    Bbq chicken sandwich combo

Fat Philly's was recommended me to be a family members neighbor when mom and I were discussing what was nearby and where we wanted to score some food. It was close and she said it was good enough to be worth a 25 minute walk (we were driving, so it was much quicker). On the outside, the sign is faded and it is tucked into a little strip of shops at the corner of Azelea Garden and Robin Hood Road. Easy to miss. Don't miss it! Chef Chris is very personable, answered my questions readily and happily. I asked if his bbq was NC style, he told me it was chicken only and homemade, but delicious. I had the chicken BBQ sandwich combo and mom got the fish and shrimp combo. Both served with fries and a fountain drink. Everything that was fried was fried to crispy golden perfection and that chicken bbq sandwich was pretty much inhaled. I agree it was indeed delicious. Keep in mind, fountain refills are a buck and they only have a handful of small tables outside to sit at, if you can deal with that, you should definitely stop by if you're in the area.

Man, fat phillys is a staple! However, these past few times I've gotten a cheesesteak it seems like they're falling off. The meat is really dry and there is hardly any cheese. So disappointed because I was really looking forward to this sub today. I might have to find a new go to, which is unfortunate because I used to LOVEEEEE their subs!

Some days a good beef hotdog is needed. This was the day. I called it in asked for grilled onions, chili cheese ketchup and mustard and it was yummy yummy in my tummy!!!! The local hotdog places only serve raw onions. So I was excited when he said yes that he would grill them. I believe it was about $6 or $7. Quick cheap fix to satisfy those midday work cravings.

Just ordered from here. Lunch for my mother, brother, and self. I got bbq sandwiches, a hot sausage, chili hot dog, wings, fries and steak and cheese. Something someone ordered came with "lemonade." How does the food taste? Mom loves their hot sausages. I'm a fan of bbq sandwiches but found the Cole slaw too sweet and chunky. The hot sauce was concentrated in a single splat on the back end of the sandwich. The taste of the bbq itself is delicious. The bun is also really, really good. The fries taste disgusting. They aren't well seasoned and are flash fried I'm guessing because they have a raw-like crunch as if they're undercooked. They're.just not appetizing. In fact, no one wanted to eat them. The cheese steak isn't anything special in my opinion but I think it depends on how hot and fresh it is when it gets to you. The wings are okay. The "lemonade" has a taste and smell...1. it smells like toilet water. And 2. It tastes like toilet water and what I'm guessing must be urine. The fact that there is ice in the cup is very bizarre. I'm so confused...there's no way no one noticed this. It's as if someone took a ladle to a toilet and put it in a cup with ice and coloring to throw folks off. Establishments need to taste their "drinks" before serving because clearly one of the cooks stirred this with their dirty pissy dick and I'm sick of it to be quite frank. The health department needs to go undercover and investigate these local restaurants because this is just crazy.

I chose the Becca Burger, without mushrooms and their Steak Diablo Fries. They make everything fresh, to order with fresh ingredients. The burger was clearly freshly hand-packed, the jalapeños were freshly sliced, not pickled. Since they make it all fresh, you might wait a few minutes longer than the typical burger joint, but that's fine considering the amazing eats you're about to enjoy. My burger came out looking beautiful and it was definitely sitting tall! The flavor was excellent! Meat was great too!! I definitely liked having their chipotle mayo on it!! Those steak Diablo fries were incredibly tasty, with a nice kick, but sooo much more flavor than heat! The fries themselves were great, perfectly crispy and tasty, but adding all those toppings truly made it special! Service was nice... I had a few questions and she was helpful with the answers. Lastly, they have birch beer here, which I loved! Highly recommend stopping in for a great burger and fries experience!!

After attending Sunday Mass on 1/12/25, I decided to try out King's Philly. Cheesesteaks are…read moredifficult to successfully replicate, despite the fact I generally enjoy the ones I've tried locally. In that respect, if you're looking for authenticity, King's Philly won't make that list. When I arrived, King's was empty. There was one employee at the counter, and I quickly noticed two kiosks against the wall to the right of the entrance. I made my way to the kiosks and noted that the employee didn't say a word when I walked in. I like kiosks mainly because I can see, right in front of me, the entire menu. I noticed an oxtail philly, a bulgogi philly, and even a salmon philly on the menu. With this being my first time here, I decided on a regular old philly - in this case, a Classic Philly Beef. I ordered that and made it a combo (French fries, can of soda). After I ordered and paid, I sat down at a table and waited for my food. As I waited, I noticed that King's Philly is connected to Sushi King. Sushi King has been consolidating their space the past few years as they converted the other end of their suite into a Domoishi, and now this space for King's. By the way, King's interior is bright, colorful, clean, and organized. I waited maybe 10 minutes - the girl at the counter informed me my order was ready, and I picked it up at the counter. There are no fountain drinks available (a drawback, imo), but there is a fridge at the counter where you can choose your soda (cans). There is a second fridge next to it which has bottled drinks. The Classic Philly Beef was okay. The beef wasn't sliced ribeye and honestly tasted like frozen beef that was defrosted and then heated up on the flat top. The philly wasn't rotten nor was it bad, but it wasn't outstanding. And for $14-$15 for an 8" sub, I feel it needs to be outstanding. Also, the bun/roll they used for their philly didn't hold up. It almost immediately fell apart and its contents (beef, grilled onions, grilled peppers, provolone) fell all over the place. I ate a good amount of my philly with a fork, so I wasn't able to enjoy it as a sandwich. The fries were decent - well cooked, so they were crispy. King's Philly is an okay cheesesteak option, but it's not a first-choice one. I was curious since they're new, but when/if I'm in the mood for a cheesesteak, I unfortunately will opt for another place. I will return, though, to try the oxtail and the salmon phillies. Maybe those will help me to become a regular, but the classic philly beef will take a backseat. Thank you, King's Philly! JV

The smell drew me in the first time while visiting Lowe's and so glad I took a chance. A line is always a good sign that there are likely regulars and that spells something good is going on. The menu is posted on the outside and is simple fair type with burgers, sausages & cheesesteaks. The one young guy running the grille was friendly and recommended the cheesesteaks which I gotta say as a lover was suspicious. However I was willing to risk it on the off chance this food stand in a parking lot could actually deliver a fabulous steak. The price was affordable for a footling around $10 and added a bottle water and tip came to $13+ The cheesesteak was completed in around 8 minutes wrapped up and in a bag with napkins. I popped it open in the car and was amazed at the pure size and amount of meat. The smell was glorious with steam waffling above. The bread was fresh and authentic to Philly. The only thing left was a bite and it did not disappoint one bit, just wowzers! It was good enough to return prior to writing a review. It ended up being a carbon copy of my success with another incredibly delicious cheesesteak. This time I used a nearby picnic table to enjoy. This is a chain food stand. The owner has two located at Lowe's in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach on Holland Rd. If you love cheesesteaks then Dominic's delivers a masterpiece and you will not be disappointed. This one was the closest, so I parked and went up to order a sandwich. The place is cute inside, bunch of Eagles memorabilia lining the walls, the big open counter you can see the kitchen through. Good vibes, I liked it. I had looked on their menu before to see what sounded best, and I decided on a mushroom and cheese along with a regular hot dog. The man at the counter explained my topping options. So, I got onions, ketchup, and mustard for the dog, and sweet peppers, mayo, mustard, and grilled onions for my sandwich. He wrote it down, and said I'd pay once my order was called. It was fairly quick despite seeming busy with the start of a lunch rush. I paid, and went to my car for a quick bite before wrapping and eating the rest at home. First impressions, it was hot but not burn your tongue hot. The sandwich was also huge, and the hotdog a decent size. The hot dog was split in half and grilled on both sides, which was a nice texture enhancer. Could've used a little more condiments, I'm a condiment person, but it was a solid dog. Buns were toasted a little and they flattened out a bit, which was nice. It was a good dog to bun ratio. As for the sandwich, I was super excited for it. The bread is nice, spongey, not crisp. The meat was fine, good quality and chopped nice. It was cooked, a little dry but greasy. Cheese was great. Loved the melt and flavor. Sweet peppers were almost like pickles, which added a good balance. Mushrooms were sliced so thin it blended really nicely into the meat. Onions added more savory to the meat. The mayo and mustard made it a bit more moist. Overall, it was a really great, greasy, messy lunch. They did give me a bunch of napkins which helped a lot. I can see myself coming back again, and most definitely will. If you haven't tried this place I would recommend putting it on your list, it's a great spot!

The ordering was overly confusing on DoorDash, charging for each and every topping and condiments. So my husband suggested I call the order in and he'd pick it up. Upon answering the phone the restaurant team member informed me they were pretty backed up and it would be approximately 45 minutes until pickup time. As I began to order something told me to just hang up the phone, I now wish I would have. We ordered a half buffalo chicken hero, for me, a whole super cheesesteak hero for my husband and a personal pepperoni pizza for our son + 2 orders of fries. The chicken on my hero was literally microwave chicken nuggets! I had two small nuggets cut into little pieces on my sandwich. Please see the pictures. My hero was mainly bread and lettuce. It was also mushy and looked nothing like the buffalo chicken sandwich advertised. My husband's Philly was soggy and not appetizing. It's very unsettling to receive food that looks like it may cause you to feel sick. Our son's pizza looked like a frozen pizza. Cheese similar to what kids get on their school grade pizzas. Yuck. Over priced microwave food is exactly what we received. This place is a rip off and should update their menu advertisement photos asap. Fraudulent marketing is not ok. We spent $50 on two subs and a small pizza. We should have just made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and called it a night. At least that way we would know our stomachs would be ok in a few hours. I decided to trash my meal because I found hair in my sandwich. The fries were old and cold, you could tell they had been sitting for some time, as the subs were still hot.
