A go-to for us when we want a decent serving of protein with veggies for dinner!! My husband loves the hand cut sirloin, which comes in several different sizes. I get cravings for the herb roasted chicken, which is flavorful and also low cal!!! That cones with a grilled lemon half to squeeze on!! So good! Heat sides except their mashed potatoes are disappointing. At the same time lumpy and watery!! Idk his they manage! But the baked sweet potatoes and regular potatoes, salads and vegetables (usually fresh) are done well. To be fair, it was very busy and a Saturday night. The wait list option got us seated within 15 minutes (apparently the bussers were being slow). However, usually (across the board at TR's in different states) the main course food arrives before appetizers and salads can be finished eaten. We waited over an additional hour for our steaks?? Went for dinner not expecting much and as usual this place didn't disappoint . What happened to the rolls , I remember when they were part of the reason to go to Texas Roadhouse now they are dry over baked and have no flavor served with regular butter this night not the cinnamon butter. We got chili and it was just barely warm and I found a big piece of something in it about two inches long and it was tough so that ruined it .we had the bread sticks which are good but they come frozen in a bag probably so they can't fuck that up . This was our first visit to this fine chain institution. First time visitors get a sampler plate of the different sides -- which is useful, as green beans are very different here. Steaks were okay, maybe a bit below average, but decent value for the price. Waitstaff were friendly but the kitchen was incredibly slow on a Sunday evening. This is the first time my partner and I have been to a Texas Roadhouse. The atmosphere is filled with loud noises and music with a plethora of rock n' roll memorabilia. It was a little overwhelming for me, but I understand some people like that :) We ordered some BBQ ribs, a medium t-bone steak with grilled mushrooms and onions, a side of Mac and cheese, and a side of fries. We were also given a complimentary side of warm bread with cinnamon butter, twice! The bread and cinnamon butter was pleasantly warm and not too sweet. The ribs were flavorful and fell off the bone. The t-bone steak was alright. We ordered steak because it's a steak house, but I guess we realized we weren't steak people. The steak was still a standard steak though, and the mushrooms and onions pair well with it. The Mac and cheese was super cheesy. A little too strong for my partner, but I liked it. And the fries were thick and okay. Overall, we got a pretty good meal after a long day of hiking. Our waitress was lively and generous. Chicken dinner room temp when delivered . Mashed potatoes too cool to melt their version of butter. Rolls delivered half way thru dinner. Salad limp with dark green outer leaves of a head. Nothing crisp as it should have been, and used to be, Gravy for the potatoes was cold. When asked for butter for the taties, butter should be served-- not the dollop of a cream mixture. We've been here twice in the last two weeks for birthday parties. The wait for a table was long, despite calling ahead and being put on the wait list. The service was good and the food was really good, despite my meal being delayed on the previous visit due to being dropped. Texas Roadhouse is a way different experience than Outback, Lone Star, Boulder Creek or some of those other mid-priced chain steakhouses. Don't expect a Ruth's Chris or Palm experience. This is strictly blue collar honkytonk that gets the job done of serving a nicely cooked steak. When you walk in, you'll step on the peanut shell carpeting to wait for your table. While you're waiting, you can pre-select a steak from the refrigerator case and have it grilled your way. I selected a nice looking butterfly shaped 12oz filet and got a ticket to hand to our server. I do love those glazed rolls and that maple butter though! The hostess grabs a basket of these to follow you to your table. With most of the entrees come a pair of side dishes, which you can select a salad to temper your carnivorous meal, which we did with a Caesar and house salad. My wife ordered the 12oz Fort Worth Ribeye, which was a little on the tough side, but had good flavor. My filet was the exact opposite with not a lot of beef flavor (very lean) but was more tender than a baby's bottom. On top of the steaks we ordered sauteed onions and mushrooms, which complimented the steaks nicely. We enjoyed our meals and there's no question that we'll be back here in the future. read more
