Discopussy feels like someone found an empty warehouse, turned the volume all the way up, and decided that sweat, bass, and collective chaos were the point. The floor is more than big enough for everyone to move around without being squished and they have what appears to be a private area in the back. We came on a Saturday night to see Autograf and was able to get on the guest list. The line was fairly short and moved quickly compared to other places on the same street. Discopussy has a HUGE bar somewhat in the middle of the venue that took up most of the floor plan. I like the bar's design--it's easy to grab a drink without long lines, and it's a perfect spot to relax and chat before heading to the dance floor. However, the bar could be a bit smaller to create more space for dancing, as the dance floor feels cramped when the venue gets crowded. In regards to the drinks, we got an AMF and Long Island ($36.41with tax) which didn't tasted anything like they were supposed to and reminded us more of an overly sweetened non-alcoholic soda. It felt like a rip-off. If you plan to visit, I'd recommend saving your money and pre-gaming before you arrive. A unique feature of the DJ setup was that the 'stage' was on the ground floor with the crowd, making it feel up close & personal. giving the performance an up-close and personal vibe. Autograf played afro house music, which was chill, positive, and really reflected in the crowd's energy. However, the music was unbearably loud. When Autograf started performing around 11:50 PM, they cranked the volume even higher, making it deafening. We could physically feel the sound waves vibrating through our bodies the entire time. Our eardrums were hurting, especially when we were on the dance floor or passing by the speakers on the way to the restroom. It definitely took away from the experience. read more

We came on a Thursday night, and while I usually stick to the strip, it was good to experience the downtown nightlife. I had seen Discopussy featured on Instagram and mentioned it to the group. We tried to go but they were charging a cover, but someone our friend found free entry and drink tickets so we went in. It's a pretty large space with a cool ceiling art installation and of course a disco ball. It was towards the latter part of the night so it was pretty crowded with people dancing and standing around the bar. The bar itself is in the middle and very large, however it looked like only 2 people were working so it took a long time to get drinks. Not to mention waters that cost like $7 for the small bottle! A fun and very underrated place with bomb music. All the employees from bouncer to bartenders to the cute cocktail waitresses were super friendly and chill. They even provided everyone with glowstick gear, light up rings and really cute plant / sprout hair clips. :D The opening DJs for Pig&Dan were so good! Water is $7 for small and $10 for large. Got in a good empowering conversation with stranger from SF, then she danced the night away. Cover charge of like $25 on a weekend? TIP: Walk down tourist area on Fremont Street to find flyer/coupon promoter to get in for $15 instead (includes 2 drink tickets!!). I think it's good for before 11pm? For all the Vegas bars we've been to over time, it's still a place worth checking out. There's only so many bars and lounges from DTV, Arts District to Summerlin you can keep going back to. This place is probably it's only kind in the area. Vibe: Local chill vibes. Mix crowd. Everyone seemed nice. Chill bar/lounge vibe early in the night before 11pm with everyone in small groups, singles, just easy to probably socialize with others. Octopus and stage ceiling light are cool from afar, as long as you don't look into detail of black paper coming off. If anything, this place seem like there would be creepers lurking around but none seen or happened, or bar was good at crowd control? MUSIC wise was a bit confusing. Local family sya8ng it's techno but sounded like hip hop then techno, then hip hop again. Maybe they need a DJ to really put them together? Speakers were loud and better quality than expected. Early on in the night, there were good amount of people dancing and filling up that dance floor. SEATING: Right side is free seating, left side is table service/rsvp/paid to sit. Stage is upfront. First gendar neutral restroom we've seen in Vegas! Guess Pussy Disco is paving way and being great role models in it. First off, as a lover of dance music since I could remember, I am very thankful that there is a venue we can go to in the historical Fremont Downtown with some of the greatest underground EDM artists! The decor is immaculate and the sound system brings smiles all around. I cannot wait to attend more events at the Disco! I just moved into town from Los Angeles and am excited for more Drum n' Bass and Trance events and will support all the way! The only downside I can possibly think of is the prices of the drinks. We visited last night with four friends, arriving around 10:30 pm. The cover charge was $25 per person, which we were happy to pay for a night of dancing and good vibes. The night started off great - the music was awesome, and we were having a blast for several hours. However, our experience took a sharp turn around 1:45 am. My husband went to the bar to close his tab and was simply standing there with his elbow on the bar and his foot on the foot rail, waiting to pay. Out of nowhere, a security member (apparently the security manager) tapped him on the back and told him he needed to leave. When we asked why, the reasoning given was that my husband was "swaying too much." We hadn't planned on leaving anytime soon and were really enjoying ourselves up until that point, but this interaction left a sour taste and completely ruined our night - and that of our friends. It's a shame because the evening started off so well, but we won't be returning after being treated like that. read more

Me and some friends visited this place after hearing about it and ordered a round of casamigos shots and margaritas.. We know our tequila and know when we've been pumpfaked (putting cheap liquor in top brand liquor bottles). After smelling the shot, red flags were alarmed in our head and after drinking it, we were positive it was top shelf 80% rubbing alcohol. I questioned the bartender and she was adamant the liquor was casamigos. The margaritas were so bad we didn't even finish them. Club was kind of cool but pretty dead inside. They were very unorganized with the entrance lines (there were 2 lines but didn't tell anyone so everyone kept going into one until we asked). I also tried to use the free drink tickets that were given to us from someone affiliated with them and that was a mess and a half! We got them outside the club from a guy who, didn't mention any disclaimer. We came to the bar to use them and she told me I had to go back to the hostess. I went back to the hostess and she told me "you should've told me before you walked in" and I told her no one mentioned that to me. When I get free drink tix in Vegas, I take them to the bar not the hostess. Whateves, I try telling her that I wasn't made aware and she was really making a fuss even though we paid to come in then told me that the male in our party would have to pay $10 more for the free drink ticket. That made no sense to me as we had already paid the admission then he has to pay an additional $10? He can just buy a $14 and call it a day so I didn't understand the big deal lol So I came back and told the server she wouldn't give them to me and she just said she was sorry. Ok so what's the point of the ticket? Lol I'm still trying to understand. I'm not trippin too much on the tickets just the unorganization of the place. That urks me when it comes to businesses Anyway, the music was good and we still made the best of the night and had fun. We went here to see Lady Faith dj. The entry process was smooth. The guys at the door were actually pretty cool and friendly! Drinks are not so badly priced here as well. We got two chilled shots of ciroc red berry and it came to $23 after tax. I didn't check out the restrooms but my boyfriend said the men's restrooms were pretty terrible. We came to Vegas from the Miami area and decided to check out this downtown spot. From the moment we walked in, old school fun vibes kicked in! This place is not pretentious, and a great venue to just come as you are and dance. Unlike the strip, this club has few VIP tables and plenty of space for "commonfolk" to mingle and dance. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. First of all they don't know the difference between reservations and guest list so don't expect them to go by that. It's all said reservations are "recommended" but once at the door you can't even get any acknowledgment without a reservation. Put me and my group on the guest list and it was confirmed and once at the door they turned us away. So I talked to the "boss" on their Instagram and he said to get back in line and when I tried they said I wasn't the right attire. The inconsistency between the staff is insane. Everyone's has a stick up their ass and acts like they're too good to service anyone unless you know them or look the part. This club is a hole in the wall dressed up as a club. It is literally just a room with a dj booth and a bar. $26 for two bottles of water, nowhere to sit unless you pay (and most of the seating was empty on a Friday night), the sound system is okay, but the music is too loud to even think, let alone talk. They had two bartenders managing the entire bar so getting a drink took about 10-15 minutes of waiting. Cover charge was $17 per person. I can get into the best nightclubs in the world just a few miles away for FREE and pay similar prices for drinks. This place needs to figure out what it wants to be. It won't ever be able to compete with Omnia or XS so it should focus on being a great affordable place to nurture a local scene, not a pretentious high-priced LV club because it does not have the facility to support that. At least get some go-gos or something. Sheesh. read more

My friend got divorced and we wanted to celebrate! She made a reservation online and no mention anywhere of a drink minimum or cover charge. We arrived and had to stand outside whilst waiting for capacity to dwindle? (May have been another reason, but that's the only one I can think of.) Finally, the line begins moving and once we get to the door, they ask for a credit card to HOLD. I asked if there was cover before we even wasted time standing in line, and was told no. I brought that to their attention, but was then told sternly that they hold the card for the required minimum drink purchase. It was $30 drink minimum, per person. So for two people, expect to spend $60, three people $90, etc. plus tip. It wouldn't have been much of a big deal to me had the drinks been good, or had the bartenders been attentive to us. We sat for 15-20 minutes at a time between drinks b/c the bartenders were too focused on keeping the male patrons entertained. When we tried to ask other employees walking by to order new drinks, we were just told that they would tell the bartender to get them. The drinks were $10/each. which sounds good til you get them and it's juice with a splash of alcohol lol. And it isnt like you can just decide to leave; since they hold onto your card, you have to get that back at the end when you're paying your tab. Oh and if you think you're leaving without meeting your minimum, don't worry you will get charged the full amount anyway so might as well indulge on all 3 of the $10 juices. The place itself has a cool look to it; the large octopus on the ceiling that changes colours is great, but that's probably the only thing I enjoyed. All they play is EDM music, which isn't my 1st or 5th choice in music. I'll definitely be going elsewhere for better drinks, better service, and overall better environment. read more

Okay Discopussy, I see you! Whenever I'm in Vegas, I usually hit the clubs on the strip and pay lots of $$$$ for a table. With the nightclubs on the strip (except night swim) still closed due to COVID, I decided to visit Discopussy on a Saturday night. I didn't know what to expect from that night, but Discopussy definitely exceeded my expectations! The security were all really professional and kept us socially distanced from other groups in line. I was surprised there was a line when I arrived (around 11:00 p.m.) We had a free table reservation (you can make a free reservation but they require a 2 drink minimum per person). By the time we got to the front of the line, they told us they were only doing bottle service now or seating at the bar. Honestly, I never had to pee so bad in my life, so I said ok bottle service and ran inside. We got seated in their VIP lounge, which is a sectioned off lounge area in the back. I really ended up liking the vibes in there - it was private, intimate, and a little quieter so I can actually have conversations. We ordered a bottle of vodka (it came with 3 mixers of our choice and a tray of gummy worms!). We also ordered water bottles (6 bottles for $30), which is a lot cheaper than other clubs. They also have hookah available for $30 and it ended up lasting us the whole night. I think the hookah was definitely a nice touch and it gave us something to do. Before we knew it, the night was over and it was 4:00 a.m.! The service was spot on and friendly and I really digged the crowd. The WORST bar ever. I wish i could give it a zero star! I should've listened to many of my friends telling me that this place was trash. But i wanted to give it a chance... Anyway, I'll just get straight to the point. 1- You can't dance. NOT EVEN AT YOUR OWN TABLE. Every table is spread out for safety due to Covid, but if you even get up and just even show a little bit of dancing you get what they called a strike. And yes, like they say. 3 strikes and you're out. If you can't even dance then they have no business playing their music so loud like a club. 2- Over Priced for all the wrong reasons. 4 people. We got 4 mini water bottles, and a SMALL plate of chips and hummus. And when i say small. I mean SMALLL. My hands were bigger than the whole plate and it looked like bird food. (Picture provided). We only stayed for 30 minutes and we ended up paying $60 for all that. 3- Service. HORRIBLE. We literally had to flag down servers just to order things. And it wasn't even busy, you can just see them standing around. And here's the best part. When we paid for everything my friend did not want to tip and the server literally asked "oh you didn't tip" and my friend said she would leave it on the table. As we got up the server was watching my friend and right when we were walking away she chased her down and proceeded to ask for a tip. I'm sorry, but i know how the industry works and how everyone works hard for their tip but there was no service. Horrible atmosphere. And just overall a horrible experience. I've been to the LOUNGES/BARS at Wynn and people are at least able to dance in their own tables while still respecting the social distancing. For the pricing i understand about the entry fee my main problem was with the hummus plate and service combined to even pay that much for being there 30 minutes. I came here with my partner and a few friends for New Year's Eve and it was so much fun! 100% would do it again. We ended up getting a table and group package that proved 2 bottles of champagne and tequila plus bottle service. The servers were very accommodating and definitely dressed for the occasion. The music was fun with a mix of electronic and classic tunes that was easy to dance to. Not being much of a partier and expecting to leave a little after midnight, I ended up staying almost until 2am. Forget about what all the recent negative reviews are reporting. If it weren't for your FOOD they wouldn't be able to serve anything. Fat Tuesdays down the street is requiring you to buy a hot dog in order to serve you your alcohol. It's what needs to be done so that they can stay open and so that you can have a good time. Yes, you may not be able to dance standing up, but that's not the establishment's fault. It's a rule laid in place so that they can appropriately meet guidelines set by the state and CDC. That said, during my visit it was very obvious that the owner and staff are doing the best they can given the regulations they're being held up against. I'm actually impressed how well they have everything set up, everyone is socially distanced, masks are worn in communal areas and everyone is having a great time in safe, covid friendly manner. As long as you understand all the covid restrictions and that ALL establishments are required to advise by then, they're doing an amazing job giving us a place to unwind and enjoy while also respecting the guidelines set in place.
