Love Salsa's! The food is delicious, and authentic. My favorites is the Shrimp Mojo and the Paradise Quesadilla. We HAVE to order chips with their guacamole and queso - it's so good!! We love Mexican and were excited to try Salsas, considering others mentioned its authenticity. The place is run down, but often the best food can be found in hole in the walls. Unfortunately, the place was not just run down, but particularly dirty. Seems like with the lack of diners, the folks could be cleaning but rather sat at the bar, ate, and stared at the diners - almost daring them to make a request. I've eaten at Salsa's since they open and the food is good, that's why we keep going despite the building being a bit run down. Tonight though may have been our last time eating in. There are two servers and despite it not being very busy, we didn't see ours very often. One of the employees brings their daughter- this isn't new. I've seen her many times at a table on the other side of the bar watching her tablet or playing. Tonight however she was staring at patrons while they were seated and then pulled a chair up and joined 2 woman and stayed. This is not ok. The parent of the child shouldn't allow her to intrude on customers dinners. Lastly, I don't mind a dive as long as it's clean. Lately, I don't think Salsa's is clean. The tables are sticky, the bathroom doesn't have paper towels or, warm water. The holes in the walls are a bit unsightly too. read more

You'll see I quite enjoyed my meal the first time we ordered from here. We were back in town, craving Mexican (when are we not?), and this placed seemed like a fair bet. We ordered a lot of the same shit as last time: queso, nachos with beans, I ordered the veggie enchiladas, and GF ordered the combo with veggie enchilada and veggie chalupa as well as a side of rice. The nachos and queso were enjoyable as they were last time. YES I had concerns about the spinach (please refer to prior review) but one of the problems is that, even though I absolutely adore the fact that they have a veggie menu, pretty much anything else isn't easily made vegetarian if you are ordering via a delivery app. You literally cannot order a salad without a carnivorous protein. Come ON! Salad is supposed to be MY territory as a vegetarian! You also cannot make any comments on the order, you have to CALL the restaurant to make changes. I am a millennial. I don't care if it's a life or death situation I would gladly choose the sweet relief of death if it removes the requirement of making a PHONE CALL. Interestingly, in a twist of fate, I didn't have to deal with the spinach because the restaurant literally just didn't give us what we ordered. We, thank jesus, received the queso and nachos but, we honestly weren't even sure whose was whose because what we received didn't really even resemble what we ordered. There was no chalupa. There were essentially 2 enchiladas with only cheese in them and 2 enchiladas with beans in them. I snuck the one with the beans and mine was sitting in a bath of liquid which isn't exactly appetizing. It was fine, it just wasn't what we ordered. The only, and I mean the absolute ONLY time I think a phone call is appropriate, is if you don't have something I ordered and you want to discuss what I should receive instead. No phone call, nothing. I don't know if they didn't have something or if they fucked up but it's shitty to get something other than what you ordered. read more

The food was great as usual, this is by far our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. However, this particular visit was quite annoying as one of the staff member's child was there and running around between booths just sitting alongside the patrons and staring. I am completely understanding of how expensive it is to find child care, but keeping an eye on your kid so patrons aren't disturbed is important. Whoever they belonged to definitely did not seem concerned or bothered in the slightest. Rather disappointing, completely killed the mood for dinner. Place needs to be renovated, badly. The walls had screws and nails just sticking out, (safety hazard, I'm sure) the bathroom was gross, the lights were so dim, and half of the booths were torn apart. Excellent place with exactly the type of authentic Mexican food that you're craving. The humble interior is still festive and the mishmash of style instantly made me trust the menu even more. There is bar, booth, and table seating that can accommodate a variety of groups. I tried a combo platter (for only $10) and in it sampled the beef taco, a Chile relleno, and a chicken enchilada which came with a generous bed of tender rice. The Chile relleno was by far the best I've had- a tender and mildly sweet and spicy pepper was perfectly cooked with a thin breading and a glorious mountain of warm silken white cheese filling the inside. It was a true delight! The hubby tried the vegetarian enchiladas and enjoyed them, especially as there was a variety of fillings and an ungodly amount (no complaints here!) of the same creamy cheese sauce all over the platter. To top it all off we received a complimentary heaping basket of fresh chips and a wonderful salsa that was smooth, flavorful, and with just a touch of heat. YUM! Service was effective and efficient and the prices couldn't be beat, especially if you pay with cash (and get 4% off your bill). I live three hours away from this place but I will come back for the Chile relleno if nothing else. read more

Food was good but the price was marked on the menu and the charge was different. Tried to question this with the server but she was busy busting her tail. When I spoke with the two gentleman not doing anything- the manager was very dismissive and rude. The server came over and said it was due to tax and I pointed out that would be double tax. They did discount but not very nice about it. How many customers are being over charged. Drinks are also very expensive, no drink menu offered just a $18 16oz margarita, don't get me wrong- very strong but we were looking for a cocktail not to get s$&t faced on the first drink. Had not been there for awhile, but glad we returned. Went with some friends and we were seated right away. Got the traditional chips and salsa, both tasted fresh. We ordered our food and got some guacamole as well. Best guacamole I ever had. Freshly made when you order it. Food came out pretty fast and I was pleased. I ordered chori-pollo, very good. The chorizo was nicely browned the chicken was slightly dry but flavorful. Wife had a pineapple chicken dish that was also very good. Love the food and drinks here. The staff is wonderful. The prices are great! Combo meals are only $9.99. Their guacamole is fantastic. I am only giving 4 stars because the restaurant is freezing cold if you're seated in the front of the restaurant. Love that they include chips and salsa. Which the salsa is great. The food is pretty decent and i have never had an issue dining in. Just be aware with take out orders, there is always something wrong or missing. I've gotten take out 3 times and have always had an issue. One time it was missing tortillas for the fajitas, one time an entire entree was missing (but the second container with the beans and rice for the missing entree was in the bag), and one time the receipt on the bag was my order but the food in the bag was completely different and obviously someone else's. read more

First time visiting, went mid afternoon. Service was at shift change but ample and very friendly. The food was absolutely spot on! Had shrimp tacos and it could not have been better!
