20 minutes before they came in and gave me a pain killer that did nothing for me..leaving me again to suffer in agonizing pain for a good 30 minutes..finally they gave me something that killed the edge of the pain but was still in serious pain. I notice they where reluctant to give me anything strong and preferred me to suffer while waiting on their mercy..if you are in pain don't go here they are cruel and seemed to get off on seeing you hurt.. read more

I have had nothing but a pleasant experience with this clinic. The front desk staff are professional, the doctors great and I also have not experience problems with billing. I have a HDHP so I pay for everything out of pocket until I hit my deductible. Charges are 40% less than ARC charges. Their afterhours urgent care is easily accessible and I never had to wait for a long time. I highly recommend S&W Pflugerville. read more

We see Dr Angelleli for our bigs and Dr Shah for our little. Both are compassionate doctors who listen to our concerns and provide helpful assessments. I appreciate that they always offer practical solutions and don't immediately jump to medications and treatments. I get very timely responses to messages and both doctors do their best to resolve my concerns as efficiently as possible. Even though our family sees multiple doctors they are across the hall from one another and do a good job seeing our family from a holistic perspective. It is difficult to reach the pediatrician by phone because of the Baylor S&W system; find a way to fix this for pediatric patients. read more

I visited Dr. Vikash Patel and he is good and I got X-ray of my knee. The doctor visit charge is ok. The bad thing is with Scott &White. They charged really high for x-ray(I compared on my provider website). Also they have this new charge called facility fee of $136 for entering the hospital. What a crap. I would NOT recommend this clinic. The overall experiences I've had while being in this location have not been an issue. The staff is alright and I'm normally in and out in a timely manner. However, I would have to say as soon as you leave their doors it seems as though they could care less about you! In my initial visit they had to draw blood and send it off for testing. No call for results, they were just posted online in "MyChart" (the patient portal) but I wasn't alerted when or where results would be I just had to figure that out on my own. Not to mention no notes of how to resolve the issue I am having. My issue was not getting better after me trying to resolve it on my own with vitamins so I went back as instructed only to be told I would need to go to another S&W location for a sleep study. The doctor said they would call to set up a date for that. After about 2 weeks I get the call and set up an appt...3 months from now..and that will only be a consultation!!! I emailed my doctor before thanksgiving holiday about this letting her know I need advise on what to do in the mean time and no response (she opened the email but did not reply). I gave it some time thinking she may have been busy and/or out of town, but still nothing after about 2 weeks. I emailed her again and same thing..she opened the email with my concern but NO response! I am extremely exhausted and cannot focus on a day to day basis, it may seem like a normal thing for most people but it effects me to the point where I need something done. Waiting to get something done about this is only making matters worse. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars I am now owing them for just drawing my blood on that first visit and that is with insurance! They want to collect their $$$ but not solve your medical issues. read more

Physical therapist Jami Gilbert is the best. Came here after rotator cuff surgery and 2 procedures on my bicep. Let her know right away I was serious wanted to have plenty of homework and was ready to get this over. Went 1 day a week for 6 weeks and she kept me on track giving me new exercises every time, had my last visit with her and could not be happier with the results. If you are looking for a good physical therapist give Jami call you will be very pleased with her knowledge and dedication read more

DO NOT USE! I went for an on-going cough. I was given a steroid shot and some meds. My symptoms did not get better and I went back 4 days later. The doctor gave me an albuterol treatment. Before I could finish the treatment, I stated my hands were going numb and I noticed my hands getting stiff. I saw panic in the staffs faces. They made me take a benedryl pill to try and help, then I heard the doctor tell the nurse to call EMS. The nurse left then came back to fan me because I was having a full body sweat! The doctor asked if she called and she stated she had to go to the lab first and was about to call! EMS arrived and took me to the emergency room. EMS staff stated they come to this clinic ALL the time to pick people up because the staff do things like this! It's pretty bad when EMS tells you NOT to go. I suggest staying away from here! read more

By far, the rudest experience I have ever had a a place that is supposed to provide comfort. The initial receptionist we dealt with did not quite understand our medical situation, so she brought a woman from the back. This woman questioned the patient in an accusatory tone, and when I answered a few questions for her- stops, asks me who I am in a rude one and tells me she can't talk to me. This woman even went so far as to roll her eyes when the the patient was describing her symptoms. I do not know her name because her name tag was turned the wrong way- probably on purpose- but she had a small tattoo on her neck. Sadly, I though Scott and White to be a professional place of business but this woman showed us that is not the case with this location. read more

I called and got an appointment at this new clinic on the same day. My appointment was at 3pm and I was called back at 3:04. They had some really nice equipment and, of course, everything was brand new and beautiful. I saw Dr. Catherine Meshew around 3:30 and she was really nice and thorough. I am definitely planning on going back next time I need to be seen by a doctor. read more
