My favorite is the Fat Banh Mi-Ki. One of my favorite places to stop by when visiting in the LA area.

Take out please! We went on a sunday lunch time for to go. The staff is chill and polite. Very nice young man. The place is huge, with plenty of space inside and out, and many TV monitors for game night! We ordered food and shakes. Their shakes aren't cheap, but I would order them again. I had the coffee one and itwas really good! we also had two sandwiches. The fat style servings could be shared, but the smash burgers can be all for yourself. I think this place is upscale but if you are calories conscious - your calculator might jump over the limit. My food pictures doesn't look appetizing but they are ! $66ish + tip for 2 . Enjoy my shared pics

Fat Sal's on Brand, you're pretty grand! From the lavish walk up and to the counter, to the dining area, to the service and outdoor seating... This location has a little of it all. Digital menus that change with cool graphic and clearly laid out menu items including their Signature Heros, Smash Burgers, Salads & Wraps, Fat Sandwiches, Fat Sides, Fat Fries and of course Fat Shakes and various Beverages. It was a late night post outing dinner for two vegans and a omnivore. We had the Impossible Double Smash, Plant-based Buffalo Fries, Vegan Milkshake, a Regular Shake, Two Large drinks and two orders of tots in our group of three. It's a little on the moderate side for fast casual, but also good quality, quantity and great service. Was overwhelmed in a good way with the artsy modern street decor, neo neon, gender neutral restrooms with sliding doors (slide toward you to roll open). We had our pick of several flat screen monitors above us while we ate. Everything came out relatively easy, but the milkshakes much longer than expected. Parking in front, locally and at the Americana. All of it paid, though at the Americana you can get validation for certain businesses/places part of it's store, shop and restaurant blocks. Great lighting, music and layout. Super recommend. Fat Sal's also has some great sauces, desserts and merch. Open from 11am to 3am daily.

A few days ago we visited Fat Sals in Glendale. A very well designed and clean restaurant, with excellent service, and, delicious sandwiches. If you're craving bold flavors and serious comfort food, this sandwich shop hits the spot. Their Philly Cheesesteak is everything it should be, juicy, packed with thinly sliced steak, melted american cheese, and grilled onions. Simply delicious. The Pastrami Fries were out of this world. Pastrami fries are not on the menu but they made for me, upon request. Portions are generous. Whether you're stopping in for lunch or a late-night bite, this place is worth the visit. We loved it.

Fat Sal's is a sandwich chain with several locations. This is the newest location. It's located in Glendale on the corner of Brand Bl. and California. Metered street parking and public pay lots are conveniently located. We parked at the lot on Orange and California (less than a block away), where the first 90 minutes were free. This was my first time at a Fat Sal's. I visited with four others. We were impressed by the decor. It was cool and hip with a New York street vibe. The ambiance was fun, social and loud. Multiple televisions playing sporting events and misc videos lined the walls. Indoor and outdoor seating was available. This is an order (with the huge menu affixed to the wall) and pick up at the counter type restaurant. The menu was expansive with numerous original and very creative options for everyone. The vegetarian options were wonderful (Impossible Patties, vegetarian chicken, a plant-based shake, fries, and a veggie patty were on the menu in certain selections. We ordered the Fat Jake, the Fat Chick, the Fat Texas, Samoa Shakes, the Fat Cug, an Oreo Shake, the Impossible Double Smash, a Veggie Patty Salad, Tater Tots, Cheese Fries and Cookies. Our food was prepared promptly, in generous portion and artistically created, especially the shakes which were amazing in both presentation and taste. Other highlights were the Double Smash Impossible Burger and the tater tots. Service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and super helpful. The CEO and President, Josh Stone, was at the location during the time of our visit. He was personable and down to earth and ensured everyone was happy with their dining experience. There were two spacious gender neutral, single user restrooms which were clean and functional. This is a late-night eatery that opens 11:00 AM and closes at 3:00 AM (with the exception of Sunday, 2:00 AM). When the hunger pangs strike, head to this Fat Sal's!

I've waited patiently for this place to open and I randomly checked to see if it was yesterday and it finally was. Now, I've eaten at the location in Hollywood, and I'm happy to report that this place is not only bigger, but BETTER if you're trying to chow down on some monstrous sandwich goodness. My sandwich came packed with everything I had hoped for and more, and while it's great that this place opened up in Glendale, both my wallet and my waistline cry out for the obvious belly busting power of these solid culinary meals bring. The vibe here is awesome, and I can't wait to come back.

There is 90 minute free parking in the structure south behind the building. Inside Fat Sals looks really cool. I should have ordered a salad. But I got the pepperoni pizza smashburger. It was ok. My friend got the Philly cheesesteak and we split cheese tots. The tots would have fed 4 people! It was good but kinda spendy.

Really delicious and cool combination sandwiches. The portions are definitely large which I guess reflects the pretty high price point. I got their (I think seasonal) butter chicken one and it was really good. While the interior is clean and stylistic, if I'm paying $20 for a single sandwich I'd like more than uncomfortable metal chairs and cement tables.

Unfortunately, the service felt very low-energy and unmotivated. It seemed like the employee didn't really want to be there, which made the experience uncomfortable. A bit more enthusiasm and engagement would've gone a long way.

It just feels like one of those places doing a lot for mediocre food. The fat cug sandwich was fine, very average. The seasoned fries were overly seasoned and also had no really taste. They were odd, would just get regular fries and add sauce than getting the seasoned fries.

I must say, I was very excited to try this restaurant, but left feeling a bit disappointed. We ordered ahead of time and when we arrived, the place looked so cool. It was quite a vibe. The let down unfortunately was the food. The Philly cheesesteak was pretty good, but the bread was hard to chew. Unfortunately the fries were cold so it was not the best. I may give it another try with a different sandwich or possibly a different location. I just wasn't impressed this time around. Hopefully next time!

Disgusting. Stale dry food, even with the sauce. Interior was really nice and the service was great. But wow that food was terrible.

The pizza is always top notch--consistently delicious with great flavor every single time. It's the kind of place you can count on, and that consistency really matters. I went to order online and realized there is the common convenience fee tacked on. I decided to order the old fashioned way, go there in person. Then I can browse the store while I wait. It has the usual stuff you'd expect to find in mini markets. But there are hidden gems in the dusty corners like a vintage bottle of Trader Vic's Mai Tai cocktail mix. I didn't check the price but I'm wishing it still had the price tag from 1975 on it. Made me think of the Werewolf of London drinking a Pina Colada and his hair was perfect. Another good find was a dusty bottle of Crème de Menthe. It made me want to look up the recipe for a Grasshopper. I don't know if these old mixer's are for sale or just museum pieces. The sandwiches look pretty good, I'll have to try one another time. Overall the veggie pizza was pretty good, but a bit heavy on the veggies. I generally like fewer toppings, but everyone is different. I suppose in the future I could ask to go light on the toppings. But I'd rather they be generous rather than skimpy.

The kind of spot where everything looks a little unpolished, but that's exactly why it works. The marinated meats are the standout trays packed with seasoned cuts that look ready to go straight onto a grill. Same with the prepared fish, which looked fresh and heavily herbed. It's very much a "trust the process" situation here. Inside, you've got shelves of imported cheeses, spreads, and pantry items, plus a surprisingly solid produce section. The parking lot is small but serviceable because customers don't tend to remain in the store for long, so turnover is fairly regular.

We showed up and the infamous elderly woman with a walker was working the cash register. We asked for a bbq roast beef sandwich with chopped pepperoncini (the menu lists available sides and condiments, this was one). The old woman shook her head no and wagged her finger at us. We tried to push back and request the peppers, and it seemed that she wrote down our specification. We the asked for a Reuben with horseradish added (again, available on the menu). The woman made a disgusted face, wagged her finger in our face again, and told us no. At this point a gentleman from the back let us know that they would be able to accommodate our request, and the woman again appeared to write something down. We ordered a pastrami sandwich, add pickles. Again, finger wag. At this point we were told pickles will come on the side. Ok, understandable. Get me out of here. Ordered two more sandwiches with no specifications because we didn't feel like being berated again. Now the credit card transaction: Woman didn't understand how to handle the transaction, again the gentleman from the back had to explain to her that she can tap the card on the machine. After 20 minutes we received our food with absolutely zero modifications and no explanation. I guess she was faking writing down what we would like. Honestly, the worst part was the sandwiches weren't even great. For such a highly rated place, my entire team was disappointed with our orders. We could've made better at home with a normal amount of effort. Not worth the time, hassle, or attitude. Will not return, and left a bad taste in our mouths for the local businesses. For a town recovering from a disaster, you sure aren't friendly.
