Friendly helpful staff Nice portions and a perfect dog Cute restaurant First visit and didn't know if I was supposed to clear my own plates and didn't know I was supposed to take sticky note of my order to front to pay.

Summer season is hotdog time. The service didn't take long and everyone was friendly. I sat at the front counter, the seating was comfortable. The restaurant was crowded but service is fast. I ordered 2 hotdogs, fried pickles, shoestring fries, and drink. The food was hot and tasty. I like my hotdog plain or with sauerkraut. I would visit again for something else on the menu.

I love their hot dogs. It's really perfect. Only thing I would change is to order sliced onions not just diced. Maybe even some peppers. But I love it. Now even though I would make that change. That's not really a FLAW to me. But what IS A FLAW is close together the bar seats are. And I definitely understand, the more seats the more money. But having to sit that close to the next person eating was annoying taste of food however...great.

I was in the area just to grab crumble cookies but the little one was hungry. We went to Famous Uncle Al's around 4:30pm because I assumed it was a grab and go type of restaurant but man was I wrong. When I went in the restaurant the workers were super friendly and welcoming. It has a old school diner vibe. I looked lost and confused but was asked politely to take a seat. We were approached by our server. She was super nice and outgoing. I ordered the chili dogs and fries. The crazy thing is that at the time I didn't know they closed at 5pm we didn't leave till 5:30pm and wasn't rushed out or felt pressure to leave! I only found out what time they closed when I was searching for this place to leave a review.

Popped in for a quick lunch and sat at their bar. Service is quick and they are all SUPER friendly. It always has a nice buzz no matter when you go! Hotdog was delicious and snappy. Bun was super soft. Their fresh cut fries with malt vinegar, pepper and ketchup = forget about it! So good and fresh. Definitely one of the best hotdogs in the area! They are very consistent and never let you down!

Visiting from California and stopped by this place today! We got such a warm welcome from every single person working and it smelled great as soon as we walked in too. It was super busy with regulars and you can tell they've built a community in there. Will definitely be back the next time we're in town and will recommend it to our local family!

We always choose the Greenbrier location in Chesapeake since there's ample parking available, and the service is very good. Tonight I tried a new salad, the Lemon Basil Harvest Blend, and I appreciated our server, Jackeline M for asking if I preferred the dressing on the side. Yes, please! I'm so glad she asked! This mixed greens salad has some star ingredients that caught my eye: charred artichokes, green olives, and grilled balsamic chicken. Yum. I'll be ordering this salad again. My bestie ordered her favorite bc combo with Tomato Soup and the Wine Country salad. She says that soup and salad combo never disappoints. She finished it! But, we always save room to share a trusty bc favorite dessert: the Wimbledon (strawberries with whipped cream crepes). Although it's no longer on the menu, the Greenbrier location always whips it up for us when we ask. It's an oldie, and a goodie! We enjoy the cozy atmosphere of Baker's Crust and find that our dinner catch ups over their delicious food and dessert are always long overdue. I boxed half of my salad to take home and Jackeline was kind in bringing me extra salad dressing to go. Very thoughtful. We'll be back soon!

My daughter really enjoyed her grilled cheese. The chicken fingers were more of the bread crumb breading compared to batter so it came off as she tried to break the chicken in half. I had the French dip. It was very good. My husband had the buffalo chicken wrap. He enjoyed it as well. We got the mozzarella sticks as appetizers and they were good. Not sure if they were worth the price but my daughter enjoyed them. I was a little disappointed because the pictures all showed beer battered fries and they came with crinkle fries. If we would have known that we wouldn't have paid for the up charge to get fries.

It's in the same group of buildings such as Michael's (around the corner). My visit here was on October 27, 2025. The outside view of the business is simple, but effective. They have a specials chalkboard next to the entrance. Parking wasn't an issue on this visit, but I'm sure it can fill up at busier times. My mom and I were both in the area as she wanted to go to the Michael's store here. When we came inside, it wasn't busy, as it was around 3:30 pm when we got here. We were greeted by the one who would be our server for this visit. He gave us menus to look at and asked us for our drink orders. I generally stick with water with lemon, which I did here. We were there during the time where it was still the lunch menu (though for us, it was more like dinner for us that day). When he came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't just yet. He also asked if we had any questions about the menu and options and gave us more time to mull over the menu. When he came back, we weren't completely ready, but asked a question about the specials of the day. After that, we knew what we would get and placed our food order. My mom ordered the Meatloaf Lunch Special with mashed potatoes and spinach. I went with the Meatball Sub Lunch Special with mashed potatoes, though I don't normally do potatoes that often. After about ten minutes or so, the food came to the table. The food looked really good, and it was hot too. The bread for the Meatball Sub was very soft and easy to eat. The meatballs were huge and made for a worthy meal. The mashed potatoes with gravy was really good and fulfilling too. My mom loved the meatloaf, and their meatloaf doesn't have ketchup on it like some other places do. She loved the meatloaf, spinach, and mashed potatoes too. After we were done, he asked if we wanted any desserts. We both declined as I normally don't do them anymore. Overall, we both had an excellent experience here. The food and service were on point. The food I had that day did spike my blood sugars, but I expected that with bread and mashed potatoes. I don't make a habit of that though. They are a great local business. There are lots of food options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to eat while in this part of Chesapeake, this place is worth coming to.

He had toast and potatoes as his side. My daughter enjoyed a Eggs Benedict. The food came out pretty quick which was nice because it started to get quite busy. When we arrived, the wait was almost an hour and we contemplated leaving but thankfully, there were two, open seats at the bar, so my daughter and I decided to grab those seats and dine in. The restaurant was very colorful and vibrant and I loved all the Jamaican decor. The bar was just as packed and it took a while for someone to get us menus but after looking over the menu, we decided on the Brown Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken. We also ordered Frozen Bob Marleys, which were very good. As we waited, we were able to hear the sounds of the band nearby and it made for a nice vibe. It took an hour for us to get our food but our server/bartender, Meka, was very sweet and apologetic. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing! It was seasoned wonderfully and extremely flavorful. The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Plus, we saw a few graduates out there as well having graduation dinners. Overall, I enjoyed my food but we definitely picked the wrong day to go.
