Highly recommend if you have the time to stop by! I will say definitely high wait times but it's worth it. The food was so good! I've had bbq in Texas so you can tell they know what they're doing. Cool place too I like the vibe it had inside. The homemade bbq sauces are so good too! You can tell there is a lot of care put into the food. When you have a little extra time I'd recommend coming in.

Amazing food. It's not a 'fast food' joint so don't go expecting your food to be ready in five minutes! They are usually very busy with in house orders and takeout orders. So just because you don't see people there doesn't mean your food is gonna come out quick. Slow down for a minute, enjoy the mountains because when the food does come out...you'll forget all about the wait! I read a few people saying the help wasn't kind. Not my experience...they were friendly and talkative when we struck up a conversation! The desserts are delicious as well! We ordered the blueberry peach cobbler and it was delicious!

We got there right when they opened so no wait at 11am on a Thursday but was getting busy by the time we left, and rightfully so! We got the pitmaster sandwich. Came with brisket, burnt ends, sausage, provolone, onions and pickles. I don't like sourdough but it was that or a wrap so we stuck with the sandwich and man of man, I wouldn't have changed a thing, it was perfect with the sourdough! The meats were all tender and full of flavor; perfect smoke and seasoning, each a little different in their own way and when served together, they were a marvelous combination. Side of that mild BBQ sauce and done! I think it was $15 and we split it and it was huge. Great first time order to try everything and I would recommend for a first visit on the road since it is not too heavy, but if up for a full meal I would try a plate next time to try even more. Brisket was tender and would love to try the ribs and maybe burnt ends on their own. I ordered the fried pickles served with ranch and they were amazing. Some of the best I ever had. The coating stayed put on the pickles and had a wonderful crunch that held up through the end of the meal. Would order them again for sure! My husband tried the potato salad and he is picky if not like his mom's and he loved it. It was tangy with a good amount of mustard but it was such a great compliment to the rich meaty sandwich, he didn't event care. I would love to try the slaw next time for that same contrast. Great food and cool quick road side stop. Nice benches and tables outside and even in a hot August day it was manageable. They look to be working on the store front portion inside so I can imagine it will only get better. Must stop on your way through town. Also cute country store across the street with amazing rice Krispy treats!

The spicy BBQ sauce here is the best sauce I have ever had - coming from a big BBQ fan. Turkey and all of the sides were very good, highly recommend trying. Owner was also very outgoing and friendly

Really cute Bbq stop on the way home. We decided to visit Lake George after a night in the mountains. This was an accidental find. A very good one! In fact, Lake George is right across the street. We had the Ribs and the Pitmaster Sandwich. The ribs were good but the Pitmaster was the star. It's the best choice to make since it's loaded with different kinds of meat in the the menu. Sausages, brisket, burnt ends, cheese, onion and pickle. I'm a rib gal but my ribs paled in comparison to the Pitmaster I got jealous! . It's still really good though!with a side of mac and cheese. They opened in May of 2022. Their specialty is Memphis style dry rubbed ribs. Future tries: the Smoking Gun They serve breakfast burritos, breakfast bowls, biscuits and gravy with their I am sausage, homemade cinnamon rolls, a mean peach cobbler as well as espressos and lattes. Awesome service! Nice people

Inconsistent, but good when they are "on". Several times we ordered take out, then at home noticed items missing. Burnt ends were good!

I'd eat here more often, but with a 1 hour lunch break and it taking 45 minutes to get a sandwich, I can't.

Thus, when we got to Poncha Springs and suddenly had 4G again, we chose the first food truck listed on Yelp. We did not know what to expect from a rural food truck with only 3.5 stars at the time of our visit, but our growling bellies demanded that we risk it. OMG are we ever glad we did! Combine that everybody-knows-your-name feel of your local dive-bar, with the earnestly eclectic comfort of your favorite independent coffee house, then hide that under a wooden carport, and you will have the vaguest impression of the dining room. An order window faces into the humbly hip dining room, and a bright white sign, looking for all the world  like an oversized tri-fold pamphlet displays the menu.  I know exactly what I want from the pictures on Yelp, but I have trouble finding it. Turns out that if you want fried shrimp and sweet potato waffle-fries, that's just the Shrimp Basket with a substitution. Those sweet potato fries are pretty darn amazing, though, and the shrimp are some of the best ive had this far from an ocean. Raz went for the Cajun Pork plate. I was astounded at the slow burn of the spicing, and the absolute perfection of the succulent meat. The absolute star of the whole experience, however, was his side of spicy ranch-style beans. They were savory, smoky, spicy, and had almost none of the sweetness I generally associate with bbq beans. Thus, they were the perfect pintos, and I would be willing to make the half-day drive back here just for them. This place is an absolute diamond-in-the-rough, and worth every one of the 5 stars I'm giving.

We found Boudreaux's and boy, the ratings did not lie! First thing I noticed was the ambience. It was a nice, familiar southern vibe that I wasn't expecting to see in Colorado. Apologies in advance for not remembering names but, we were greeted by our server who was extremely friendly. She was prompt and attentive to our whole group. We put in our orders, I ordered the Loaded Baked Potato with Brisket, Loaded Mac & Cheese with Brisket and Baked Beans. Being that I consider myself not to be the biggest BBQ fan, not liking super smoky flavor, I was skeptical... I was very pleasantly surprised. Before getting to the food, I want to touch briefly on the owner and grill master of Boudreaux's. Again, very sorry I cannot remember his name but, after we spoke with him, I couldn't have been more eager to try his BBQ. He told us a little about his past and his experience in BBQ. He let us know that the larger racks of ribs weren't quite ready and brought out some "smaller" racks that were ready. These didn't seem small to me and my friends said that they were excellent. His passion in his craft is very admirable and reassuring that we came to the right place. I don't have anything to compare this brisket to as it is the first time I've had brisket but, I know that this was some damn good brisket. It was juicy, full of flavor and the "burnt" parts were surprisingly sweet. The beans were delicious with a nice sweetness. The Mac & Cheese was nice and creamy. The portions were definitely more than enough. All of it was great! I paid cash and I am writing this review a few days later so, I can't quite remember how much I paid - I know it wasn't pricy - and I'd absolutely pay it again! Thank you Boudreaux's for your hospitality and delicious BBQ! I wish you all the best!

Doesn't change the fact that they are doing something right in the kitchen! At Switchback, they have the MEATS. As all good BBQ places should. My last meal consisted of their brisket, sausage, and mac and cheese. I really enjoyed everything I had. The sausage may have been my favorite, it was extremely juicy. Brisket is the best BBQ meat and theirs (even takeout) was tender and tasty. Like many BBQ places, the hours and quantities are limited. We were told that the one guest who was celiac and one guest who was vegetarian were going to have a plated meal to prevent risk of cross contamination and would ensure they had their food. We were told not to stress as they would be plated and given to the guests as they were given the guests names and could work with the seating chart. I noticed that the guest who was vegetarian was only eating sides so I had asked and she said she didn't know there was a separate meal. the celiac guest who luckily got to go through the buffet first did not have issues as she did get to go first but could've caused severe outcomes for her if she did have cross contamination. After talking with catering staff onsite they said they were told that the guest has to ask for it which was complete opposite of what was originally communicated, and they were deeply sorry. So just miscommunication with one that actually could've caused permanent harm if she had ingested gluten. We also paid an additional fee for grilling to be onsite, due to fire ban that was unable to occur. We understand that is not within our control but no where in the contract does it say that it is not refundable, so they just held onto that fee even though they didn't provide the service. When asked about the refund I was told the fee was for the tri-tip to be cooked on a specific grill but nowhere does that say that in our contract and was NEVER communicated - because if it was not onsite we were told the way it was cooked was the same - we thought we really were just paying for the experience of it being onsite. So biggest tip for anyone going through them is get everything in writing with clear communication and clarification, because without that they don't care to help.
