Used Fat Cat N Lazy Dog for the first time to watch my three cats, two who excel at hiding, and two who need meds on varying schedules. Fat Cat had no issues with any of my cats' weird behaviors or giving meds to them. I was traveling over the holiday weekend and had Chrystel come twice a day to take care of my 2 cats. At her 1st visit, she noticed that 1 kitty was in hiding and wouldn't even come out for treats. She called and consulted me and we decided to give it time. The next day, that kitty was feeling hot to the touch and totally lethargic. Chrystel took her temperature (the beauty of having a vet tech cat sit vs. a neighbor), it was 106°. She found an ice pack in my freezer and laid the kitty on it to bring her temp down. She called me for ok to bring the kitty to 24 hour emergency animal hospital. It was crazy there being a Sunday night of a holiday weekend, but Chrystel waited with her until a doctor could see them. She conferenced me in from the exam room so we could get the assessment done. We recently needed a pet sitter & learned of Chrystel's offered services when asking our regular vet's office for suggestions. It was our first time using an outside service for pet sitting, and to be honest, I was very nervous. After reviewing the Fat Cat N Lazy dog website, the positive reviews, and the fact that the company is licensed, bonded & insured, we asked Chrystel for help. In our initial meeting, Chrystel covered all my concerns and instructions to ensure that our 3 kitties (whom are family to us) would be able to be cared for in their normal routines. Since one of our kitties had severe stomatitis, she had to have all her teeth previously removed, thus she is on a diet of wet food only & requires to be served it twice a day (and is used to certain feeding times). We discussed each of their feeding, bathroom, & play needs, and also covered a professional pet-sitter agreement & was offered pet profiles to complete for each kitty. While we were gone, we received a text message at each visit made, that included a list of every item attended to, any concerns that arose, and also a picture of each kitty.
