The food is wonderful, and we've had nothing but good experiences here. My wife has celiac disease, and she's had no issues with any of the meats. As with any restaurant, you'll want to avoid items with bread or pasta if you need to stay gluten-free, but the meats have been a great option for her. We will definitely be back! read more

The service wasn't great but the reason for the bad review is the brisket was really dry. It ended up being 23ish dollars for 3 slices of brisket and 2 sides. The sides were pretty decent but it was not worth it considering how bad the brisket was. read more

Delicious pulled pork...The fully dressed pulled pork sammie features a generous portion of well seasoned, smoked pork topped with their Granny Smith spike slaw, dry rub, cheese sauce and bacon!! Let me tell you something, that brisket was EVERYTHING! The honey barbecue sauce was very good. I was highly impressed. They know how to do meats! A definite 5.0 in my book. Now, let's talk about the sides. Bruh! The mac and cheese was a definite 2.9 and the honey corn bread was drier than a Popeyes biscuit. I give that a 1.0. But you go for the meats, not the sides. Absolutely delicious! I love brisket and this place has some of the best I have had! Tender, with just the right amount of rub. My sauce was on the side so I could try a couple different flavors. The spicy sauce was outstanding with a small amount of heat. The mustard sauce was equally good if you enjoy the southern type of sauce and I do! The Mac and cheese was surprisingly yummy and I am quite fussy about that side. The mashed sweet potatoes were equally delicious! We stumbled upon this gem on a shirt trip to Elmira from Binghamton. What a find! We both ordered the brisket burnt ends. They were delicious and I loved how they sprinkled the rib on the meat after it was cooked. It added a nice little detail you don't often get. The sides were equally delicious, and the cornbread was the best I have ever eaten and I'm a professional baker! The staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant itself was spic and span with a small dining room. I can't wait to go back!! It's a hit or miss with this place. Being that it's basically the only barbecue place in the entire area, i get burnt ends sometimes. I think I'm going to start doing my own barbecue because the burnt ends I order regularly aren't always tender. Actually sometimes they are very tough. Like today I ordered 2 burnt ends dinners with Mac N cheese and Brussel sprout chili. Well they gave me 2 orders of beans instead of the chili. The beans have pork in it and the Brussel sprout chili doesn't. I DONT EAT PORK, at all. So they got the order wrong. Fortunately they said they'd reimburse me for the 2 beans they gave me. I'm so disappointed because this place isn't cheap at all and to get tough meat and the order wrong, I'm very upset. I don't think I'll be coming back anymore. $45 on 2 dinners that weren't good and wrong order is a lot. I guess I'll give the tough meat to my dogs because can't and won't eat tough meat. This place has not disappointed us on any of the 4 times we have been since they opened. Staff is always friendly and open to help with suggestions. Last time we were in kids were unsure of what sides to get and the owner/cook had the staff bring out multiple bite size portions for kids to pick. There are 5 of us in my family and we have tried almost everything which is kind of hard because they keep changing things and adding new things. Following this restaurant on facebook makes me hungry. Not knowing a lot about bbq I asked how it's made and the owner showed me the giant smoker on the side of the building. Very pleasant staff, and even though food was set up as "Togo" do to COVID. Came out multiple times while we were sitting outside at tables to ensure we were satisfied and that we didn't need anything. Really enjoyed the BBQ we ordered 2 "Burnt -End" plates, a pork plate and Turkey plate. The Burnt ends where very good and just as we like them...nice fatty and falls apart with each bite. The pork was tasty but a bit bland- it really needed the BBQ sauce. The Turkey was Ok...not very juicy and also like the Pork a bit bland. The BBQ sauce we got was the sweet one- it was exactly what it should be. All of side we tried where a bit more or "extra", the Beans had bit of pulled pork and a slight bit of heat, the Macaroni salad was just like Mamma used to make, the coleslaw original with the apple bits and final the Mac and Cheese was Ok but did not blow us away. The Cornbread slices are a nice touch...over all a good experience and put the other BBQ joints to shame. We will be back for sure. read more
