It's such a cozy, intimate setting. Great venue for the live bands and performances they have there. It can definitely become SRO very quickly. There's no food but dining is nearby. It's a small bar so service can get backed up fairly quick but, they handle it well. Parking garage is a block away so, be cautious of weather.

I wanted to come here for a while now and it was worth the wait. The drinks here were amazing the bartender was fast and always very attentive and the band was supper cool and fun. The music was excellent and they played for about 2 hours or so. They were engaging with the crowd asking for a genre and adjetive to kind of improvise. I had a blast definitely coming back soon.

A very cool and laid back bar located at the rear of the Downtown Grand Hotel . The bar has a speakeasy- jazz cool vibe. We stumbled upon Fat Cat LV in the afternoon as we were looking for the snack vending machines at the Grand. I had a refreshing vodka tonic. The friendly bartender said that a small band and vocalist can be heard and enjoyed in the evenings playing something similar to jazz - blues in an Amy Winehouse style. There are cool newspaper clippings and jazzy- blues posters from the depression era to the last mid- century.. a chill ambiance! Small plate appetizers can also be called up and enjoyed. Next time I find myself in Las Vegas, I will stumble upon this place in the evening.

4 Stars Such a charming little jazz bar! The ambiance was cozy and intimate--perfect for a relaxed night out. The drinks were well-made, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We were especially looking forward to the live music, which was fantastic once it started! The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because we were told the music would start at 9:45 PM, but it didn't kick off until later, which threw off our plans a bit. Still, once it got going, it was well worth the wait. Would definitely come back!

Live music was excellent. Friendly welcoming staff. Good drinks and bar service! Located in an area with many good eateries.

We were staying at the grand for the weekend and came across this little hideaway bar inside our hotel. I love the ambience to this bar. We actually came here twice. Once the first night then the second night they had a band playing on stage. This bar is owned by a local so we fully support it!! So the drinks made here are sooooo goood. They are very minimal is beer selection but we managed. We wanted to come again for New Year's Eve but it was closed. We'll be back again though in the future because it was well worth it:) enjoy my pics!!

So I feel like this is going to be an unfair review because I actually didn't go during the time where it was up and running, I came when they were basically just opening so there really wasn't a live band in music. I feel like it deserves another chance! I love any spot that does jazz and a live fashion and this was it. It's an old Vegas so you have to go through the Grand hotel to get to it if you want to stay on the inside but it's definitely worth it. The bar has a lot of older things there like vinyls and things like that on the wall for decorations which is pretty cool. I had a few drinks, to drinks are somewhat reason to be priced so don't worry about that. But I feel like it would have definitely shined if it had been night time and they had had a band but they only have music on certain time. So you kind of get what you get. But, it is a old school jazz club kind of vibe to it, so you'll definitely enjoy it if you're into that! So because of the good customer service and the description of the place and the drinks in the camaraderie that was formed with the bartenders, I'm still going to give it a really decent score but I really need to see the music so I have to put that on my list of things to do but I'm looking forward to it.

This place is a chill blues and jazz lounge. The decor is swanky and comfortable. No food is available, but the drinks are on point. The only complaint I have is the drink I wanted to order wasn't available and there was only one active bar tender. Otherwise I would definitely return to watch more bands play and sip on fancy cocktails. The price for cocktails is $16 for the fancy ones.

Stopped in here as they were opening. What a great spot! It has a cool and comfortable vibe. James the bartender was friendly and talented. He made me the Chubby Kitty. It's a smoky bourbon drink and I could taste the smoke! My husband ordered the Jazz Hands and that was delicious too. There was a jazz band setting up that I couldn't stay to see, I will be back to check that out!

Great Jazz club near Fremont (across from the Mob Museum) great music, cool vibe and tasty treats. A nice balance to the hustle of the "Fremont experience"

Walked in at around 8:30/9pm and it was pretty dead. My friend and I were able to secure a booth, which felt intimate. It was ample space for 2 people but I can imagine if you had 4 people you'd feel squished. My friend ordered the Naked & Afraid and I ordered the Tropical Howler with vodka. Both of our cocktails were amazing and we'd order them again. If you like sweet cocktails, Tropical Howler is definitely for you. We both ordered a shot of the Mind Eraser, which had coffee liqueur I believe, I am not sure but you could taste the coffee and it was pretty good. Our bartender gave it to us with straws so you could probably sip it like a cocktail or take it like a shot. We liked the vibes in here due to its dark and intimate feel. We probably would have gotten a different vibe if we didn't have our own booth. I would come here again!

Pricy, as expected in Vegas, but a nice time for my husband and I in a unique decor. The host out front selected for us a cozy little settee and cocktail table in a lovely room away from the main traffic and activity of the bar. He was brightly cordial and had a fun sense of humor. Jennifer, our magnificently poised and attentive server, gave us helpful descriptions of various cocktails and answered questions about navigating around the cheese allergy. She understood the dilemma that presented and kindly focused on helping us find a cocktail to enjoy. Two cocktails caught my eye so we asked for Jennifer's opinion. She said she loved the presentation of one of these in particular, The No. 5. She said it was the prettiest drink they had and offered a good quantity cocktail with a really fun look. It was a pretty pink concoction served on a silver platter in a Chanel No 5 bottle adorned with a black Vanderpumps branded satin bow. The dreamy pink liquid was to be poured over ice and sipped through a golden straw. The blend of ingredients were perfectly balanced and very tasty. The mint garnish brought a bit of sparkly to the blend. The menu describes like this: "THE NO. 5 10 oz / 34.95 What Do You Wear to Bed? Cognac - Diplomatico Dark Rum - Coconut Rum Elderflower - Pineapple - Lemon - Pear - Angostura" The cocktail was perfectly balanced and no one flavor took over the drink, instead the variety of the ingredients came together as a team to create a delightfully nuanced experience for the taste buds. The decor at Vanderpump was a complicated mix of Victorian ephemera and whimsical art and "antiques". It was a bit vintage bordello meets romance set in an antiques collective inspired bar. The colors were rich burgundy and black with loads of roses and crystal with velvet fabrics festooned with flowers. We gave a four star rating for two reasons, ones completely unrelated to staff, service or quality of cocktails. The cheese saturation in menu selections was a disappointment for us and other lactose challenged folks I'm sure. The second factor did affect the ambiance a lot. When we arrived the music was so fitting for the setting so much that it's hard to give perfect examples of songs played. It had perfectly supported the whole theme. It was a bit bluesy and maybe some soft pop or jazz tunes. It was appropriately background, still fun, but not distracting to the whole experience. For the majority of the remainder our visit, the mood music more resembled a rave than a Parisian timeless multi sensory experience. We found this disappointing as well. In spite of this, Jennifer's care for us was a highlight of the experience. She was even kind enough to suggest she take a photo of us. She even chose a background for us. We definitely made a special memory. Thanks Jennifer.

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

Pro: Fear and Loathing menu, updated furniture, yummy drinks…read more Con: Not the previous Laundry Room you remembered, glorified tourist trap, lack of atmosphere control. Slow drink service. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

Sure, it is known; however, it was surprisingly not that busy for a Friday. We were seated at a shell like booth and this space between the back side of the Players Club and the Cash cage, is a lovely and elegant place. Is it expensive? yes. Most other fine establishments are also expensive in Vegas. It is what it has become. Is that good? Probably not; however, it does give you the opportunity to experience something unique and special. Although we had one server, the servers worked very well together throughout our 90 minutes here and really team assisted with each other. Between the two of us, we had three drinks. You can page through the very detailed menu, and I decided to have the Passion's Serenade drink, which was a glass partially frozen with a coconut and passionfruit puree and then also had some chocolate rum, vanilla and fresno chili. It was a delicious drink, and actually was a great "sit back and wait" drink, because it took a while for the frozen portion to melt. The experience comes with some complimentary bar snacks and then some complimentary mini jello shots on the way out. The check is presented in an exquisite "Vault" Type of book. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would return again in the future. Expect drink prices to range from about $30 to $70, with some even higher for the "market price" drinks.
